We found ourselves in a pinch with some work having to be done at our home that ultimately required us to completely empty the bottom floor of our house. I never really received a quote but the night before I had mentioned needing movers, we had randomly got a call to confirm our appointment, spoke with someone broke down the numbers and decided it'll be worth hiring these guys. Was told a two man crew to move my large but only 22 items would arrive at 10 am. The first of the two man crew arrived at 10:10 am. I was then informed the other crew member, got his times wrong and wouldn't be there until 11 am. To not waste time and dilly dally, I offered to assist my now one man crew. I had 6 moving blankets and mentioned needing those on a few very valuable items. I was looked at like a deer in headlights, he had no clue how to wrap a moving blanket around a piece of furniture. There was very little care for my items. I tried to offer to carry a 135 year old piece of furniture and not use a dolly, dolly was used. I'm no professional mover, but honestly felt like I hired someone off the street to lift a couple things. While I'm thankful that I "wasn't charged for the second guy" except the 30 minutes he was there, the rate was configured on a 2 man crew so I paid for myself to assist their guy, but was only charged an hour and a half time vs the 2 hour minimum. Overall, I've got some banged up pieces of furniture now. It's truly icing on the cake to the whole ordeal we've gone through with this house. If you're looking to move boxes or junk, these are the guys, but if you're looking for professional movers, keep scrolling.

My service was easy to schedule, pick up and drop off at my new home. You are able to track your belongings which I appreciate. The truck arrived within the time frame provided. Customer service was responsive to questions. It was easy to pay my bill with the link provided. Cons: Keep in mind you are shipping with a freight company. All boxes arrived dusty and three boxes were wet and the belongings inside were moldy. As long as you protect your clothing, linens, and pillows with some sort of protective barrier inside the box, you are good to go. I would also throw a tarp over the top if your boxes. I would carefully protect your electronics in the original boxes. Cover furniture with plastic wrap and moving blankets. Overall I would use this service again keeping the above tips in mind. Lastly carefully scout the drop off location. It was a tight fit and while my landlord OK'd the truck drop off, I did not appreciate how much space the truck and cab would take up.

The online quote is misleading at best and predatory at worst. It's not an estimate; it's a lie…read more The quote will be at least $1,000 less than the actual cost. When selecting the desired footage, do not select an even number. You are required to install a bulkhead, but the footholds for it are every two feet (5', 7', 9', etc.). If you set your quote at 8' and pack your belongings up to 8', you will have to install the bulkhead at the 9' mark and then be charged an extra $123. You can find a better company to accommodate your move, I promise you. The only reason people end up using U-Pack is because they lied about the quote. Whatever your quote is, add $1000 to it and expect it to be even higher than that at the end of the day. To say this company is dishonest and shady would be the understatement of the year. Shame on them, and shame on me for falling into their trap.
