Do not use Two Men and a Truck (Conway, SC location specifically) if you have a large TV…read more We hired them for a full move with two trucks and four movers. Our 85-inch TV was clearly part of the move, was discussed, and was packed/wrapped by their crew. After the move, we discovered the screen was cracked and the TV was ruined. Yes, we were told the morning of the move that TVs are not covered, and we signed the paperwork. But at that point, we were already moving that day and had no realistic alternative for a 100+ pound, 85-inch TV. That kind of policy should be made crystal clear during the estimate, not when the truck is already there. A moving company should not agree to pack and transport a large, expensive television and then take zero responsibility if it is damaged. "We'll move it, but if we break it, that's your problem" is not acceptable. I spoke to the manager, Keith, and told him we were happy with the move until discovering the broken TV. We generously tipped the 4 movers and I was planning to recommend them as I'm a realtor. He would not give a penny toward our loss. We are now out the cost of replacing an 85-inch TV, which is approximately $2000. I absolutely do not recommend this company.

However, they were horribly inefficient. It took a four man crew twice as long to move us out of the apartment as it had taken a 2 man crew to move us into the apartment with the same amount of stuff. Also, we had some bags with personal items in a corner that we said we would move ourselves. They insisted multiple times they needed the bags to use as filler in the truck, and when we finally said ok it took extra time for them to use an unnecessary amount of tape on the bags. Furthermore, we had a couch in the bedroom and this crew could not figure out how to move my couch without taking the bedroom door off its hinges- the whole process took an hour, which was problematic as we were paying $225 an hour. That couch has been through six moves with me- 2 of those times I personally moved with the help of an older uncle and it has never taken an hour to move because it's not a terribly heavy couch. In addition to the inefficiencies, we still have bookshelves, a glass insert, and a remote control that they packed up missing. Lastly, I had several boxes marked fragile in big, bold letters and the crew stacked heavy boxes on top of my fragile items.

I can have a lot of grace and patience especially for newer staff members who may not have the muscle memory for the job just yet, but I came in this last week, waited in line a bit, and was greeted and served by a newer team member. I came with a few art pieces (none bigger than 9x12 in size) I needed packaged and shipped to 2 different addresses. We sat in there a good 45 min waiting, watching the whole time, she struggled to pack them correctly and something in me knew I should have triple checked if the packing slips ended up with the correct boxes but I decided to trust her. Side note: One of those packages was going to a dear friend who just had a huge loss in her life and the piece I was commissioned to do was to commemorate them at the funeral. I gave myself enough time to ship it out so it arrived on time. I left after waiting a long while to finish up everything and got my tracking numbers. The first package arrived when it said it was going to (the one for the funeral) and she opened it and told me it was the wrong piece. I immediately called the store and Kim was very helpful in getting me new shipping labels to then send to each person and get them to resend each package. Very thankful for her help. I was informed that my inconvenience was noted and that a manager will reach out and follow up. It's been a few days and still haven't heard anything. I can have grace for the new trainee but this is when the importance of what's shipping comes into play, you never know as a customer service rep what's super important and what's not. This particular commission getting there late affects my business and makes me look bad for not getting it there on time. This person paid good money to receive this piece on time and was very disappointed. All of that being said, I will keep coming back, I won't let this deter me from support a local business but I share this experience more for the team. I know things happen and I'm really understanding, it just affected my business in a way that may make me reconsider if I should use their packing services and just package my pieces myself. I will still come back to scan and print and ship.

They have not even moved us yet but we already feel so comfortable with this choice, a choice we almost didn't make based on reading reviews for a company similar in name (Southern Guarantee moving out of Florida), where folks are leaving scathing reviews. (Southern Guarantee is not even a moving company, but rather, they are brokers). What a terrible misunderstanding to confuse Southern Guarantee with Southern Moving and Storage! Moving your cherished belongings can be quite a stressful and daunting process, and choosing a reliable mover can surely add to that stress - but it doesn't have to, as we're experiencing having chosen Southern Moving and Storage! They are by far the best folks to handle anything and everything involved with your relocation, even prior to the actual move, and in my opinion, you won't find more helpful, caring people. Selling your home, relocating to a new one, etc., is a lot so at least moving can provide some peace of mind when choosing the right company. Southern Moving and Storage is the right company; they are honest, family people - competitive too, so you can rest assured you'll get a fair quote. They have taken their time to assist us with several significant concerns prior to our move and in all sincerity, we know we've made the best choice. We are dealing with respected professionals every step of the way! Give them a call, even if you just want to chat about moving! Lene W.

They caused significant damage, and I have been trying to resolve this issue since December 2025. I have filed claims and reached out to the owner. After seven months with no communication and lies from the owner, Macon. I have included some pictures of the damage and how they treated our furniture. To add insult to injury, they required me to pay the balance on the invoice before I could file a claim that has not been processed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IF THE OWNER ACTS THIS WAY, IT HAS TO BE EMBEDDED IN THE COMPANY'S CULTURE.
