Elena had hemmed my husband's trousers beautifully, so I asked her to look at my dress. I had extra fabric and she fashioned a panel to extend the bodice so the buttons could be moved, which she did. She also repaired a flaw in the fabrication. Elena did this in record time and at a vey affordable price. She is super sweet and knows her stuff.

We were recommended by a&be bridal shop to have Devon Yan to do some alterations on my daughter's…read morewedding dress. We were so excited as Devon came "recommended " When we entered the shop it seemed in disarray, one guy sat at a table on his phone never looking up (Will the dry cleaner, word of caution, don't go here for dry cleaning) We met with Devon. He was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable and agreed to the task of fixing my daughter's sample wedding dress. I was very put off when he asked for $1700. To do the job, and wanted $700. Up front. I don't get wedding dresses altered every day so I don't know? My biggest mistake. We went ahead and trusted Devon. With each meeting and dress fitting, we felt more confident as he paid attention to detail and (again) seemed knowledgeable. I decided to bring my mother of the bride dress in to bring up the front of the hem and put a slit up the side. Pretty simple right? Not for Devon apparently. I will put that in another review for that mess that I had to take to another alteration place to fix all that he messed up.

We're having a tough time with this venue. My wife was exited to give them the business to clean…read morethe dress. We dropped it off the dress on August 1st and we did not hear from them. We tried to get in contact with them on November 1st and she did not hear from them. We then visited them in person the following week and we were told they had been having conversations with the wrong person about our dress. They promised the following week we would have the dress due to a long day for boxes. We are now three weeks from that discussion with multiple voicemails and still no response. We put down 500 for the cleaning. Such a disappointment we just want to know where the dress is and when will get it.

Edit: I was never offered a 'partial refund'. I was only offered excuses, that she 'did me a favor'…read moreand 'didnt even charge me for cutting it off'. The shirt is factually not in its original condition. One side is shorter than the other. The original condition would require not cutting off the thread in the first place. The fact that you think cutting off a part of the shirt, and then re-attaching it, makes it "original condition" speaks volumes. Terrible, ruined my $200 shirt by cutting off a chainstitch run-off when I asked for sleeves to be shortened. When I brought this up, she became defensive and told me she was doing me a favor by cleaning up loose threads. Completely incompetent. First, she has no idea what a chainstitch run-off is, which speaks to her lack of experience. Second, she has no concept of duty of care. Third, she has no sense of responsibility to own up to her mistake, and instead insists that she 'did me a favor.' I understand making mistakes, but she I think truly doesn't she is at fault, as she said she will keep cutting threads off for her customers. The incompetence and lack of self awareness is almost laughable.

Most of the business here is for wedding attire it seems and that's understandable - major city,…read morelots of people getting married. Sometimes though if you're like me, far from that, you just need a tailor to repair some clothes. In my case I had a couple pairs of pants with popped buttons. I dropped them off and the lady, perhaps Elsta, was kind. She took my info and told me I should hear back in 5 days and took down my info. She did warn me that if I did not hear back, to call. I understand it gets busy here, the rack when you walk in is loaded with clothes and another with dresses. I came back in a week later as I got busy and was close by coming off work and it was not ready. The lady was very apologetic and told me it would be ready the following day. Sure, enough I got a text the following afternoon to come pick up. The pants were nicely and tightly rebuttoned. Only cost $11 which is less than I expected. So, if I inevitably have to bring more buttons to be sewn or zippers to be repairs, I'll come back.

I am very happy with the results and excited to wear this dress for my friend's wedding! I thought the pricing was fair for the work completed, and discounts were provided depending on payment type. They notified me at drop off that the dress would be done in 2-3 weeks, and it was ready for pick up the VERY next day! I will be bringing more clothes here in the future.
