Two years ago, we decided to expand our family and since our cat hates all other felines...a pup it was. Our search began at petfinder.com which is how we found both our dog and Ladybugz K9 rescue. The family run rescue was very helpful, making sure to provide us with directions since their location seems to trick GPS. They work to get rescues from Amish puppy mills and from what I can tell, they do a fantastic job socializing the animals. In fact, when we walked into the area where the pups were, ours was excited to see us and standing on her two hind legs waving. Some of the other puppies were timid and it was explained that they had just been brought to the rescue the day before and they give them about 24 hours to get used to their surroundings and then they begin "hug therapy." In the two years since, we have been able to enjoy a happy, healthy, loveable dog...what could be better!

Reasons your cat may not get spayed or neutered...you bring them in a dirty crate, it's a surgery…read morenot a day trip! If you cant take the time and clean it, then you'll have to take your cat home. If your cat pukes or craps in its crate on the way...you get to clean it once inside. If your cat gets loose YOU need to catch it and return to its crate...volunteers dont chase your pet. If you dont show for your appt day and time, and dont call 24 hours in advance, you won't be rescheduled or refunded. You call and cant get an appointment, sorry limited spots available, we have no control when sold out. Read the paperwork you fill out and bring back...and the take home instructions. The health of your cat is important, if you have a flea problem...speak up...if they are infested and or hundreds of flea eggs are in your crate...nope not bringing that mess in the building

The Rudy at Gold & Silver's Pets was a pleasure to work with. I have nothing but good things to say about his responsiveness and the quality of the min Golden Doodle he sold me. At my request, he did a live stream with my dog's parents and with my puppy (Beau). He told me before I purchased Beau that the puppies are kept with their litter makes in a large area covered with cedar chips and sure enough, Beau smelt like cedar when we picked him up. We picked Beau up in Durham, NC. Rudy lives in OH but makes frequent trips to NC to sell his puppies. It made me nervous to buy a dog from a breeder that lives so far away but it all worked out great. I highly recommend Rudy and his business. He sold me a beautiful boy! After working with Alex, we realized that her biggest issue was that she was "over-excited". Alex recommended her to be on anxiety medication which we found was VERY helpful and needed. He also explained to us how to monitor her levels of excitement by using commands and waiting for her to calm down before she became jumpy, nippy and barking. We also realized that we needed to use a muzzle when new people came in and around our 2 year old to make sure she's not nippy with them. All this and the commands gave us huge relief. We had 4 sessions with Alex and have had her for 3 months and we feel so much better. We definitely recommend Alex. He knows what he's doing and he's so kind with the dogs.
