After 24 hours with the dog, we decided to return him. His alpha demeanor scared my daughter, and the dog scratched and bit the whole time. Nowhere in the contract did it say should we keep our $200 "donation." This woman was thoroughly unprofessional and, unpleasant and a liar. Buyer beware. She is very nice up front, but nasty if you have issues with the dogs.

Reasons your cat may not get spayed or neutered...you bring them in a dirty crate, it's a surgery…read morenot a day trip! If you cant take the time and clean it, then you'll have to take your cat home. If your cat pukes or craps in its crate on the way...you get to clean it once inside. If your cat gets loose YOU need to catch it and return to its crate...volunteers dont chase your pet. If you dont show for your appt day and time, and dont call 24 hours in advance, you won't be rescheduled or refunded. You call and cant get an appointment, sorry limited spots available, we have no control when sold out. Read the paperwork you fill out and bring back...and the take home instructions. The health of your cat is important, if you have a flea problem...speak up...if they are infested and or hundreds of flea eggs are in your crate...nope not bringing that mess in the building

The board, staff, and volunteers work tirelessly -- often behind the scenes -- to provide safe shelter, medical care, food, enrichment, and love to animals who have come from difficult situations. Running a nonprofit sanctuary of this size is not easy, and they depend on open barn visits open to the public, donations, fundraising auctions, grants, etc to care for the furry/ feathered residents! These animals are alive, safe, and cared for because of the commitment of this organization and the many volunteers and supporters who believe in its mission, like me!
