Every Doc Seems to say go here for your broken bones and workers comp injuries. This office is a complete joke. They will take you and once they have you as a patient you are pretty much stuck with them. You will see a different practitioner ( not dr.) on your visit. No matter the outcome u will need a return visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Try and reschedule or call for anything you will leave a message. After a few days you'll leave more to no avail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Youll go back in n even the practitioner will advise you that you are better off just coming back into office n wait in line. Meanwhile they are charging you no matter if they made mistakes to your script, false on people notifying you, false on Specialist that will contact you, because you will have to make a return visit and tell them. Thumbs up... There are reasons for the lower acceptance of All Access Ortho as you are seen my PA which I had no idea when I first visited them with my broken ankle though situation of urgency does make it the most convenient location to take advantage versus going to the emergency. What I didn't realize is that I'm able to get my Trigger Thumb taken care of here and if I knew I would've done it much sooner as I though that I needed a specialist along with an X-ray which my doctor had said so as well only to see that he sent me here which is located in Hale Pawa'a ground floor and parking is free for the first hour and no they don't validate after but I did find meter parking right outside on Young Street since I don't like parking here as it gets very crowded. After register and waited for just five minutes I was seen by a lovely lady and she did all the questions and at least a dozen finger movements only to have the physical took one second and say awww ya that's a classic one and I said I just want the shot and given it in a second and be on my way. Was told it should be good in about a couple of weeks and though the feeling wasn't immediate in about a week I totally felt the difference and was just delightful to have my motion back. It was a learning experience for both the PA and myself and knowing that they have the option to return if needed is so promising and happy to know. Thank you! read more

Y'all need to get on the ball with billing! I have HMSA and have never received a bill from All Access Ortho in my years of service. Today I received a bill that was over 90 days over due- 1st bill I have ever. No current, 30-60 or 90 days notice?! I've seen the care in this facility deteriorate over the years. In the beginning it was great, I would see a doctor about 50% of the time and now I only see a NP and all they do is take X-rays, have me move around and sometime never even touch me or move me around and offer cortisone/steroids. I ask to opt for PT as I don't to bandaid w/ drugs. They ask me if I want a doctors note to excuse me from work, which I don't want. Quality of care is not what it use to be :( [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is easy to get in, great expanded hours of operation and if you have an urgent issue it is easy to get in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So much better than an ER. All Access Ortho (AAO) is a place where we don't like to visit because of an injury. However, when the need arises, AAO is the place to go if you don't want to go to a nearby emergency room (ER), where the waiting time there can be for HOURS and HOURS. You see, earlier this year I had an incident where I slipped at work where both feet ended up in the air and my left body collided with the booth when falling. The pain was excruciating where my left side of my body hurt like hell. I took some extra strength Tylenol but that didn't help. The next morning, I contacted my primary care physician (PCP) where I was advised he couldn't assist me as this incident occurred at my part-time job and he doesn't touch workers comp cases. My PCP then referred me to AAO to get checked. AAO is located on the ground floor of Hale Pawa'a Professional Building on South Beretania Street. They have 2 offices and for walk-in's you check in with the office on to the left as you enter. I proceeded to the receptionist where I was asked a series of questions. It was my very first visit to AAO, so I had to submit my photo ID and insurance card and was then handed a set of forms for me to complete. Upon completing the necessary forms, I sat down and waited until my name of called. I was escorted to a room where the staff asked the nature of my visit to assess my situation. He then advised me to remove my pullover and my necklace that I was wearing that morning. I took several x-rays and was then escorted to wait in another room until the physician assistant (PA) reviewed my x-rays. Within 10mins or so, the PA came into my room advising me there was a minor fracture to my left rib. The PA then assessed me further by asking a series of questions and further checked my body. After advising the PA the discomfort and limited mobility, she offered to write me a note to excuse me from work, but I was working on a crucial assignment deadline, so I declined. After re-iterating the excruciating pain at night when I tossed and turned and the ineffectiveness of extra strength Tylenol, I was prescribed 800mg of Ibuprofen, where I was advised to take as needed. What a lifesaver. This initial visit to AAO was such a pleasant one and I forgot to write this review until I recently had another unfortunate accident at my part-time job. This time I slipped when I walked over an area that was just mopped where I fell again but this time my left underarm got caught with the swinging door from our front counter to the dining area. I saw stars at impact and fell straight on my butt. Luckily, I avoided hitting my tail bone (that happened previously over 10 years when I was cleaning my bathtub at home) but immediately noticed the loss of full motion of my left arm. This sent me to another visit to AAO the very next morning as I felt my injury didn't require a visit to the ER. My second visit to AAO went quite smoothly as my records were already in their system so I filled a few forms, including workers comp. After my x-ray, the results were viewed by 2 attending PAs on duty that showed a tear in my rotator cuff. I was advised and recommended to have an MRI performed but would require approval from the insurance company, where I am currently waiting. I was also asked if I needed medication to ease the discomfort and I informed the PA's that I still have extra Ibuprofen at home where I took for 2 nights in a row just before going to bed to allow me to rest. The PA also advised me to do stretches several times a day to work my muscles every so often. After experiencing pleasant visits at AAO, I am pleased to share the great service AAO provides to the Yeeps in Yelpville. I don't wish anyone to have such injuries to require a visit to AAO, but should you have an unfortunate incident that you would like to have your body checked and not go to an ER with unknown possible waiting times, I highly recommend you pay a visit to AAO. No appointment needed! I had a sharp pain that wouldn't go away. One day, it was so bad that I couldn't get a good night's rest. The next morning, I called my Primary Care Physician. We played phone games... I spoke with the receptionist. The nurse called me back and I explained again. The doctor eventually called me and told me to go to All Access Ortho on Beretania Street in Honolulu. I had been to the Mililani location of All Access Ortho and had a good experience. I knew that it would be a quick process... And it was! Located in the Hale Pawa'a building on the left side of Beretania Street (before Ke'eaumoku Street), enter the parking structure where the first hour is free. I had to pay a dollar on my first visit because I had to complete paperwork, get x-rays done, and get a prescription for medication. Parking was free during my follow up visit (one week later) because it was a quick appointment. I only had one page of paperwork to fill out and there were less questions and no exam. I did have to wait a couple of minutes for a prescription for Physical Therapy, but it was like nothing! The staff is very professional and experienced. The gal at the front desk is awesome. She could process many patients with all kinds of complaints with understanding and kindness! She gave face masks to everyone who didn't have one - in-between answering the phone and escorting patients to the next available room. The two Physician Assistants that I saw were intuitively intelligent and answered all of my questions appropriately. They were able to read X-rays, assess properly, diagnose, and treat correctly! I was there yesterday for a thumb and wrist injury. And although I was seen rather quickly (which I appreciate). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did notice a lot of laughter in the office by the AAO staff which wasn't very professional. Patients come in with pain and injuries and to hear that kind of constant laughter makes patients think that the staff doesn't take their job seriously[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. But the main reason why this is a one star review - I had an injury on my left hand. And the girl sent me home with a RIGHT handed brace. I would have assumed that she's the profession and gave me the correct brace so I signed the waiver that it couldn't be returned Now I'm stuck with a brace I can't use and still in pain. My suggestion to everyone out there .... Go find another orthopedic facility for your injuries. The guys here don't know what the heck they're doing. read more

The last thing you want to do in life is fall down, but has the saying goes, it doesn't matter how much you fall, but it matters. How much do you get back up. I had an unfortunate incident where I didn't look where I was going and tripped over vehicle parking stopper concrete thing. I was OK but my right knee felt entire impact. I didn't notice until two hours later when my knee starts to swell up pretty big. After a few days of icing and very noticeable pain in my knee, I decide to seek professional help. I had an event coming up that I need my legs for, so I was kind of desperate in a sense. I wanted a quick fix fast. I checked Yelp and found All Access Ortho. I was happy that they were located in town and basically on the bus line too. I read their website and very happy that they accepted walk-in patients after seeing the ones that had appointments schedule that day. I got to the office around 8:05 AM on a Wednesday morning in May 2024. I actually carried the new patient forms with me and refilled them out so I did not have to kill time waiting and fill out those forms. I spent an hour or so waiting for my turn to get seen by the orthopedic doctor that morning. Finally, around 9:15 AM, I was called into the X Ray room, where they took a series of x-rays on my knee. It was interesting that it felt like being at a dentist office came x-rayed on my teeth, but this was for my knee. After maybe 15 minutes of x-rays, I was led to the examining room and waiting for the doctor to appear. The good news is that they did a great job of examining me and the prescriptions that they give me to alleviate the pain were very awesome and amazing. Night and day! The overall experience here at All Access Ortho is pretty amazing actually. It's one of those places where it's great to have when you need it type of thing. I guess as we age, we need these kind of services because we all eventually get fragile one way or another. All Access Ortho is basically organized like a doctors office, but they specialize in orthopedic services, like a knee injury or anything that will cause you pain and suffering. The waiting room was surprisingly nice and casual. While I was waiting, it was very nice and peaceful. Maybe it was because it was a Wednesday morning and it was just a good day to go. The nurse practitioner who tended to my knee / leg was very friendly and very knowledgeable. She knows her stuff really well and answered all my questions. It is cool that they have an X Ray machine on site and can diagnose most situations right there during the same visit. I was worried that it would have taken half a day, but as it turns out - around 2 hours ish in total, when you're a walk-in patient. I was glad that I came here first before going to see my primary physician, since the pain was borderline inbearable. Needed the quick fix fast! Thankful All Access Ortho provided that relieve for me. If you need them, they're here for you! All Access Ortho is located at 1401 S Beretania Street, Honolulu. It's relatively near Ala Moana Shopping center. They accept most major health insurances, which is always a good thing. Best to have an appointment, but good to know that they accept walk-in's too. As far as parking goes, the building does have covered parking options. Other than that, you're stuck looking for street parking wherever you can find it. As for me though, I ended up walking here from Jack In the Box on Kalakaua / S Beretania. Short walk. After my visit, I took the bus afterwards. All Access Ortho sits on the S. Beretania Bus line, so a few routes stop literally across the street from there. For the most part though, very thankful and blessed that they are here and accepts walk-ins. I'm always impressed here. I had another injury playing recreational softball on Sunday. Did the whole "RICE" thing and went to All Access Ortho in the AM as a walk in. Maybe they could actually try to care for or help patients that are not pro athletes or college players instead of treating people like they're nothing and not important based on their age or level of play. I work with college and highschool athletes and I WILL NOT recommend them to this group, especially Dr. Blum. I will make sure they all hear the stories of how we are being treated there. What's worse is after telling my story to my Athletic Director she already knew this doctor and already knew he was this way. She experienced the same issue with him very recently. She actually decided to never go back and walked out of his office. I started to feel pain in one of my wrists and it did not feel any better the next day. I made an appointment for a Minute Clinic since it was the weekend and not an emergency. Once there the nurse practitioner said she could not fully diagnose what was wrong and recommended All Access Ortho as they could do X-rays. No appointment needed so I went to the location in Hale Pawa'a. It was easy to find on the ground floor, left side after you enter the building. The person at the reception desk was friendly, took my insurance information and gave me forms to fill out. As a side note I thought it was unusual they ask which high school and college/university you went to. I am not sure what that has to do with medical care! Anyway I filled out all the forms and got called into the X-ray room. The room itself was a little disorganized with boxes and random supplies stacked here and there. The X-ray technician was nice though and had me hold my wrist in different positions. After that I waited a few minutes in an exam room and then was told the results of the X-rays. I could either wait for it to heal on its own which could take weeks or get a shot to speed things up. I opted for the shot to get back to normal quicker! The next day I hardly felt any pain and was almost back to normal. I still took it easy and didn't feel any pain the second day. Overall a good experience and I know where to go now if I have any other orthopedic issues! Parking is convenient in the attached garage and the first hour is free. read more

This place is located on the ground floor of the Hale Pawa'a building on the corner of S. Beretania and Keeaumoku or for those of you who have been around to know the old Meadow Gold building. You can access the parking lot from either side of the building. The first hour is free, then it is $1 per half hour thereafter or $3 flat rate. I came here as it is the Urgent Care for injuries as they have the state of the art surgical center that can handle things from sprains, strains, dislocation to broken bones. The in house x-ray service saves so much time as the doctor can take a look at right there and tell you if you have any broken bones. They prescribed some medicine to me and got it to me before I left. The pharmacist came in and explained the details and all. It was a great one stop shop so to speak. Dr Kai was thorough in checking me out and even gave me some additional information. Besides being in pain, I had a great experience so far over here. read more

Even then I was not given what I requested and told to just print out on my online account[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I could not print it out because the website only lets you print the most recent statement and not any former ones. Care was great! The PA Erin actually took time to listen to my history, symptoms, and thoroughly examine me before providing recommendations for a short-term and long-term plan. But the office staff... 1) I presented my insurance status and they acted like they weren't sure if I could be seen. Back and forth while I continued to fill out paperwork until I was finally told that I would need an authorization for care. I told them that was not consistent with my past experience and I do not need authorization to be seen for an injury, but they told me to just talk to my PCP and ask for a referral. Instead I called my insurance and told the rep what was being relayed to me and the rep said I was right and did not need authorization. When I asked if she could speak to the staff on my behalf she obliged, but when I tried to give the phone to the staff, they were like no it's fine as long as YOU know there's no authorization needed. What. That's what I said from the start but was given a hard time and the reason why I sat there for 20 minutes on the phone trying to reach someone at Tricare... 2) the staff also literally never pick up the phone, or call back if you leave voicemail(s). I also tried to contact them thru the website and got no acknowledgment so it's just a blackhole of communication. It's really bizarre and annoying that you can't reach anyone. I just wanted an after-visit summary since I was not handed one during checkout. There are a billion other reasons why a patient, pharmacy, PCP, specialist, anyone really would need to call this office for reasons outside of the care but tough luck to you if you're not physically there in front of someone to make them speak to you... read more

I strained my lower leg muscles, reentering zumba lessons from not exercising regularly. Filled out the online forms, stood in line, and got treatment after 1.5 hours. Filing out the forms helped even tho I was a repeat customer. It was busy! Got my x-ray (the tech was super kind and great). A UH internist collected my info and then gave it to the regular person... I forgot the type med. title of the licensed practitioner or nurse... Although I couldn't get pain relief due to allergies to pain relief meds and substitutes, I did get exercises that could help. Thank you! I can rest my mind knowing the pain will eventually subside and that there are no factors in my right leg. Only muscles that need relief. Mahalo! read more

Brought my 92 yr old mom here after a visit to Queen's Urgent Care. They recommended I see them due to the nature of her injury, a fractured knee. Oddly enough, one of my best friends had also suggested I see them as I was texting her from Urgent Care, letting her know what happened. Soooo happy to have found them. The PAs there are so caring, helpful and knowledgeable. Make an appointment if possible. You won't have to wait as long. Can get pretty crowded, especially the weekends. But having an appointment helps secure a reasonable wait. The facility itself is fresh, new, and clean. Ultimately, the care you receive is great. Highly recommend. read more

I had an appointment but was told when I arrived that' it's first come basis so my appointment didn't mean anything. 2' 1/2 hrs and still wasn't seen. 1.5 hrs driving to this place for nothing. So disappointed. The people who make the appointments should explain that it's first come first serve, regardless of an appointment for new patients. The front desk receptionist should also explain that there are two lines you're waiting for an x-ray and then you have to wait again to see the doctor. When I left after 2 1/2 hours I was told there were four people in front of me so it would've probably been at least another hour and there is no communication to people who are waiting patiently it's just really a terrible way to run medical practice. read more

NO ACCESS ORTHO... Went in for my 2pm appointment waited 25 min for them to call me to get x-ray then told to wait outside. Prior to even seeing anyone they send me my co pay bill via email. Went back in at 3:15 receptionist asked what i was there for. Asked how much longer i need to wait b4 i can see anyone. They told me i was next. Then a nurse comes outside to explain that they are busy with walk in patients. Told her I've been waiting hour and fifteen minutes and asked if they gonna pay my parking. Oh course she said no. WTF do i have an appointment for??? Ended up leaving after another 10 min. To it all off had to pay $2 to get out of there. No respect for people's time. Great experience in a tough situation of being 8 months pregnant. I wasted my time at another urgent care where my concerns for a fracture were dismissed. I was seen quickly at All Access Ortho, able to get a X-ray with belly shield to protect the baby, be shown the X-ray demonstrating a fracture, and be provided a correctly sized boot in under an hour. Everyone was kind and professional. As someone who works in healthcare, I am very appreciative of my experience of being well treated as a patient. read more

I broke my dominant wrist on 2/28/23 and am using both hands to type out this review on 5/30/23. My fantastic recovery started at All Access Ortho. My wrist needed to be reset and the nurses took two try's to get my wrist in place. It was painful, but they did well. I especially appreciated that once they finished resetting the wrist, they also xray'd the wrist before sending me on my way. I was in and out of there in about 2 hours. I was referred to get surgery through Minimally Invasive Surgery, then have been going to follow-up appointments through All Access Ortho, but their regular office, rather than the urgent care. Hopefully I never need to see these guys again, but if I do end up needing orthopedic help, I'll definitely be back. read more

My husband's knee has been bothering him for a week. On Friday, he woke up with a swollen knee and unable to put any pressure on it at all. We called our PCP (who wasn't able to see us), and the receptionist recommended we come to All Access Ortho. We were so glad we did! We filled out the paperwork and within a few minutes, my husband was taken in for xrays. We were shown to an exam room and within a few more minutes, Lindsey (PA) came in to go over the x-ray. Lindsey was terrific! Not only did she explain everything in detail, she gave us options while explaining the pros and cons, and during all of this, she kept asking us if we had any questions. After doing an ultra sound to see how much fluid build up there was, we decided the best course of action was the cortisone shot, knee brace, and physical therapy. It was a great experience! They use PAs (Physician Assistants) to read x-rays on initial visit. INSIST a Doctor sees the x-ray and you especially on the first visit. The 3rd PA read the x-ray accurately and referred us to the Doctor. Very disappointing! read more

Can in with a painful stiff knee and they drained some fluid and gave me a steroid shot. I've had this done before and both times solved this painful issue that tends to develop over the course of a few years. Like any urgent care you might have to wait but the staff are great and hopefully it will be another few years before I have to make a visit and/or ugh... have knee surgery to correct a chronic problem. read more

The time to see a provider (PA) was fairly quick. The time to diagnosis was quick also. I only asked to have Ibuprofen order for pain meds but i wasn't able to get it because the PA did not put my order in, even after two days being seen. I called and asked them if they could put the order in, again. but i called longs again and still no order. i should have just gone to my primary doctor. Waste of time! No doctors.. just a PA gives you prescription and pages of exercise!!! The muscle relaxer prescription was NOT available at Longs! Called soon as we got home... RECEPTIONIST never answers phone!!! At 3 pm 10/20 it wasn't busy One person in waiting room!!! Wanted to ask if could call into COSTCO instead!!! So basically you are in pain Walk in for help... they send you out with drugs and exercise and could care less about following up and returning your call!!! So don't waste your time at this place!!!! They are located in Hale Pawaa building on Beretania and Keeaumoku. Parking entrance in building on left Beretania. According to website, the business is operated by Darryl Kan and Gary Blum. Both doctors are part of Orthopedic Associates and Minimal Invasive Surgery. Mom couldn't get an appointment with 3 doctors at Orthopedic Associates. She was referred by Dr. Kan's office of Orthopedic Associates. This place is for urgent care for orthopedics but name of business is misleading. Mom had X-ray done and was seen by Dr. Kan. Per Dr. Kan, diagnosis is that pain in leg was caused by arthritis and take extra strength Tylenol. Arthritis is more severe in one leg than other. Humana copayment is $39.00. My observation is that some people are regular patients. read more

I came in with a pained knee with suspicion of ACL tear. X-rays were taken and was able to see a Physician's Assistant who did range of motion tests. Also suspected ACL tear. Told me that MRI might not be for 2-3 weeks and first doctor's appointment scheduled for 5 weeks from today. Offered a brace (I already had one). That was it. Everybody medical person that I've talked to and every google search on ACL tears since going to All Access Ortho strongly recommends a prehab regimen to increase strength and range of motion BEFORE surgery. Every single source recommends the same exercises. No mention of prehab was mentioned to me by the PA at AAO. No pre-surgery goals were discussed (on the very real chance of surgery needed) by the PA at AAO. None of the exercises were suggested to me by the PA at AAO. No care recommendations for the swelling were offered by the PA at AAO. I am going to seek out a new orthopedic surgeon and clinic that may be more proactive. read more

I have been having hand(thumb) pain for a month. It's so hard to get a doctors appointment so I decided to go to Ortho. I was in an out of there in 40 minutes even getting an X-ray. Everyone was awesome an did their jobs well. Especially PA Chasen D. He diagnosed me an treated me in less than 10 minutes. Not to mention he gave a cordsal shot. Do not come here for injuries, come here if you need CHILDCARE! Apparently the business doesn't hire professionals- they hire parents who are not responsible in taking care of their own obligations at home and they are allowed to bring their children to work. Front desk is extremely rude and too busy taking care their children, therefore they have no time to care of customers. read more

Swollen knee was finally too painful to stand on so I went to All Access Ortho and was seen quickly, diagnosed and then treated. Pulled 15cc of fluid from my swollen knee and given a cortisone shot and I was back to 100% after gimping for over 6 months. Reception, Radiology tech and both PA's were all great! My knee is back to 100% now and pain and stiffness free. read more
