Dr Kanayama saw my aunty for a cut. The staff cleaned the wound quickly, updated her tetanus and repaired it. Healing very well!

Rating: 1 Star Subject: EXTREMELY unprofessional care and…read moreconcerning behavior I'd like to preface what I'm about to say by mentioning that I have fatal and severe allergies and have been through this many times before. I carry an epi-pen and I'm quite knowledgeable about the protocols and treatment of an allergic reaction. I am writing this review to warn others about my experience at Queens Island Urgent Care Kaka'ako Clinic today. If you are in need of genuine medical attention, I STRONGLY suggest bypassing this facility and heading straight to Longs or the ER instead. My experience with the staff here was overwhelmingly negative, with one notable exception: the male nurse on duty, who was the only person to show any level of professionalism and empathy. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. S. Nguyen was abysmal at best. From the long wait when I was the ONLY patient in there to the moment she entered the room, her demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional; she even rolled her eyes at me. Rather than focusing on my active allergic reaction or assessing the risks of anaphylactic shock, she seemed more interested in my skin color. Furthermore, she made disparaging insinuations regarding substance abuse. I am proud to say I have been clean and sober for YEARS, and I found her behavior accusatory and completely irrelevant to the medical care I was seeking. Beyond the lack of empathy, the clinical care fell well short of standard expectations. Dr. Nguyen failed to ask the necessary diagnostic questions I am typically asked when dealing with an allergic reaction, and she provided inadequate treatment, prescribing only two prednisone pills to address the swelling. It is disheartening to see how many healthcare workers have seemingly lost their desire to care for patients. While I understand that administrative burdens and insurance companies place significant pressure on medical staff, that is never an excuse to take those frustrations out on patients. The level of apathy and total disregard for patient well-being I witnessed today is not just unacceptable but unwarranted! I left this clinic feeling unheard and unsafe. I urge others to seek care elsewhere.

The doctors I saw came across as dismissive, rushed, and condescending. Instead of feeling heard, I often felt like my concerns were being minimized or brushed aside. Questions were not fully answered, and discussions about my health frequently lacked the detail and explanation that patients deserve. I sought care because I had legitimate health concerns and abnormal findings that warranted follow-up and discussion. Rather than receiving thoughtful guidance, I often left appointments feeling more confused than when I arrived. In some cases, information documented in visit notes did not reflect the depth of discussion that actually took place during the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that the nurse practitioners and APRNs have been excellent. They took time to listen, explain why testing or follow-up was needed, and treated me with respect. My experience with the emergency department was also positive, professional, and compassionate. This review is not directed at the nursing staff, APRNs, or emergency department. They have consistently provided better communication and patient-centered care than any of the physicians I encountered. After three different PCPs and the same experience each time, I have lost confidence in the physician care provided by this clinic. Patients should not have to feel talked down to in order to receive answers about their own health.

Just like many other urgent care locations, the wait is sometimes really long because you are seen based on the severity of your need and depending on how many people arrived before you. I like this location because of its conveniency... In the Kakaako area, next to Ward Center. Parking is above in the Whole Foods parking structure. The patient service has always been good and they are attentive. The clinic is also very clean, from the moment you enter.

It was a nasty cut and the whole situation was honestly terrifying at the time. I'm a little late writing this review (it's now February), but I'm finally fully healed and I've been thinking about how grateful I am for the team at Doctors of Waikīkī. Dustin did incredible work on my stitches. The injury was pretty bad, but he handled everything with so much care and precision. You can tell he really knows what he's doing, and I felt like I was in good hands the whole time. And Tabitha truly made the experience so much better than it could have been. She brought such positive energy into a really scary moment. She kept me calm, made me laugh, and helped take my mind off how painful and overwhelming everything felt. That kind of kindness really sticks with you. The whole office had great energy and a genuinely caring team. Even though the injury itself was awful, they made the experience as good as it possibly could have been. Funny enough, if they heard what happened after I got back to Sacramento they'd probably be surprised -- and maybe a little pissed -- because a doctor here took my stitches out too early and I ended up having to let it heal as an open wound. But through it all, I'm finally fully healed now, and I'm really thankful for Dustin, Tabitha, and the whole team for helping me through the start of that journey. They turned a really scary moment into something I can actually look back on with gratitude.

Thumbs up... There…read moreare reasons for the lower acceptance of All Access Ortho as you are seen my PA which I had no idea when I first visited them with my broken ankle though situation of urgency does make it the most convenient location to take advantage versus going to the emergency. What I didn't realize is that I'm able to get my Trigger Thumb taken care of here and if I knew I would've done it much sooner as I though that I needed a specialist along with an X-ray which my doctor had said so as well only to see that he sent me here which is located in Hale Pawa'a ground floor and parking is free for the first hour and no they don't validate after but I did find meter parking right outside on Young Street since I don't like parking here as it gets very crowded. After register and waited for just five minutes I was seen by a lovely lady and she did all the questions and at least a dozen finger movements only to have the physical took one second and say awww ya that's a classic one and I said I just want the shot and given it in a second and be on my way. Was told it should be good in about a couple of weeks and though the feeling wasn't immediate in about a week I totally felt the difference and was just delightful to have my motion back. It was a learning experience for both the PA and myself and knowing that they have the option to return if needed is so promising and happy to know. Thank you!

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the front desk employee who checks patients in at the desk on the left side when you walk in. Both times I've been here, she's come across as cold and unwelcoming. Her tone is very monotone, and it felt like I was bothering her just by checking in. During my follow-up visit, it looked like she was eating lunch, so maybe the timing wasn't ideal, but this was the second time I had the same experience. After my first visit, I figured maybe she was just having a bad day. But after the same interaction happened again, I felt it was worth mentioning. I'm not trying to be mean or get anyone in trouble. I just think the person who greets patients is the first impression of the office, and a simple smile or friendly attitude can make a big difference. Especially in a healthcare setting where people may already be stressed or nervous. Other than that, my experience was great, and I'd definitely come back. I just hope the front desk experience becomes as welcoming as the care provided by everyone else.
