I had Amalia as my instructor and she was the best! She kept me calm the entire time and her directions were very clear. Amalia taught me almost everything I needed to know during my first lesson, including parallel parking and K turns which she made me do several times over until it was like second nature. She is very alert and will point out if something you are doing is incorrect, immediately teaching you the correct way afterwards. Amalia is very patient, kind and humorous, which makes the lesson very enjoyable and relaxing. She arrived on time and did the entire 2 hour lesson. I highly recommend Amalia! read more

These people are crooks. They are over priced and under deliver. Go with Mike at ShiftAbove2 Driving school. Mike is friendlier, more knowledgeable and a better value. Had a lesson at 10:30am. The Instructor was super grumpy and standoffish. Did not introduce himself. Was very short with me. During the lesson I had to force him to explain things to me by continuously asking questions. Even then I would get very terse answers. Mind you, some people might be too shy or nervous to ask questions (especially teens), but if I hadn't pushed this guy to explain I would have walked away with absolutely nothing. The only time I heard him laugh was when he was making fun of a mistake one of his past students made. It was like being back with my abusive parent again and having to tiptoe around one of their miserable moods. Then when I called the office to tell them the instructor was miserable the woman I spoke to interrupted me and started talking over me. I don't care how long he's been with your guys. That's not how you treat people. He did drive me home at the end of it. But I would have much rather he just treated me like a human being and left me at the meet up point, than treating me like garbage the whole time and then trying to make up for it later. I really wish I'd checked yelp before I booked this. I see some other bad reviews on here too. I'm so disgusted. Don't waste your time or hard earned money with these crooks. read more

Emil was a great instructor. Before driving with Emil, my nerves would take over while driving. After taking one class with Emil, my nervousness disappeared. On the day of the test, he was on time and we continued to practice beforehand until I was ready to take the test. He showed me the course beforehand as well. His customer service went above and beyond and helped me get my license. read more

The school was excellent!! The staff answered all my questions and was super helpful!! They changed the date, time and location of the drivers test, took our frantic call the night before the test to be sure we had all six points of id. Great job by Frank and Merry helping my daughter Sarah pass her road test. She only had 6-7 weeks before the road test. Frank and Merry were very nice and professional, very easy to get along. They were punctual, patient, and good at their teaching. I think their rates were reasonable and hours were flexible, we felt no pressure to book unnecessary hours of practice. I did the 8 hour package courses with the All American Auto Driving School during Spring Break of 2023. Honestly, Merry was a pleasant teacher and she trusted me with my driving. When she was out one day, I had Jim. He, on the other hand, made me nervous about the lesson when I first got to his car. He didn't gave me a comfortable feelings. In fact, he made me upset because I think he made comments about other people's driving. It was nerve wracking. He also didn't teach me anything about parking just turning and that's it. Actually, the structure of the lessons were almost similar like just practicing turning and that's it. They taught me a little about mirrors and turning the wheel straight but it's not enough for me. Anyways, that's my honest feelings. After that, I wanted to go another driving school. Currently, my parents and I booked lessons with Mike from ShiftAbove2 driving school. But I might tried All American Auto Driving School in the future because my parents took their course and manage to pass the driving test. read more

Amalia is fantastic! She makes you calm and comfortable while correcting you and helping you in a way that is reassuring. She's honest and helpful and will follow your lead. If you are experienced or more comfortable, she will challenge you and talk more about technique. If you're nervous, she reads your body language and gauges your needs. Like any good teacher, she meets you where you are. She knows the system well and can advise you with certainty on the steps you need to take to get your license (when even the DMV isn't so sure). I highly recommend taking lessons with her! You can't go wrong if you're careful and listen attentively to her instructions. The person I spoke with on the phone was very responsive and pleasant to talk to. This made me feel relaxed and trust in the school. (I had a bad experience with a rude owner at another driving school and this was a welcome change.) The positive attitude of the receptionist and how she was flexible and understanding when I discussed my schedule was lovely. She actually called me back after I called and didn't leave a message and that was a nice surprise. I've called several times, and never an answer. Yet, I receive a call back because they saw my missed call. You would think this means they are looking for business. However, when I mentioned that no one ever answers the phone and inquired is that normal, I received a NASTY response. The woman snapped at me and said "Goodbye. The most inconsistent school and they need to know that they are not the only school out there. We had to make a change in our appointments and the girl who does this for them is incredibly rude. I believe her name is Janelle, and we were so shocked that someone can be this inconsistent and phony. She purposely wouldn't pick up the phone or return our calls. The worst part was that it was the day before my daughters DMV test. Luckily I called another school in the morning of and was able to hire another teacher. I paid for the 16 year old drivers lessons for my daughter. Every time I called the school I spoke to a knowledgeable and polite receptionist. My daughter's driver was Amalia (spell?). She was incredibly friendly and punctual. They are one of the only driving schools around that offers lessons on a manual transmission (once a learners permit is obtained). NEVER get Fred, he is very rude and aggressive, when I was doing my 6 hours of driving he would yell at me all the time for no reason, and he has an accent that is very hard to understand and he made me stand in line for me when there was no line, and he criticized me after I told him where I'm from and he said "you obviously don't speak Spanish at home" and yelled at me when I took the wrong turn when going to the driving place. But luckily, after calling I was able to switch to Frank and a friend told me that he's better read more

Jim was an absolutely great driving instructor for me when I was practicing with him. He's a nice guy who is willing to talk to you at a personal level, but that doesn't mean he is going to be easy on you. For he does retain a strict attitude when it comes to the actual practice lessons, but not in such a way that makes you feel like uncomfortable. Jim is always willing to tell what you're doing right and what you're doing wrong, to make sure that you are as prepared as possible for the driving test. Besides, he is genuinely a nice man to have while driving and isn't afraid to mess around with you and talk with you. If you were to have a driving instructor, you're best bet is with Jim. read more

My son just completed his 6 hour driving course with this company! His instructors name was Harry and we were very pleased with the experience. As a parent you can imagine how scary it is to send your child on the road for the first time!!! Harry was very professional and patient and made my son feel at ease. They missed appointments for my son's lessons we had to change to accomodate them. On the day of his test they were a half hour late picking him up, and then he was out of school for the full day because they made him wait while they picked up another student. My son passed his test at 11:00am but did not get home until after 2:00pm. They charge $20.00 for a certificate of completion to give the insurance company. Also they are quite rude on the telephone. In observance to Mr. Steve's review. I am the instructor who took dear Stephen to his road test. We were late but we called ahead of time to let you know. And I wish to explain to you we do our best to accommodate our students needs. But we work with DMV times and they dont always go as accurate as we hope. Even when appointments are given at certain time you can still end up waiting in line for at least one hour after your "appointments time". And then go and spend at least another hour or more (depending on what day of the month we are and how many DMV employees took a sick day), processing your photo ID. And as we also have other students to attend to, we do our best to to serve them as promptly as DMV allows it. We cannot cancel someone's road test only because the DMV has a delay. We are forced to overlap times and schedules because we know WE CANT cancel an appointments just because DMV is delayed in completing one student's id or road test. I will always appreciate you doing business with us, and It was a great pleasure to have your son as a student, and I am delighted to have helped him pass his road test. I know he will always be in my memory as one of the most caring and kind kid I can remember. read more
