The first day, her husband, Julio, got a lot done. We were excited and thought this is great. It QUICKLY turned into a nightmare remodel!! When they did come to work, it was about 10:30am to 3pm, and hour for lunch during those times. We heard every excuse why they couldn't come out, somebody was sick, dog ran away, plumbing issues, short staffed, weather, etc... We rarely saw Julio, and Katie would come out, just to get money. One time she wanted a check early, because she said she couldn't pay her guys. (Even though I always paid the amount due, ahead of time) Fast forward to mid February, Katie comes out, wanting the final payment, which was over $16,000. She promised everything would be finished by the end of the week. She kept bullying me, until I gave her the check that day. (Which, in the contract, you pay the final 20% after completion. And again, I was ahead of schedule) They never finished the remodel, would not answer our calls, texts, emails. My husband talked to Janelle, at their store, a few times, but no response from the owners Katie and Julio. (BTW- work was subpar, except for what Hilberto and Florencio did) It is now December 8th 2021, over a year later, and house was never finished, even though Katie and Julio took 100% of our money!!,

Well it didn't, so I had to re-grout so that the cream background w/dark speckles in it didn't look like PB on Cookies and Cream. They offered to come 'fix' it, but I didn't want them in my house again. They also hadn't measured properly the first time, and had to redo part of the counter, and left a 1/2 gap between the overlay and the wall. Just left it empty.

Over the last year I had 15-30 pieces start cupping and different issues . I spoke with Troy who sent John out, the original installer . He checked things out and said he would let Troy know . A couple weeks I got a call from Troy who said I found the same materials , I could and will have John come out in a couple weeks and fix the issue . I chose a style and pattern that complemented my existing interior and resembled wood. Canyon did an excellent job during the installation, closely matching the original stain and trim. As with most jobs, there can be challenges and unexpected issues that arise during the process. Canyon handled them seamlessly with their creative thinking, techniques, and skill. They also did a great job wrapping my open stairway risers with carpet. I would highly recommend Canyon for flooring and carpet work.
