I wanted a spare key for my new (used) Kia Optima, so I ordered a key from the local dealership. Twice. Both times the key did not work and looked obviously different from the key I had that did work. I needed someone who could make me an actual copy of my working key and I called at least 7 local places in South Bend and no one could do it for me. I called All American Locksmith and he said that he could make me a key. It ended up being a few months later when I needed to go to Michigan City for other reasons. When I got into town, I called, and he met me at my destination 10 minutes later. On a Saturday. Another 5 minutes and I had a fully functional spare car key that was roughly half the price of the dealership's (useless) key. It couldn't have been any more convenient and I was super happy. read more

No matter what others have said, I must disagree. This gentleman gave me prompt service at a very reasonable price. I was unable to be with the vehicle so we handled all of the details over the phone. The job was done in less than two hours from the time I made the call. I would call him in a heartbeat if I needed locksmith serves again. My front door was stuck shut by a frozen deadbolt on a Friday afternoon. I tried to fix it myself, but I was unsuccessful. When I called All American, he said that he could get there in about an hour or so. He did show up in about an hour, diagnosed the problem, replaced the locking mechanism, and charged me a very reasonable amount. He is very busy (he received several calls while working on my door), but he knows his stuff and I would definitely use him again. read more

I called somewhat desperate this morning and I was thrilled with such a fast response. I called just after 8 am and by 10 am my lock was opened! He headed to my house as soon as I called and worked with me being out of town and paying over the phone so that someone else could access the house that we misplaced the key for. If I could give negative stars I would. Keith came out to cut and program two keys for my '06 Honda Civic Hybrid. The car was locked and he had to 'jimmy' it open. After opening it he cut and programmed two keys. The first key he tried in the ignition with success and then in the outside door lock with success. After this he cut and programmed the second key. Tried it in the ignition with success and then the door lock. To the untrained eye he looked like he was having a difficult time and began punching the key into the door. The man is 500 lbs. so there was a lot of force on that key. He told me he jammed the lock because he hung up one of the tumblers. Long story short the outside door lock would no longer work. It worked with the first key he cut, then broke it trying to jam the second key in. Now he refuses to fix it. I paid $280 for one remote key and a broken door which will cost an additional $200 to fix. I would not recommend him or going to Bozak Honda who subcontracts him. It is also not beneath him to cuss you out and hangup on you. What a great business owner. read more

I had a TERRIBLE experience with this locksmith today. My sister got locked out of her car at a gas station today and I called this locksmith. My brother happened to be driving by the gas station and he suggested she call the local police department. I called and cancelled the locksmith and he started yelling at me that he was already coming and he was going to come anyways. He pulled up and started yelling at me, my sister, and her friend saying someone needed to pay him and compensate him for his time. We didn't have any cash and were quite alarmed by his tone and yelling. My brother got out of the car and calmly asked him what the problem was and why he was yelling. He was using profanity and yelling at all of us to the point where I felt very unsafe and that things were going to get physical. He then parked blocking our cars in and I offered to pay him $10 with a credit card to just get him to leave but he then continued to yell more. He finally left and then a few minutes later parked in the CVS parking lot across the street and was out of his car watching us. I was at the point where we considered towing the car rather than doing business with this man. Be careful before doing business with this man. read more

I called them on Tuesday to set up to rekey for our new home. Scheduling went great, I was quoted $19 a piece for each lock and another $19 for service fee. I was fine with that, had 3 locks that needed to be done. she quoted me $80 for the work plus a 10% discount for having that many. I scheduled them to come out on Wednesday night at 6pm. He called me 3 times between 5 and 5:45 to let me know he was on his way and might be 5 min. late. He showed up at 6:40pm. When he got to the door, he asked for my key, he put it in the lock and turned it, he then when to his van. After, he went in though the garage into the kitchen a few times with this note pad, leaving the door to the outside open, and my going behind him shutting the door. It was freezing outside. He told me instead of rekeying he was just going to change the locks, then hands me the note pad to show me how much it was going to cost. How my bill went from $80 to $260 is outrageous. I asked him how he got that number, he said well new locks cost $36 a piece, the service price is $19 and my service fee is $169 for the work. I told him I wasn't quoted that, and I feel that he was trying to take advantage of me being a woman. I told him to leave and I didn't want his service. He then was trying to get me to pay the service fee of coming out of $20. I said for one you were 40 min. late, you keep leaving my doors open going in and out, and you didn't do anything. He finally got the hint that I wasn't about to give him my card #. He left, and didn't give me my key back. My fiancé after realizing this got in his car and tracked him down. They both showed back up, he said he gave it back, I told him, he hadn't and to check his pocket. He looked around on the ground, went back into the house, leaving the door wide open once more, my fiancé and him came back out with the key in my fiancé hand, I asked where was it? He had it in his pocket. I'm so angry just thinking about the experience. I called a more creditable service and they are coming back out and only charging me $50 for the rekeying of all 3 locks. This company needs to get better employees or contactors. read more
