It is also known as the YMCA of Grass Valley. I am in heaven! Plenty of lanes to swim laps and then another pool that is shallower for kids or possibly disabled individuals. I swam this morning...pool was clean and I had my own lane! They provide kickboards and other stuff for your workout. They have outdoor showers and a brand new locker room with private showers...you can use the lockers to store your stuff or place them on the concrete bench when you are swimming. They also have a changing area and bathrooms. Times vary...and prices too. I swam for 5 bucks today ( 3 bucks if you are a senior). Open year round and pool is heated! You can also walk in the pool if you are not a lap swimmer. Lifeguards are on duty. Totally joining today! Ps. COLLIN at the front desk was helpful.

Another thing about limited time is the LIMITED HOURS that this gym is open. It'd be better if it wasn't open so early but open till later on weekends.

They have plenty of dumbbells from 5 pounders to 120 pounds. Cardio machine of all kinds. Bathrooms and lockers are always very clean as well. The sauna here is awesome as well as the steam room. Roof top basketball court is always available. I've even attended a birthday party here for my nephew and we ran some basketball games and enjoyed the lounge area on the top floor. Can't say enough about this gym. Lots of mirrors to catch every angle of the work I put in. I would highly encourage everyone to sign up for a trial and see what you think of this location yourself. However, after what we experienced with East Bay Volleyball Club, I feel other families deserve to know what they could potentially be walking into before making the commitment. My daughter played on the P1 team under Director/Coach Sarah Talton. We joined because we believed in the environment and values that were presented early in the season -- a program focused on supporting athletes, building confidence, developing skills, and creating positive opportunities for girls in the sport. Unfortunately, our experience throughout the season did not reflect those values. As the season progressed, there were ongoing issues with communication, professionalism, leadership, and the way players were spoken to and treated. There was constant turnover and inconsistency with coaching staff, and at times the girls were left without coaching direction during matches when the coach stepped away from the bench. Families were also promised three practices plus conditioning, yet those expectations were not consistently met. At one point, parents were told the girls "weren't ready" for conditioning, which was difficult to understand considering conditioning is meant to help athletes improve and prepare physically throughout the season. The breaking point for our family came during an end-of-season tournament when the team was forced to forfeit three matches they had already won because players were not properly rostered/cleared to compete. The girls worked hard for those wins after an already difficult season, only to lose them over preventable administrative issues that were completely within the club's control. What made the situation even more disappointing was the lack of accountability afterward. When concerns were brought to Sarah by parents, they were dismissed rather than taken seriously. At the end of the day, the environment we experienced did not align with our family's values when it comes to honesty, accountability, professionalism, and respect for young athletes. Based on our experience, this is not a club I will be returning to.

I personally witnessed players leaving games in tears, and much of that appeared to be tied to the coaching style. There was frequent yelling during games and tournaments, which created a tense and discouraging environment rather than one focused on growth and confidence. I also observed sideline behavior from the coach/director that was difficult to watch, including visible frustration and emotional outbursts. In my opinion, it created an atmosphere that did not feel positive or stable for young athletes. Additionally, decisions made by the coach/director during tournament play resulted in games being forfeited that the team had already won. This was incredibly disappointing for the players, who had worked hard for those wins. There also seemed to be a disconnect between how the coach/director presents the program publicly and what families experience day-to-day. Our experience did not align with what is portrayed online. Over time, most families on the team--including ours--chose to leave because it no longer felt like the right fit. Concerns included limited skill development, inconsistent organization, and communication challenges, which we experienced firsthand. I encourage other parents to ask questions, speak directly with current and former families, and carefully consider whether this program is the right environment for their child.

There was almost 2 rows of missing weights 20-35 lbs I believe and as there were only 4 people using the weights, not sure what to think. For $40 (my fully equipped club charges $25 day pass as does the fully equipped 24 hr fitness nearby I expected a more fully equipped gym. There were a lot of cardio and fitness machines if that's what you are looking for but if you are looking for a free weight fitness program, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I mentioned the broken benches and missing weights to the front desk and he is "going to let the fitness director know" - shouldn't they already know? Anyway spent too much money and didn't really get a decent workout. Just spoke with club ambassador Rocco - he reached out regarding my experience. He explained that I was there during their busy time and they are repairing the benches and will be expanding their free weights areas in the near future.
