We moved from a 4 bedroom house in Federal Way to a 3 bedroom apartment in a Des Moines retirement community. We chose not to move a significant amount of furniture and belongings but we still had a lot to move. We packed everything ourselves so we took responsibility for breakage but only 2 glasses were broken in a box where I did not pack enough newspaper around them. They were scheduled to begin at 8AM on a Thursday and 4 men and the owner of the company showed up right on time. The owner left after checking in and telling me we were in capable hands. Everyone seemed to know each other and they worked like a well oiled machine. I could not believe how much each man carried. Sometimes they would put 6 heavy boxes on a dolly or one man would handle a huge chest of drawers. They worked like demons and took minimal breaks. The truck was loaded by 11:30AM and they were at my new place by 12:30PM and ready to unload. They knew right where to go and what to do but there was some delay because the complex did not initially unlock one of the doors. They had to park the truck outside the building and carry everything through the parking garage, through an interior door and up 4 floors on an elevator. Then they had to carry back the same distance because our apartment was at the end of a hallway. We had a complex bed and set of office furniture that had to be disassembled and reassembled on site and that took some extra time. The work was done by 4:30PM and they billed by the hour for the 4 man crew. The cost was a bit more than originally quoted by that was the nature of the work. Everyone worked hard all day with great efficiency. As we left our old house, the last thing they said to me was to check and make sure we had not forgotten anything and I walked through the house to be sure. In my haste, I overlooked 2 boxes which I later took in my car the next day but more importantly, I overlooked a safe that I could not lift. I called the company 2 days later and explained what happened. they told me they had a crew working in the same retirement complex and sent them over to pick up my safe and stand at no extra charge. I contacted ALL AMERICAN SPIRIT MOVING four weeks before my move from the Seattle metro area to Montana. James Albertson (business owner) came to my home to carefully assess the amount of goods to be moved. The quote was based on the final weight of the load. James over-estimated for the quote, which in my view is better than under-estimating when it comes to having the funds available to pay the bill at the time of delivery. All the way through the quote to loading to delivery and unloading, James and his team were professional and polite in their demeanor, even through the freakishly hot day we loaded, 96 degrees in Kent, WA. The team was willing to help at all times. They were efficient and extremely capable. They wrapped any items that I identified as 'extra care', such as a sofa and antique case. In my case, James and his team were able to deliver my goods two days after loading. It was a whirlwind frenzy of activity, better than I imagined for a quick turn around. James and his team were reliable, trustworthy, capable and remained politely professional throughout the moving experience, which earns 5 stars. read more

After seeing first hand how they drive the company truck around I would be afraid to hire them as movers that operate an even larger vehicle. Someone driving a company vehicle (unsure if it was an employee or the owner) was operating in a very unsafe manner. This truck decided to pass multiple vehicles that were going at least the posted speed limit,however most were going a few miles over the speed limit, but using the CENTER TURN LANE!!!!! This is reckless and completely uncalled for. I wouldn't trust my belongings with a company that operates their regular sized company vehicles (Titan truck) is this way. They put other drivers on the road at risk by doing this. Ridiculous. read more

Outstanding crews, and everything you want in a local moving company. James and his employees are responsive, great at communicating, positive and pleasant. They work quickly and efficiently, take great care to protect both our furniture and the walls, and always ask if there is anything more they can do. They muscled a heavy elliptical trainer machine over mushy uneven ground around our house to a back entrance. They moved several heavy items up narrow stairs from our basement, and a bulky carpet around a tight corner. From our first experience to 2 subsequent jobs, we keep calling them back. My mom recommended James and his team to us to help us move into our first home, and I am so happy we went with her recommendation. James came by a few weeks before to take a look at what we had to move and give us a quote. I want to emphasize how kind and polite James was and how at ease he made this process feel. We also had to reschedule the move multiple times due to closing conflicts with our new home and his wife Martha was quick to respond and very accommodating to our needs. On moving day he arrived with his team of 3 ( I forgot their names) and they were all kind, respectful and quick to get our things packed up and loaded in the truck. We had my kids with us on moving day, which I know can be less than ideal when trying to move quickly and efficiently but James and his team worked around them and also acknowledged any questions they had asked which was something I really appreciated . I got the contact of All American Spirit Moving from my agent, whose client also use them and happy with them. In my moving day, Jonathan and Steve help my move. They are very professional and polite throughout the whole process. Not only were they on time, they were actually 1 hour early (they arrived around 8am instead of 9am.). When I told them that I need to start the move right at the arranged time instead of earlier, they said there was no problem and they will wait without charging me the waiting time. They did honor it and only charge me from 9am on ward in the end. I have items from multiple location in the building and they move all of them smoothly. I under estimated my moving volume, so the moving time is longer than the original estimate. These wonderful guys, especially Jonathan, working non stop from 9am - 5pm. Because of their great job, even my neighbor come ask me for their contact during the process, saying they would like to contact them too for their future move. We had a great experience with these guys. We were a little unsure because they only had one review- but decided to give them a chance and we're glad we did. They showed up a few minutes early and started loading the truck right away. We really didn't have to do anything. They got the job done quickly! And unlike movers we've had in the past, they asked where we wanted things. They were friendly and courteous and efficient. The total cost came out to less than we expected. One important note- I had planned on using my Discover card to pay but couldn't because they don't have a machine to read it. They do an old school carbon copy imprint of the card- so if it doesn't have raised numbers (and the new discover cards do not) they can't take it, so plan accordingly. Yesterday, they moved someone in just down the road and in the course of figuring out how to get to the house, decided to drive across our lawn, leaving tire tracks. When I raised this with James, I was told that this was really the only option for them....huh? These guys were amazing. We had moved everything from our house into two storage lockers (10x20 and 10x25). They brought two trucks and 5 guys, then flew through emptying the lockers into their trucks. They were FAST and CAREFUL. When their hands weren't full hey were running. Then unloaded it into the house quickly, cleanly and efficiently. Everything was right where I would have put it. I could not recommend them more. We used James Albertson and his team for a local move a couple of years ago and it was an easy and incredibly positive experience. So much so that we recommended them to family and friends who were equally amazed. Fast forward two years: This time, we were planning a long- distance move and called James at All American Spirit Moving Company again. We were not disappointed. The long-distance service was as excellent as the local service. James came out and gave us an estimate, then he and Jonathan came out to pack a few heavy glass pieces and some art. The day of the move went smoothly. A shuttle truck had to be used to move our furniture and other belongings to the larger moving van. Jonathan and Craig were there from All American Spirit Movers to help Jeremy and Kelly (the long-haul movers) load our belongings on the shuttle truck, then again on the long-haul truck. Our 23 stairs from the front door to the truck (which were down a steep hill) were maneuvered beautifully. James followed-up with us after the move to assure that we were satisfied. I contacted, James, at All American Spirit Moving in Seattle, after having talked with several other moving company's. I was not impressed with those other company's. James was very professional and friendly. He came to my house to confirm what the 'worst' scenario would be for pricing the move. He was spot on, lower than we thought it would be. On the day of the move 3 workers came and it was amazing to see how fast and efficient they were with their time. Not a moment was wasted! They handled our items with great carefulness and helped put them where I wanted in the new home. Jonathan, was the lead man, and he was so respectful and we knew he had a firm handle on the move. I see him being in a position of administration in the future. He would be asset to any company. The 2 other workers worked well with him.
