The car key went to the company that my insurance sent to pick up the totaled vehicle, but they told me there weren't any other keys with the car key when they picked it up. Foresthill Towing were the only ones who removed that entire key ring from my clip before I arrived to pick up the rest of my keys and whatever I could grab from my vehicle. Being that is was not even a day after the accident when I arrived to pick these things up, I was still pretty foggy and did not notice until a few days after. I have given Foresthill Towing every opportunity to return my keys to me. They suggested that the keys could've "fallen off." IT IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR A KEY TO "FALL OFF " A KEY RING WITHOUT SOME EFFORT TO OPEN UP A KEY RING AND TAKE IT OFF . FYI- no longer need my helix key. My small safe with court documents, socials, and such, had to be destroyed in order to get the items I have needed for over a month now. I told them they probably shouldn't be removing any keys off key rings if someone is coming to collect their items. Maybe they should wait and do it in front of the owner of the vehicle. Or better yet, ONLY TAKE THE CAR KEY AND NOT THE WHOLE KEY RING WITH OTHER KEYS. Someone there obviously knows what happened to those keys. It's childish to lie about it if you just threw them away.... but since someone is lying about what happened, it makes me think someone has other ideas on using them. That makes me feel unsafe and it also makes me feel like I'm going to get robbed over simple documents that would have no meaning to them.

It was a very hot day, my friend and I were stressed (150 miles from home), and his immediate offer of cold water nearly brought us tears of relief. He expertly maneuvered his tow truck into a tough spot to get the car. I had called a nearby mechanic to receive the tow, but minutes before our arrival at the auto shop Fazl mentioned that my insurance would cover a tow all the way home to SF. He pulled over while I decided what to do, and when I told him that I would indeed like a tow to SF he offered to give me and my friend time for a meal in town before leaving (we hadn't eaten all day).
