This place was very cool! Popped in for a late lunch after checking in to our hotel and got drinks and an appetizer. Food was great and the atmosphere was very cozy and lively. You mostly order thru the app or you can go to the bartenders, but service was pretty quick while we were there. Wish we had more spots like this in the states. read more

Wow, Tapas Tuesday was great! 4 small plates of your choosing and a bottle of house wine for $26. The fried mushrooms were delicious, the hummus was great, and the duck gyoza and prawns were good too. We also ordered the pad thai which I don't recommend; it didn't have a single noodle, seriously not one. It was overcooked chicken and veggies (the veggies were good though). Onion rings were great, the classic cheeseburger was tasty as well. You order at the bar or using their online app, so very little customer service. I hate ordering dine-in via apps so I ordered at the bar, and the bartenders were friendly and helpful. It's a lively vibe, the food was good, and overall we had a very pleasant experience. read more

HORRIBLE service. This week, a Small short skinny Blonde bartender has no personality or manners. We received no greeting or acknowledgement upon entry. Had to ask her what we should do to eat in? All she says is "sit wherever" She was very smug and unfriendly. Did not explain any process to us. We sat ourselves down and she never came to take our order. About 15 minutes. There was literally two or three other patrons at the moment. So not busy at all. We got up to leave and she watched us said absolutely nothing! Terrible business and human being. Deserves -0 stars. I would give this restaurant zero stars, since we left before having anything to eat or drink, but I'm not able to. This is basically a restaurant for "takeaway" (or "carry out" as we call it in the U.S.) The food and drinks on offer looked fine, but it is self serve all the way. Nobody greeted us, nobody seated us, nobody offered us a menu or took our order. There was a QR code and you were to order from your phone. Presumably somebody would eventually bring the food and drink, but we had no sense that anyone would based on lack of any interaction at all. And since this was basically just a table and 4 chairs where you would eat the food you ordered for delivery, it would have been nice if the tables had been clean and attractive. Not sure what this restaurant is offering - but it's not customer service nor a nice table to eat a food delivery. read more

Stumbled in here when we couldn't find a spot to even stand at Gordon's. Overall a decent establishment, at least for Happy Hour purposes are concerned. I will say that the both the Bartender andFood Runner we interacted with were less than friendly. Every time we went up to the bar to get a drink the Bartender acted like we were inconveniencing him to make us a couple cocktails. We were having Campari Spritz's it's not like we were asking him to make some fancy martini with 10 different ingredients! And the Food Runner acted like it was a chore to get us plates & silverware for our appetizer/small plate we ordered. Sorry pal, this lady has gotta have something to eat with! So if you can get past the unpleasant staff (or be lucky enough to get a good bartender or two) this place isn't bad at all. Especially when Gordon's is overflowing with people. read more

I wish I could give a better review, but the good news is that the food and drinks were very good, and the staff was very accommodating and more than willing to make any, and I mean any small, issue right. What I cannot give a positive review to is the system used for ordering. You place your order using a QR code to access an online ordering system which declined two working but albeit "foreign" travel cards that processed payments minutes later at a vendor just down the street. Therefore we had to use our traditional bank card and incur International Fees. This was compounded by the fact that the system did not seem to relay information to the tills and ticketing system for food and drinks to be made causing a long delay between ordering and receiving, in particular drinks and desserts suffered the worst delays. So I suppose you could say that all the negativity I have to report is related to the ordering and payment system. Once again I would like to emphasize that the staff was absolutely phenomenal and the food was good. A final nit-pick... the music was WAY too loud for our tastes, but it's Leicester Square/Piccadilly Circus on a Friday night. If we wanted quiet we should have ordered Room Service/Take Away. read more

Their "Pad Thai" was NOT Pad Thai. It was a glass noodle dish with hardly any noodles & far too many bell peppers with 0 flavor. Where's that "pad thai" sauce they said was in it?! You can't call something Pad Thai & serve us glass noodles, that's just false advertisement. England, how would you feel if I had a restaurant that served Shepherd's pie, but actually served you Bangers & Mash instead?! Yeah, you'd be bloody outraged wouldn't you? It's effin' bullocks, is what it is. The portobello burger with halloumi was pretty good though. Perhaps their burgers are their speciality & ours was vegetarian. The sauce they served us with the fries was a sweet tangy salsa like thing. The ketchup they gave us was pretty good though. Coleslaw was gross. Environment: This place has a nice atmosphere. I especially liked that it was quiet enough for conversation Good selection of Brewskies including my selection of a fine London Ale served in 0.5L glasses. Small Gripe: I guess in London they charge for everything including items that make you thirsty to drink more. Every thimble-size serving of peanuts and salty snacks was a charge. Small serving of Potato Chips was a charge. Overall, I recommend as a place to meet colleagues or friends for conversation. Okay...it doesn't have the atmosphere of Gordon's wine bar across the road...but this is still a pretty good place to meet friends (especially if you're heading to the fantastic comedy boat around the corner!) The pub food isn't bad; the bangers and mash was comfort-food-heaven. The mash had yummy veggies hidden within it, and had three huge sausages piled on the top. The gravy was thick and a bit like the way my mum makes it. Yay! You can often find empty tables upstairs, with waiter service. I called in the afternoon to reserve a table in the evening...easy-peasy. They lost stars because the mulled wine was only lukewarm, and the service was so slow. read more

Our waitress was seriously the best and recommended amazing dishes for us without pushing us to order more than we needed.The restaurant was huge and was able to fit all of us (6 people) on last minute notice. Whether it's hanging out with friends or having an intimate dinner with a significant other, All Bar One is one of my go to places as it never fails to disappoint. They have good food, good wine, and good service. This particular location is spacious; lots of seating and good for large groups. I tried their Tapas Tuesday deal: £20 for 4 sharing plates and a bottle of wine. Their Sea-bass Crevice is a classic. Besides tracking down a server to take our order, my boyfriend and I had a fantastic time there. Our server was very nice. We put in an extra £5 for a nicer bottle of wine. read more

This is one of the newer All Bar One outlets, and like all the others (there are over 50 in the UK now) it is clad in their handsome, female friendly franchise uniform which looks more wine bar than pub. Formerly Bar Ha Ha, this place became an All Bar One earlier this year and I love it! It's a great to place to meet up with friends, and due to it's close proximatey to Charing Cross and Embankment stations it's so convenient. It's has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a table service upstairs for drinks which is ideal on a Friday night when the bar downstairs is 3 deep. The small plates are great for sharing with friends just ordered a few for the table and everyone digs in; they're very tasty too with plenty to choose from including baked camembert, chicken quesadilla, tiger prawns and stuffed peppers. It does get busy on Friday evenings, but if you can beat the rest of the after work crowd there and grab a table you're laughing! read more

Came across this gem while walking after going on the London Eye. The place is Huge but doesn't seem that way from outside. It is very clean and modern looking inside. We both had burgers, my husband the Spanish burger and I had the wagyu burger and both were amazing! My husband asked for a side salad instead of fries and they brought fries by mistake. When we mentioned it they immediately brought him a side salad and apologized. If you do not like your burgers well done be sure to say it b/c their standard is well done if you say nothing. I requested medium well and it was perfect! The sweet potatoes fries were also so yummy. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. If in London again I would return. read more

We were staying right around the corner at the Amba Hotel. They had a very wide range of beers and food. We had a great time and visited this location a couple of times. We all had a great time there. I would recommend it after walking around and touring London. A perfect way to end the afternoon before dinner for a few drinks and some food. read more

If you live in London, you may be aware that All Bar One doesn't serve food until close. But visitors don't know that. We headed to the restaurant post-theatre, only to find out that it had turned into a loud, drinks-only hangout--complete with bouncer. Who was nice enough to point us to a (so-so) Mexican place up the street. It's not like All Bar One would ever be our first choice for food -- but post-theatre it seemed a reasonable destination. We won't make that mistake again. read more
