I highly recommend this company. Yesterday I purchased a Miele vacuum from Richards Vacuum Center since my 18 year old Miele died on me. I was at the store 1 1/2 weeks ago and asked if the Miele vacuum I was interested in ever goes on sale. I have purchased 2 central vacuum systems from Richards vacuum center for 2 homes. The oldest (1998) is still working fine and has never had an issue. The newest one has a few more extras that make it more convenient but also does the same job. I have been back for bags and attachments. The staff is always very helpful. My central vac wasn't working I called and Rick came out in just a few hours. He arrived when he said he would, I needed to replace my 12 yr old system and Rick installed a new Simplicity system. He had the new system with him, he installed it , checked the pressure on all the connections inside the house and he cleaned up all the dust from the old system. "Rick" came to our house and took a central vacuum which was either manufactured or installed incorrectly ten years ago( not by Richard's Vacuum Center). He took the unit into his shop and repaired and cleaned it like new, fixing the error in construction/installation in just a few days. After reinstalling it he put 4 new fluorescent bulbs that my wife and I had been struggling with. I've been a customer for over 10 years. Purchased a Simplicity vacuum which is still running strong today. Richard's does all the service every few years and are extremely knowledgeable. I was tired of purchasing a vacuum every 3 years. It's true you pay a little more upfront but you'll have it for a much longer time. I would highly recommend visiting their shop. I just rented their carpet cleaner machine starting at $20 and it cleaned my carpets far better than the rug doctor machines you rent at Lowes. Family owned and just really nice people. We took our brand new Dyson to Richard after having a problem with it. He indicated it needed a new part and he would order it (under warranty) He said he it would take about a week or so and yet everytime we called we received a different story. First it was that he waited to order the part for when he had other parts to order then it was backordered. This went on for 2 months and we just gave up and got the vacuum cleaner. We called Dyson a few days later and ordered the part which was in stock and got it in a week. I would never recommend this business nor will we take our vacuum there again. read more

I love Penny and all the people there! Very nice and considerate and have given me excellent advice regarding vacuums. Penny knows her stuff! I have a Kirby that the repaired for my house. Bought a Simplicity shoulder vacuum that is so cool for everything above the floor. It has all the fine tools and has wonderful filters to boot. All I can say is "WOW". As a person involved with customer service, I felt the need to comment on theirs. Every single person I've ever spoken to there is not just professional and courteous, but downright NICE! I actually WANT to give them my money! :) I prefer to shop local, but find myself ordering online more and more lately, because I've been let down so much in the Daytona area. Their repair guy...damnit, I can't think of his name right now, is honest and really takes the time to talk about options, not in a big rush to get off the phone, and thinks creatively. Penny, in the front of the house, was genuine in her concern that I get the right vacuum and accessories to suit my needs, and made it easy for me to afford. I have a cleaning business and have plenty of ideas about what I need in a vacuum. She did not push the most expensive machines, she realized I needed more of a workhorse. I purchased a simplicity brand small shoulder vac and an accessory, and am pleased with it still, about a month later of almost daily use.
