If you want your dog left unattended all day and to be attacked by other dogs, this is the place to go (happened several times). They have no care or concern for any of the dogs at their daycare. As for their grooming, if you want your dogs nails to be cut so short they are bleeding at pickup, they are also for you. Lastly, they nickel and dime you for everything. We had such a wonderful experience with grooming at ABC. Our 15 year old pup Gracie can't stand for long and has always disliked grooming but they were kind and patient and she got a great cut. In CT for a vacation and desperately needed my two dogs nails trimmed. ABC was able to fit me in and it was such a wonderful, quick process! They were taken immediately and brought back with perfectly trimmed nails. I also super appreciate them not forcing grooming on the dogs. I think I did this backwards. Pics went up first - they are not the best because she wasn't playing ball. I was very happy with the grooming job for my Newfoundland done at ABC! This was the first time I had her professionally groomed and I was a little nervous about it. The groomer came out and knew her name and Rosie took to her immediately. Her coat was absolutely beautiful and she was happy when she was all done. Newfoundlands have very dense coats, especially during this time of the year, so bathing and drying is no easy task. This review is for the grooming services offered. Let's start with the fact that when you show up, there is rarely if ever someone in the office, yet you are not allowed to go through the gate that's marked "grooming" to let the groomer know you have arrived. This results in needing to walk to the side of the building and either yell for a staff member who's in the back or up on the lookout porch area. There should be a bell or buzzer to ring for the grooming office specifically. Both times I had to wait over 15 minutes to get someone from the back to notice we were there and call the groomer to let her know to come out and get our dog. Now for the actual grooming/bathing review. We have their groomer two chances and both times were severely disappointed. Not only are her rates higher than most but she does not properly double wash our golden to get him sufficiently clean and her grooming skills themselves are very lacking. Our second visit was the worst, she was rude upon coming out to get him, explained that she was very busy and needed to hurry back, but also seemed very annoyed with our presence. When I asked her if she had any suggestions for his excessive recent shedding she suggested a de-shedding conditioner but then stated "It probably won't do anything though." No other comments. Why suggest it then? When picking him up I noticed all the areas I had asked her to focus on looked mildly brushed out but not at all groomed. His belly hair was cut at a steep angle, looking like something my young child did with scissors. Ear hair was not cut at all, feet were slightly trimmed but no where near professionally groomed. I knew immediately after receiving a call that he was ready in less than an hour and a half that it was going to be bad. I honestly don't think she knows what she's doing or should be considered a professional groomer at all. We will never be returning and hopefully this review gets to the owners to recognize the issues they have in this department. read more

Was in CT for the summer and got a puppy while here! ABC is so amazing! Becky and her staff do such a wonderful job with the dogs. They offer several different training classes, daycare, and grooming services. My pup loves ABC! and he comes home exhausted and tired after daycare, which is nice for me :) As soon as we pull up, he becomes super excited. I had to take a week long trip recently and I was worried about leaving him at a kennel. Luckily, the workers at ABC are also pet sitters with their own dogs, which was perfect. I didn't want to leave my dog at a kennel and have to worry about if he was getting enough love and attention, as well if he would get sick. They also post pics and videos on their FB page throughout the day so you can check up on your dog :) read more
