I have been a customer of this business for years bringing one of my Shelties every 3 weeks for a puppy bath for her skin issues. I also brought my other Sheltie for a full groom every quarter. I called today to book a puppy bath for the Sheltie with skin issues and was told the price would not be the $31.91 that I had been paying for years but would be now $50.00. Of course with no warning, and no prior communication of this price change, I was shocked. The owner was unyielding and did not care at all about my feeling and hung up the phone on me. I find this type of behavior to be objectionable especially toward a long term client. I cannot recommend this business to others. read more

Wonderful. The most important aspect of a groom, to me, is that my dog feels comfortable, and they always deliver that here. One groomer washes, drys, and cuts your dog from start to finish with care and they call you with updates or to let you know they're almost done. When I've picked him up from other groomers in the past he has seemed really nervous and distressed but here he greets me with plain excitement looking and smelling fresh! The owner gives a great consult so you're on the same page with the haircut and the lovely new gentlemen on staff groomed him perfectly! Thanks again!! read more

I brought my dog here recently for the first time but did not have a positive experience. I booked what their website describes as the "Bath&Trim- Bath, ears, nails, glands, trim around the potty area, feet & face." When I arrived for her appointment, I read this directly to the staff member/groomer from their website, and she confirmed that my appointment included all as mentioned. We agreed my dog did not need her facial hair trimmed, but I specifically pointed out the overgrown fur on her paw pads to be done and asked if "feet" included that, and she said it did. She said the package was $59, and it was cash or check only -- which would have been useful to know when I booked the appointment. It was a stressful ordeal to get cash from the bank before they closed. The groomer also informed me at that time that although my appt was for noon, it would be 2-3 hours before they would call me to pick her up. (It took 2 hours 45 mins.) When I picked up my pup, the fur on her feet area had not been trimmed at all. Instead, inexplicably, her entire stomach area had been trimmed back (no where near her groin), which was clearly not part of the package. Her toenails had been haphazardly chopped and left jagged, so I had to use a metal nail file to smooth them out when we got home. They also did not trim her right or left dew claws at all. Also, the following day, it became clear that the shop had not expressed her anal glands as advertised, as she leaked from them. (We've been having an issue lately in which her glands are not expressing with her bowel movements, so every two weeks we've had to bring her to the vet to have them manually expressed. We're trying to figure out if it's caused by a food allergy issue. This visit at the groomer was on day 10 since her last vet expression. If the groomer had expressed her glands, she would not have had another episode for at least an additional 10-14 days because it would have taken some time for her glands to fill up again.) Finally, when I picked up my pup, she didn't really seem herself. Almost like she was high, like she had been given something? Perhaps? Normally she hates if I do anything to her toes at all, but when I filed them at home afterward, she just stayed there in a daze. She proceeded to snub me for a whole day. I don't know what she experienced at this shop, but she was not happy, and that's not really normal for her. She's a very sociable, upbeat dog normally. All told, I paid $59, plus $10 tip, for a package that was supposed to include six services, but that in actuality only included 3.5 (half for the jagged toes). I tipped on the spot out of anxiety & self-consciousness. I do have regrets. I gave 2 stars because the bath & dry was well done, and the staff were friendly and polite to me during drop off and pick up. However, I would not return to this groomer or recommend their services. read more

We took our long hair dog in. You have to tell them what to do and what NOT to do... The dog went in with fluted paws. No more... Long hair trailing under the body - gone... I should have done it myself... We had an appointment for 1pm. The dog was not taken until around 3pm... We were told to CALL to see if the dog was ready. No one answered the phone, despite repeated trys. Reason we were told - didn't want to leave the dogs. So then call the CUSTOMER when ready!!! We DID get a text msg @416pm... Absolutely adorable place. And, the owners and staff are exactly the types of professionals I want to do business with. The shop in the front is tiny, and has the appeal of Vermont County Store. Cool thingy things, cute statues and figurines, just homey. Our dog has horrific separation anxiety (he's a rescue, and believe me, we need all the kindness we can get). Jennifer took him back, and minutes layer had clipped his nails perfectly... When she came out with him, in her arms, A HUGE Golden had just come in...I said "Our pup is afraid of large dogs". Jennifer not only kept him in her arms, but also covered his face. He never knew that he would be DOOMED!!!! Liz and Rebecca clearly care deeply for the animals, and are lovely to talk with. Frankly, I decided to go there because of Liz's chat with me. Here's the biggest issue: It actually smells GREAT in there!!! It. Smells. Great. Which I'm pretty sure is because it's clean as all get out, and that takes a LOT of work. I can't say enough. I recommend this shop to ANYONE who has a pup who needs some tlc. DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS. THEY TRAUMATIZE ANIMALS. Finally getting around to writing this review. I've dropped my Great Pyrenees off here four times. Last time was six months ago in May, before I moved down south (military). I got a call at the end of the grooming saying they tried to hold him down to clip his nails and he started growling so I needed to come pick him up. I did immediately. Come to find out, due to this grooming, he no longer allows anyone to cut his nails nor touch his nails at all. So thanks a lot for that. If an animal doesn't let you do it, do not force them down. It only makes it worse. ADDITIONALLY, I've contacted you guys multiple times in May & June about the seresto collar you removed, and never put back on nor handed back to me. Not only did I have to pay $110 for the half-ass / terrible trauma service for my big boy, but also set me back $60+ for the flea and tick collar that was brand new that's had to purchase again on my road trip / move. They had to have known that it was new by looking at how the collar isn't broken in yet. Six months later I'm finally getting to this review because I will never forget or forgive what they did to my poor dog. Let alone how they never solved the collar issue. I got the grooming done two days before moving south. I noticed it wasn't on when I was multiple states away on the second day. I called and left many voicemails and stated my situation & they said all they could do is have me come pick it up. (By that time I was in Maryland heading to Texas). So I believe they have customers pay in cash so they cannot easily refund them. Makes sense. I truly hope those that hold down animals never touch any other animals ever again. Not acceptable. These guys helped us out of a tight spot when the business next to them was randomly closed and our dogs were in desperate need of a bath. Our entire experience was welcoming and they fit in our three dogs on the spot. Every single woman we dealt with were nice and sweet to our nervous little ones. They would have done full grooming on them if we'd asked, which I found extremely accommodating. I went back to these groomers although my first experience with the actual grooming part was not the best. I went to have my dogs nailed trimmed and they were just as friendly as ever, and they even cleaned up around her face without me asking! I will keep going to them for nail trims and possibly full grooming (I usually do my dogs grooming myself - except for the nails) read more
