We are delighted with Andrew's performance painting a 17-foot-tall ceiling and foyer in our home…read more Even when we encountered a few unexpected things, Andrew rolled with it. He was very accommodating of my preferences and super easy to work with. It can be stressful to have someone working in your home, but Andrew was easy to have around and respectful of our space. You can tell he truly cared about the quality of his paint job and the satisfaction of his customers. I'll admit I can be a little fussy about paint. I'm very happy with Andrew's work! He even explained why he liked certain products and their performance. We found his rates to be competitive, as well. Here's the real proof: We are planning on having him come back to paint another large room for us. I actually found him soliciting a job here on Yelp. He was very responsive through the entire communication process, and never left me hanging or wondering what was happening, from first contact to when he was arriving. You don't always get that, and it's important. His estimate was clear and professional. This is his own business and there is a definite pride of ownership, and customer care that comes with that. Overall, this was a definitely deserved 5-star experience. Highly recommend!

Absolute Disaster!!!…read more I hired this person for hardwood floor grinding and refinishing. Pictures tell the story. If you are looking for someone to turn a simple job into an electrical adventure, leave a mess behind, and create new problems you didn't have before -- this may be the person for you. On top of the poor workmanship, he was extremely rude and disrespectful. He attempted to connect his machine directly to a live electrical line, which resulted in damage to the electrical panel and an expensive oven showing a "Bad Line" error. Apparently, quality control and safety procedures were optional. Blamed the panel. The job was left with trash scattered around, and somehow the priority became demanding payment before the work was completed. Asked for additional $150 to "dispose" of the trash that he left behind. To add to the experience, machines were left sitting on carpet, creating another potential mess. We ended up contacting the local police. A reminder for anyone considering hiring him: do not release payment until you have personally inspected every detail of the work. Before making the deal demand full clean-up and disposal of trash. Take before pictures. Check your appliances, check your electrical system, and check that your property is actually left in better condition than when he arrived. Unfortunately, the experience was not the kind anyone wants.

Then Nathan reached out and provided a quote that was slightly higher than the one I had chosen, but his estimate stood out for its professionalism and detailed breakdown -- including shoe molding removal and replacement of damaged boards. I decided to go with him, and I'm so glad I did. Nathan communicated promptly and understood exactly what we needed. He and his coworker Leeland clearly knew their craft and did a fantastic job. They paid close attention to every detail, working carefully around the corners, closets, and especially the badly worn kitchen area. The floor now looks brand new and will surely impress potential buyers. I highly recommend their work!

The one star rating is only because there is a one star min requirement to post a review. This was…read morethe most ridiculously terrible home repair experience we've ever had in 25 years of home ownership in the Pointes. They were to have multiple workers to clean/repair master bathroom floor and enclosed shower and the Saltillo tile floor in kitchen - they had one worker arrive and they other called in sick - yet somehow miraculously arrived in good health after noon. The bathroom was "ok" but the worker missed cleaning the edge areas of the tile floor. The kitchen is were it gets ridiculous and dangerous. The estimate/contract explicitly states that they were to use "non-toxic cleaners" with steam cleaning in addition with machine washing as needed. These clowns, without consent or announcement, decided to use Muriatic (Hydrochloric) acid on our kitchen floor with my wife, our dog, our son and I all in the home closed up tight on a 30 deg day in December with a natural gas forced air furnace running the whole time. The fumes took our breath away after only a few seconds and also scorched our kitchen tile floor. Yet the lead worker was wearing a double canister face respirator. When I questioned him about the fumes, he only said through his respirator "you might want to not breathe this stuff in". They did not instruct us to open any doors prior or during the application of this Hydrochloric acid and had no regard for our safety, yet took very serious precautions for their own. They offered no apology and only maintained in a highly defensive attitude that it was part of their normal cleaning process, which according to the Sir Grout site and the contract/work order is 100% contrary to the truth. They stood in my kitchen with a mask on and lied to me about what I could plainly see with my own eyes. I have yet to receive a phone call from the area franchise owner that I was told I would by the lead worker. I would say this company is a joke if the consequences of their actions weren't so seriously dangerous. DO NOT USE this company for anything in your home.

TLDR: They are expensive and careless. This is a really…read moremixed review. They came within an hour of the appointment time, and were very pleasant. The work they did on the grout was good. They were sloppy toward the ends of two very long days, but overall the grout was good. Unfortunately, the material they us to clean the grout caused the finish on my bathtub to bubble up and peel away. They agreed to give me $200 toward a similar (low quality) treatment, but said that one of the men that worked on on my grout would do a higher quality finish for $500 (a value of $800 to $1200). He came and worked really hard, but the result was full of bubbles, and was peeling off in under two days. It took over a week to get a return date scheduled, and by then I realized I had realized I couldn't let them do more work on it. I hired another company to fix the tub, but the whole thing has taken over a month to resolve and was unnecessary from the beginning. The owner called me once to explain why it wasn't their fault, but that he would try to help me get my money back from his employee. He has not returned my follow-up call. The employee did, however, give the money back.

Todd's knowledge of wood and how it will take the stain, the color and variations of color is remarkable and he took time to educate us on this. Our floors are absolutely beautiful! If I could give even more stars, I would! I'll get right to the point:…read more We have an older house downriver with original Oak floors. The floors were in dire need of a "facelift" to say the least. There were areas where the floor was peeling up, discoloration, dullness, gaps...and the worst, an area in a closet that was stained due to a cat that had an accident. I did not have high hopes that these could be restored. I got in touch with Conti floors, and a few things impressed me right away: 1.) Todd was prompt, courteous, and professional in his communication. I was super impressed by his customer service. I was never made to feel "dumb" when asking many, many questions about the process. He took the time on the phone with me to go over everything and address all concerns. Additionally, once we set a date, he did an excellent job of staying in touch about the upcoming project. He confirmed times/availability on a few different occasions. 2.) Honesty and Trustworthiness: Conti Floors was very upfront about pricing and provided a thorough estimate. I never felt he was being shady or that I was being overcharged. Again, all questions were openly answered about pricing and cost. 3.) Professionalism of the crew: Todd and his crew arrived prompt the day of the job. The crew was professional in appearance (not that I really care what people wear when working/getting dirty, but I was impressed). They were friendly, polite, and got right down to business. Again, excellent communication about the process, instructions, and next steps. 4.) Follow up: This one really blew me away! After the job was complete/dried/etc., Todd personally reached out to see if we had any areas of concern, etc. We had one very small gap which he fixed, and all was good! I'm very impressed that someone would go the extra mile to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the job. I have recommended Conti Floors to any friends, family, and coworkers that are interested in getting their floors done. I'm extremely happy with the results. Our newly refinished floors completely have changed the appearance of our home. Our son can safely play on them now. They are easy to clean and maintain. This was hands down the best money we've spent on our home yet! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, CONTI FLOORS!
