Total crooks. Zero stars. This happened several years ago but every time I pass one of their trucks I think I should write a review so people know who they're dealing with. Our AC went out during a heat wave. Our usual hvac service was inundated with calls with the 100 degree days and it was going to be a couple days before they got to us but I made an appt anyway and then started calling other companies to see if anyone could come sooner. All comfort came right away and said the unit was shot and needed to be replaced and they could do it the next day, just needed a large deposit, which I gave him. When I called our usual service to cancel the appt they informed me that our unit was still under warranty! and the "problem" with the unit all comfort described didn't make any sense. I realized we were being scammed and canceled the install and when our regular service guys got to look at the unit they found that the all comfort tech had stolen parts from the unit, probably to make sure it didn't start up again bc the actual problem with it was a really easy fix. Husband was out of town at the time so this guy probably figured I was an easy mark. Stay away! read more

When I needed a microwave external vent installed after the hurricane, I chose this company because it was recommended on my Nextdoor app. None of the kitchen work could progress (tilework) until the microwave was installed, & the installer said an HVAC person had to do the vent. I was charged $500 (a lot more than the cost of the microwave!) for this and a maintenances clanging of my system. I had already agreed to the installation, so I paid. I think it was excessive. This company installed a new HVAC unit for us in 2019. That installation was a very poor experience and we have not used them since. Fast forward to this year when we, like many others at the beach, had condensation issues. We had another company come out to repair and what they found was a very poor installation job for our air handler and duct work in the attic space. All Comfort had not set the air handler inside the emergency pan, the unit was not level, the PVC piping used was not sealed properly and the duct work was not installed correctly with the correct insulation wrapping. I would caution anyone from using this company. They are very unprofessional and do not provide quality work. read more

All Comfort might do great work , never really got that far with them. I'm not interested in ruining someone's reputation or career, I believe people will do that to them selves . I had Comfort come to check my AC due to some issues which required me shutting it down to prevent further damage. After completing diagnosis their tech Adam left the property and left my unit running for 5-6 hrs. I contacted the office (Amanda) to express my concern. Long story short, Adam denied he left it on. According to Amanda he made a video of him pulling the disconnect . This would be virtually impossible since I have a photo dated and timed stamped hours before his so called video. You be the judge. So sad that someone lives in such fear that they can't be truthful. I could care less about making mistakes or error in judgment , it's all about how you handle it afterwards . UPDATE: I had a very lengthy call with the service manager. On the call, he explained that the units found on Amazon are not American Standard. American Standard is a higher performing unit; as such, it is not $3,700. Additionally, he said that American Standard would never be sold online. He was very nice and explained the values of the company. In my previous post, I mentioned that I had good service from them previously related to attempting to figure out what the issue was. The information they had provided was incomplete but they were very friendly. Originally I gave them a 1 star. I was asked to re-evaluate that based on the "total experience". So, I have moved it to a 3 star for the following reasons: Service Calls: First Service: the information provided was not complete...I would have given them a 60% for that call. Second Service: they were very friendly but really limited our options for moving forward, turning our unit off immediately due to a crack and a "presumed" leak; however, their quote was a "package" rate with little explanation. I would have given them a 90% for friendliness but a 25% for how they handled the quote. Quote Call for Explanation: I asked for a breakout of parts and service and was told, "we don't do that". That said, on our final call, he reaffirmed it is not their practice to separate labor and parts. So, there remains no way of knowing whether I'm paying the service person $50/hour or $200/hour. For that reason, I will not use this company. Consumers should always have clarity on what they are paying for what. _____________________ These guys are playing 3 card monty - but to some degree worse than RJS (Don't use them either). We have used them several times for service calls. To this point, we were very happy with them. However, when I wanted to know "exactly" what I was quoted, the manager literally would not help a repeat customer. I asked for the quote they provided split between labor and parts and was told they would not give me that. Essentially, they quoted me $8,700 to replace our HVAC unit. The unit they quoted is available online for $3,700 - ON AMAZON!!! The half day of labor would then be over $4,000....So, I asked for the split cost to confirm what they had told me and they would not provide it. They just did something for me that blew me away; they assisted me in preventing a very expensive crawl space project from needing to be done by suggesting alternatives that will save me thousands! I had contracted All Comfort NC to check on a heat pump. The result was that heat pump failed. So, a new heat pump and air-handler was required. All Comfort sent one guy - Tye - to do the installation. They sent the right guy. Tye was a force to be reckoned with. He showed up exactly on time, but alone. This installation requires two men, normally. Normally it's a four hour job for the aforementioned two men. Tye did the installation, alone, in five hours. He worked steadily, quietly, without a break. The man removed the old equipment, installed the new equipment, operationally checked the new installation, and left no mess, at all. The master electrician came in after Tye had left to double check the electrical connections, and indicated Tye had done a masterful job. If you live in downeast Carolina, I highly recommend All Comfort NC, and if you're lucky enough to have Tye show up as your installer, you're in the best hands. read more

As someone who lives 5000 miles away from my house I've been super happy with this company. After a bad experience elsewhere we chose All Comfort who suggested a new unit. (After explaining all our options). They've come back to make some adjustments and the experience has been wonderful. Oh my goodness! I am so happy! I called this morning because I screwed up my HVAC system trying to install a new ecobee and I had no idea what I was dealing with. I thought I had narrowed down the problem to a part that costs $800. Robert walked through my door and within five minutes told me that I had just blown a fuse and there would be no need to replace the zone control board. Even further, I can't believe I got service within two hours of my call on a weekday. He was courteous, kind, and knowledgeable. read more

BEWARE!!!! DO NOT HIRE!!! THEY STEAL!!! I used this company and Dean came out. He banged around and acted like he knew what he was doing. Claimed i had a fan motor issue then took $200 from me to do the job later. I called another specialist and he diagnosed the issue properly and fixed it for much less. I called Dean to get my money back and till today i have not received it. I have heard every story in the book about why he cant give me back my money. Got a new replacement package unit for my downstairs zone. The owner came to my house for the estimate and did a thorough inspection. I was interested in converting my system to a split unit system in order to save space in my yard (I live downtown and have a small yard) but was informed that the split systems require nearly as much outdoor area as a package unit and would save me quite a bit of money. None of the three bidders I had prior had informed me of this, and All Comfort certainly did not have to save me money by telling me this. I highly value honesty and for that reason chose their bid. The installation was quick (took less than a day) and professional. I received a call first thing in the morning with the installation schedule (weather was a potential issue that day) and got a follow up call prior to arrival.The finished product looks flawless and I was given a brief tour of the system. We enjoyed talking with the owner and employees and would highly recommend All Comfort as a reasonably priced, customer-centered installer. I have a separate system for the second floor that I will need replaced soon and am already planning on using All Comfort for this work. read more

I have an annual contract with All Comfort Heating & Cooling to routinely inspect and service my heat pump and ac system twice a year. This way I know my heating & cooling system is operating at peak efficiency. Should there be a problem with my heating & cooling system, the technician explains the problem and tells me the cost to repair the system. Being under the annual contract, should my heating & cooling system need replacement parts, I get a discount. The costs quoted are fair and reasonable in my judgment. I paid Allen $6000.00 to put in an American Standard unit 3 years ago. The unit stopped working correctly yet gave no indication. Now he wants me to pay $1200.00 in repair fees (just for service - the parts are under warranty). On top of that I have electric bills in the hundreds because the unit was not operating correctly. Being a customer for several years I have noticed a serious degrade in quality of customer service. The time window that a tech is scheduled to be at your house is defiantly an estimate. Recently I was given a time for the tech to arrive for a service call. I received a phone call 20 min prior to the scheduled time and was informed that the tech is about 15 -20 out from arriving. This was appreciated due to the fact I had to take time off and left work to meet the tech. At first it seemed to be very professional. Less than 2 minutes later I get a phone call from the office informing that the tech was already at my house and wanted to know when I would be at the house. I informed them I was about 5 minutes away and my son would be able to let them in. The individual on the phone stated that would not be an issue and understood the tech was early. Shortly after hanging up I received another call stating that the tech was not going to be able to wait and was leaving the property. Needless to say I was a little confused after having talked to the main office 3 times just prior and it wasn't even within the scheduled time for the tech to arrive. The attitude from the individual on the phone was totally unprofessional and seemed to have no respect or curtsy towards the customer. I'm not sure if the management has changed but this was a horrible experience. -------------------------------------------------- Totally inaccurate comment from the company!!! Bottom line is they didn't make the time THEY said. A tech was going to be at the house and the tech directed me to contact the company to reschedule. After asking the scheduling person why the tech couldn't wait 5 mins for the time that they provided with some policy that sounded like it was made on spot with a total attitude. I don't set the schedule but being the customer I would hope they would be able to make the time line they provide. After all they are in the service providing industry. A little customers service goes a long way. read more

I recently had to replace my entire system and all I have to say is these guys are great! Allen, the owner, stopped by to do the estimate. He was thorough, quick, explained everything, and didn't waste any time. He came in thousands less than my first quote and took up a full hour and a half less of my time. After speaking with people I knew who have previously worked in the industry, they all said everything looked great in his quote, so we moved forwards. I had to wait to have the new system installed so they brought me portable ac units to hold us over and those did the trick just fine! On install day, I received a call from James that morning to let me know they were on the way. James and Robert were awesome to work with. They were both very personable, explained everything to me, and were professional with how they handled everything. They left my place looking very clean. You wouldn't even know they were here. This is an amazingly awful company. They installed a new HVAC unit with a 10 year warranty at my home and I never thought it worked quite right although with every annual service they claimed it was fine. Three years later they put a new compressor in it which cost another thousand dollars. Three months later the compressor went out again. They supposedly sent a tech but he was shady (maybe an unemployed relative?). He walked through my entire house uninvited and disappeared for 45 minutes of the 2 hours he was there. The remainder of the 2 hours all he did was take a hose and pour water on the unit. He had no tools and said he couldn't fix it. I was furious and called the company. They refused to send another tech on one of the hottest days in May. I called another company. They installed a new compressor and no surprise the unit now works great, better than it ever had. It continues to work well and my electric bill is lower than ever! They suggested that the unit had never been installed properly. AVOID All Comfort! The other recommendations were written be friends. Do NOT be fooled - choose any heating/cooling company but this one!!!! Because of his excellent customer service skills as well as his expertice in the business, I stayed with him during his transition to his new company. I wouldn't think of using another vendor. Last year I my A/C unit went out when I was on vacation and when I called to see when they could come out, Alan was out the next morning and it was a Sunday morning. Last night I engaged in some spur of the moment DIY and installed a new thermostat. After I finished programming it the thermostat display indicated all was well so I went to bed without a worry. This morning an extremely cold house woke up the entire family long before the alarm went off. Try as I might I could not get the heat to come on. I wrapped my shivering grandchildren in blankets and began an Internet search for an HVAC repair company. After reading through countless reviews I came across All Comfort Heating & Cooling. Their customers' reviews were infused with true sincerity. You could tell the reviewers were really trying to make the point that this was a great company to deal with. So, first thing this morning I called All Comfort Heating & Cooling and explained my emergency to the extremely gracious Amanda. She promised to have someone at my house soon and within 90 minutes Allen & David arrived. Before setting foot in my house they covered their shoes with booties. That level of respect for my home impressed me immediately. They diagnosed & repaired the problem quickly and the service charge was very reasonable. I learned a few things today. First, don't try to install a thermostat on your own, it's much more complicated than the product packaging leads you to believe and second, do believe the reviews that you read. They lead me to a fantastic company today; All Comfort Heating & Cooling is a class act. Their technical skills are excellent and their customer service skills are extraordinary.
