On Friday, at 4:30 PM, I get a call asking if they can come in a short while. I stated that, since we had agreed on Saturday, I had already made plans and was not home. "OK, so we'll do it on Saturday. But we can just do it on FaceTime. (??? not even interested in seeing firsthand???) I'll call you between 1 and 2pm, but if you don't hear from me, give me a call." What kind of business asks a potential customer to give them a call if they forget to call you? Needless to say, I never heard from them between 1 and 2pm. However, at 3:30pm I get a phone call and I stated that they were not making a good 1st impression for the reasons cited above. I was going to say, "I'll give you one last chance." However, before making my comment, and rather than apologizing or saying, "OK, let's start again," I was met with, "OK, so you know what, I guess we don't do your move." (With that response, I guess you don't.) There was no attempt to make things right. I was in sales for 20 years. This is not how you treat a potential client. Given their ratings, I had high hopes. However, given this track record, I was left with very little confidence and assurance that they would show up when they said they would and/or honor I their commitments.

"he forgot about the appointment and was heading to the junk yard already". He said that he "might" be able to come by after or tomorrow, Saturday. We called to confirm if/when he would be coming, no answer. I texted, no answer. How does a business operate like this?? This company only had 1 review and it was rated a 4. I took a chance because I surmised they were a small business and the price was reasonable. I should have gone with a reputable company with many more reviews. If I could have given them zero stars I would have. You know, I would have given them some slack if they had the common courtesy to call me back, apologize, and commit to making things right by honoring their commitment the next day. But no . . . dead silence! If you're reading this post, do yourself a favor and find a reputable company company with more reviews, because this company wasted our entire day today. They simply suck! Update: 9/21/19. Marcus texted me yesterday to apologize for the mix-up and for not coming by to pick up our old bed yesterday as promised. And they kept their word! Another big plus for me. They got here minutes before 10AM, again apologized for their failure to come by yesterday, and quickly removed the old furniture. My septic tank has been clogged for over a week now , been trying to call them and no one answers the phone , they only have one person answering the phone name Tamika, Pleasant to speak to but never keeps her word, does not return calls or text and Voice mailbox is always full, I'm going on week two and have not received a return call I just need my filter changed out. I'm very sad I choose this company to install my system, hopefully I will have better luck with another company to complete their job. I strongly do not recommend this company!

I saw good yelp reviews, and chose Affordable Septic Solutions, luckily they were available on short notice. I was quoted $75 more than the other company, but since they were available, and I didn't have to take another day off, I was happy to pay extra. I had a zoom meeting at 2:30pm so I asked for them to come at 4pm. The workers showed up at 2 pm, I asked if they had heard about the appointment at 4pm, they said that's not how it works. I told them I will have a meeting very soon, they said I wouldn't even have to be outside. I had to go outside of course to show them where the tank was, then one worker started digging. I come outside after my meeting at 4pm, thinking they would be done, he is still digging up the tank. Then he complains nonstop about how he has been digging for so long and says there are too many roots to break up. He says he has been getting calls about how this one job is taking too long, how the company should charge me extra. I tell him I have been using a different company for years, that sometimes just sends out one guy and does this work for cheaper without any complaints. I told him also that it was dug up a year ago in March, right before everything shut down due to COVID ( My septic tank backs up after a year or so, so I get it pumped every year to avoid the back up) He says there is no way that was a year ago because all these roots could not have grown back that fast, asks me if I actually watched them dig it up, I say yes. He asks the same questions over and over because he doesn't believe me. I told him this company comes back year after year and charges me the same price, doesn't complain about roots or the digging. As he is digging he asks me if I would like him to put the bricks back that were in the yard that he removed to dig up the septic tank. He says he can try to put them back, that he couldn't guarantee that he could put them back the way they were. Below are the pics of how he left them. I do not have a problem with the mulch all getting dug up, that is fine and is what will happen every time. I don't understand how he was not 'able' to put them back and had the audacity to ask if I wanted them back in place. Really?? They also requested a water spigot, which was a first for me. I showed it to them in the backyard and they attach their hose to use it. After they leave, i check my own hose and realize the attachment is gone. I called the workers, one didn't bother to respond to a text or pick up, the other picked up and said the attachment was theirs. 2 minutes later he calls back apologizes and says he will return it once he clocks out. It was returned that evening which I was grateful for, but also very puzzling why you would use someone's hose attachment to clean septic tank materials that would get splattered with fecal matter. The payment process was very smooth, minus the fact that they asked me how much I was quoted rather than knowing the amount they should be charging. That is what the 1 star is for. Otherwise I personally would never hire this company again, the workers that showed up were so rude to me and treated me like a lying idiot.
