    New Moen cartridge installed!

    1/11/25 We needed to replace a Moen Tub/shower cartridge. Shane Evans came out on 1/09/25 and replaced the cartridge. There was a glitch, in that it started dripping. Shane had to get another part. He came back on 1/11/25 and replaced the cartridge, and corrected the problem. Shane was not deterred and, although presented with a slight setback, he handled it like a Pro. Now, the job has been completed and I would like to thank Shane, for a job well done. He is a credit to his Company, in addition to being a nice guy! Well done, Shane! 11/29/24 My friend, needed a new disposal, so I recommended "John The Plumber," as I had used them previously, and established a profile. Therefore, with Thanksgiving upon us, and my friend arriving on Sunday, 12/01, your friendly appointment scheduler, offered us a time between noon and 4:00 pm on Friday, 11/29/24, for which we were very thankful. Just before your Tech arrived, we had a nice call from Jodi, indicating Carl was on his on his way. She was very engaging and amiable. Carl arrived right on time, and it was a pleasure meeting him, as we had a nice chat about sports. He is a great guy and did a terrific job with the removal of the old Badger 5, and the installation of a new Badger 5 Insinkerator with 1/2 hp. He left the new manual, and registration card, for which I have already completed online. He emailed me the invoice, that I just paid and all is well. He left the area "spic and span." That was a big phrase used by our older generation, when something was left spotless, ha! In closing, my wife and I, originally from Philly, have been in Florida for 50 years. Being a LCAM, in Property Management, Customer Service is paramount with us. Your staff, also including very personable Maleen, who I spoke with this morning, is second to none, and they represent your Company in 5 star fashion. Your super reputation makes us very proud you are located in Pompano Beach. With the advent of THE POMP, right up SW 3rd street, you will be very busy in the years to come. Marc Walther Pompano Beach 6/12/18 We had some very bad water leaks with the valves under our kitchen sink. John Jr. came out the next day. He went right to work and removed the disposal, and the bad valves, replacing them with new. He then replaced the sink, disposal, and faucet. Everything went well and he did a fine job. We will definitely use them again, when we connect our dishwasher. John Jr. was very professional and a nice guy to boot. The office staff was very helpful and we greatly appreciated their courtesy! If you want to use the best Plumber in town, give John The Plumber a call.

    I came home to find my guest bathroom floor flooded and my rugs soaked. It appeared that the water came up from my sink drain. Strange but it was the only way and my sink bowl was full of water and would not drain out. So, what to do? My answer was to Yelp for help, which to my delight is how I found a near 5 Yelp Star plumber, John the Plumber. I phoned them and a very friendly woman answered my call and was able to set me up with a service call the next day. Then, prior to noon the next day she contacted me back to tell me a plumber was on his way to see me, Hooray! Moments later there was a knock on my door and a very pleasant young man introduced himself as Joe, the Plumber from John the Plumber. As was I, he too was rather baffled as to how this could have happened but immediately got to work correcting the problem by snaking my drain with a rooter. He went down about 22 feet and we both sort of held our breath and prayed. When he put the drain pipes back together Yip Yip Yippee! Success! It worked! I'm more than pleased to add to Plumber John's five stars. Great friendly service!

    If there was a way to give negative stars I would. Everything they did was a disaster. They did a…read morebait and switch to secure the job that went from a few thousand dollars to $20k. The price only went up after they knocked a huge hole in the cement wall outside so I was a little pressured to do it. The job was supposed to take 5-7 days. It took months! Months of having a gigantic tunnel under my home. Filling with rainwater, a huge whole in the exterior wall, and my back pavers destroyed. If I didn't call them daily, they wouldn't show up to work. When I did call them, they seemed like they had no idea about my project. Again, this went on for months. When it finally came time for an inspector to approve the job they laughed at how bad it was. The original leak was still leaking. They said it was unsafe and it fails for many reasons. In the end I don't even think the original leak was fixed as the problem that made me want to have it fixed is still there. There's so much more to write but it would be too long. Every day for months was a disaster.

    I contacted MainLine Plumbing in Pompano Beach, FL, on 4/24/2026 regarding an after-the-fact…read morepermit--also known as a legalization--for a bathroom remodel I did in my house. They sent a plumber on 4/27/2026 to provide an estimate to pull a city permit. He told me it would cost $1,200. I was astonished because the architect who drew the plans told me it should only cost around the city's actual permit fee of $500 to $600. When I refused the initial price, the plumber went outside to talk to his boss, came back inside, and lowered the price to $900. Because I was in a tight spot and needed the permits and approvals to finally resolve this issue, I agreed. Next, a woman in the office tried to insist that I pull a "structural" permit instead of just a plumbing permit. I did not ask for this, nor was it necessary, as the remodel did not involve any structural issues. She kept insisting, but I stood my ground and said no. They finally agreed to pull just the plumbing permit, as requested during my initial contact. After I paid the $900, they pulled the permit and emailed me a copy. I waited and waited, until one day I received a violation letter from the city stating that I was going to be fined because an inspection was never requested. I was shocked; navigating that process is the plumbing company's job, and I had no idea how it worked. I frantically tried to call them, but their phones were not working. I then contacted the city, and they informed me that I could not schedule the inspection myself, but the company had to do it. The city provided me with the owner's phone number. When I called him, he calmly said, "Oh, yeah, our phones are down. Send an email to Tiffany and she'll make the appointment." Tiffany scheduled the appointment for the next day. However, when the inspector arrived, the plumber never showed up. It was just the inspector and me. I had no idea how to proceed or what to say. The inspector told me he could not pass the inspection because he needed the plumber to explain the materials used and the remodeling process. Desperate and in tears, I called the architect who drew the plans. Thank God for him--he told the inspector he would handle it and briefly explained what I had been through with this bathroom. The inspector accepted his explanation, and thankfully, I passed the inspection. In summary, MainLine Plumbing was completely unprofessional. They tried to take advantage of my situation to make me spend more money by upselling and price-gouging me for a "structural" permit I did not need, on top of an already expensive plumbing permit. They were unreliable with their communication and follow-up. To make matters worse, they left me to handle the inspection alone when they should have been there to answer questions or address any issues that arise. It was a terrible experience!
