I first went to All Ears Doctors during covid in 2021. I had nigh on 5 year old workers comp WIDEX hearing aids that had a broken wire and needed repair. I was just a few months short of being qualified for new hearing aids. My audiologist was Providence I'm Huntington Beach that I was happy with them until the inane COVID hit . They went south and I couldn't even get through and when I did their hours and locations were all screwed up? I called workers comp and they said to find a new audiologist, I did? I had my records sent to All Ears Doctors and scheduled an appointment. Granted the front office clerk is somewhat ditzy at times but Ethan and Dr Paula examined me and Paula told me that I should go to the VA as the VA would provide me with better hearing aids than workers comp. Ethan fixed my existing hearing aids and I was now motivated after 50 years to seek out aid from the VA. It's now 2023 and has been a couple of years since I first went to ALL EARS DOCTORS and recently I got new widex hearing aids from All Ears Doctors. They are even better than the Phonak hearing aids the Va provided. Both have devices that connect to the tv but the WIDEX are even more advanced. Today I have an ear canal problem caused by humidity and the hearing aids. I've seen a nurse practitioner at the VA a couple of times but yer problem still exists. I called Dr .Paul's just in case and she returned my call most promptly. I learned that the office had relocated nearby. Dr Paula explained what I needed to do and scheduled an appointment at the first opportunity. The assistance rendered from the get go has been outdamnstanding. I appreciate what Dr Paula did for me by motivating me to go to the VA. I'm now 100% disabled and permanent thanks to Dr Paula's concern. Before I hadn't applied due to "survivors guilt?" What a great experience! I have suffered from hearing loss for years, and had previously worn hearing aids, but ended up losing them. Well one was actually stolen from a hotel room! Anyway, my family hand finally had enough of my constant "What?" 's, so I made an appointment with All Ear Doctors. Everyone was professional and friendly. And Paula was really awesome. I can't say enough good things about All Ear Doctors Hearing Aids. I was experiencing some hearing loss and made an appointment. I was given a exam by Cash and then spoke with Paula. She explained the hearing aids and over a two week period had me demo two different models of hearing aids. During this period I discovered that the VA provided hearing aids. I was a little reluctant to tell them that I would be getting them from the VA. Paula said she understood and let me keep the demo hearing aids until I received my new ones. Horrible customer service. No one ever answers the phone. Why are you even a doctor's place when you don't answer the dam phone? How do you have any business?? I got an appointment and I waited an hour just to be seen by the doctor. What's the point of making the appointment if this establishment can't even get there appointments on time. There was only one other person in the waiting area. What's the doctor doing? Taking lunch breaks every 10 minutes? Save yourself time, money, effort, and everything else because this place is not worth it. Horrible service. Horrible doctor. Horrible everything. Just try calling now. I bet they won't even answer. Normally, patients have to see a doctor in one office and get testing in another office; that's not the case at All Ears. They helped me greatly by spending extra time with my parents to fit their hearing aids to their ears well. No other hearing aid providers cares enough to spend any more time than necessary to get paid and get the patient out the door. read more

Very bad impression for both a lady of front desk and a doctor. Both are not polite over the phone and not kind enough to explain how to fill out the paper by online. My appointment is next Monday, so I have not met them yet, but I have already had a bad feeling to go this place. I have been calling all week trying to set up an appointment for my son who immediately needs a hearing test completed because he's got fluid in his ears. I've called 3 days in a row - all differing times of the day and it goes straight to voicemail. No one answers the phone! Also no hours listed or stated anywhere - I don' t know if they open at 8, 9, 10 or what time! I don't know how they operated their office, but I'll be calling our primary physician to ask for another referral. Geez, if they would just pick up the phone and call me back and let me know they are completely booked or closed or whatever - that would be better than not knowing at all. read more

I have referred many friends and family here they always have great things to say .I also get botox with the Dr he is always precise and very gentle .I also have a received a hearing test and hearing aids from Paula she is a gem very knowledgeable and always educates me on the top on the line advances in hearing . So far, and the story isn't over, but so far -- I'm having a terrible experience with this office. The doctor side, anyway -- and to some extent the hearing aid side. I went to see Dr. Richard Castanon in late March for a hearing problem and some dizziness (which has since cleared up on its own). The first visit was pretty normal - a physical exam of my ears, nose and throat. Then a scheduled visit with the audiologist (his wife) for a hearing test and a balance test (for the dizziness). I came back and had that done, and was told that I needed to see the doctor to get the results (another payment for him for that second visit). He spent maybe 20 seconds with me - to tell me that the balance test looked bad and that I needed to get an MRI. When I asked him what the results of the test actually meant, he simply got up and walked out of the office and refused to answer my questions!! Instead, telling me that he'd go over everything after the MRI. So I scheduled the MRI with a lab that I use frequently and that was nearby. (His office wanted me to use 'their' go-to lab which was on the other side of town). He wanted me to get a blood test for the dye that would be used in the MRI, which I also took at the my own lab. I ended up having to call the lab to see where the results were (so I could get the MRI) and they said that the doctor's office did not request the results. So I call the doctor's office and they claim they got the lab names mixed up. Oh, and by the way, I also asked them for copies of my tests for my files, and I had to speak with at least three, maybe four different people to get them. At first they said they'd email them right away, then they repeated that story after I asked a couple more times, and then one of them said they had 'special procedures' to follow before they could send them. It took a couple of weeks and several calls to get them. So I was inclined to believe my lab's story over the doctor's office's story. So I get the MRI and I have to go in again (third visit and third office charge) to get the results which are negative in every way. Something he could have told me over the phone (which I asked for, but they wouldn't do it). Again about 20 seconds with him (after taking off work, and waiting in the lounge each time -- third visit). Oh, and the hearing test/balance test (VNG test) was performed, not by the licensed audiologist (his wife), but their son, who's only credits on the wall were for computer technology. ??? They claimed the tests were fine. So after my 20 seconds with Richard Castanon, he again rushes me out of his office to refer me to another ENT at UCI medical center for a second opinion. Again - no answers to even the simplest of my questions. I asked him what this other doctor might find that he didn't. No answer - just walked away. His wife, Paula, the audiologist, did take some time with me that day to go over hearing aids. She claimed she couldn't answer any questions related to the VNG test (which I had tried to ask the doctor about) and that only the doctor could talk about that. ??? Anyway, she wanted me to get two hearing aids (only one ear has lost hearing), so I told her I'd think about it. In the meantime I wanted to get a second opinion. Which I did (in fact, I went to two other audiologists who both recommended only one hearing aid, not two). I went to see the UCI guy, who told me he never received the tests from Dr. Castanon's office, so he never had anything to review before I arrived (after waiting for weeks to get an appointment with him). I gave him the copies I had wrested from them in April - weeks after asking for them in March -- and after only a curslory glance at them -- he told me I had migraines (I don't suffer from headaches at all) and to stop eating avocados and to take some B-2 vitamins. THEN today -- the final insult -- I found out that Dr. Castanon's office has billed my insurance for two hearing aids -- which I did not order and certainly did not receive from them!!!! In fact, I'm the process of ordering an aid from another clinic, and now my insurance has to get the money back from Castanon's office before they will pay the benefit to the real provider!!!! As far as I'm concerned, these guys are gougers -- they just try to get you in for as many visits as possible, then they try to sell you the most expensive thing they can (two hearing aids, when one will do?) and, on top of it -- they are completely uncooperative when it comes to giving you answers, or even copies of your own records. And I'm still not convinced that they sent my records to the UCI doctor as they said they did -- based on the way they've handled my treatment thus far. I'll be so happy to be done with them -- as soon as the insurance gets the money back -- I would never, ever recommend this office. This is an old fashion ear doctor peddling hearing aids. They are not up to date on new technology in the industry. When I asked to talk to the Doctor after a hearing test, they wanted to know every question I wanted to ask him before actually letting me talk to him in private, just bizarre! I never got to talk to the Doctor. They didn't know how to download new programs in my equipment. Then they said they would call me with an answer to my concerns but never did. They act like they want to help but only want you coming back so they can bill your insurance. I'm out! and won't be back!! read more

Majority of their patients may be the elderly or middle-aged,so please save your PARENTS and yourself the terrible experience.I would give them NEGATIVE STARS if Yelp allowed. My father who can carry a proper english conversation, however is not the best at comprehension ( not to mention that he visited the office due to hearing loss), had to call me to translate for his visit. He treated the whole office staff with utmost respect and kindness. He took them small gifts out of gratitude, and complimented the staff. They seemed stiff and unkind, so he wanted to put a smile on their face. Upon meeting with his doctor ( or so he thought) he ended up meeting the audiologist Paula Castenon. My father was supposed to meet with Richard Castenon, however he unfortunately ended up with the most rude, belittling, snotty, and impatient audiologist Paula Castenon. She has ABSOLUTELY NO, ZERO, NADA, respect for her patients, or she is sadly and safe-for-me-to-assume-from-this-experience, racist. She would not let me translate, she spoke as if she didn't want to be working, she acted as if she had a stick up her behind. So snotty, rude, and belittling to my father. She said that she was having trouble hearing me over the phone because I was on speaker, and therefore I politely asked her if she could turn off speaker mode and put the phone to her ear, or closer to her ear, and she says, "NO, I'M TYPING WITH TWO HANDS!" ope, Sooorrrryy, last time I checked, i was able to eat, and multitask, and move objects in between typing because it only takes a split second. After snottily explaining to me about my father's ear, I said okay let me explain the procedure to him. As soon as I get on the phone with my dad, she keeps yelling, "THERE'S NOTHING MORE TO SAY, THERE'S NOTHING MORE TO SAY, WE'RE DONE, WE'RE DONE!". she kept yelling, was so stand-offish, had so much complaints about me translating over the phone. I'm sorry we didn't ask for a translator prior to the visit, we were so caught up in other tasks that we forgot to arrange one. However, he has every right to have a last minute translator whether through phone or in person. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT WAS SO WRONG FOR ME TO TRANSLATE FOR MY FATHER OVER THE PHONE. Why do you hate us so much. what did my father do, what did I do. We are not sensitive, we have dealt with many many situations, but never have i felt so cornered, and disrespected, and literally hated on for NO REASON at MEDICAL CLINIC at that. LIKE OH MY GOSH, CAN YOU NOT BE SO RUDE TO YOUR PATIENTS? ARE WE ALLOWED TO TALK? I'M SORRY, DOES MY FATHER, YOUR PATIENT,NEED TO RAISE HIS HAND AND SPEAK? My daughter had been excited experiencing hearing loss over the last several weeks and some pain. On an unrelated medical appointment with another doctor, it was recommended that we see an ENT immediately as her condition can trigger ear issues that can result in permanent hearing loss. Started dialing and found Dr Castanon who also takes our insurance and could see us within 30 minutes. Found both Dr Castanon and the audiologist Paula (his wife) to be extremely friendly and competent. They spent a long time with us consulting on not only her hearing issue, but also her more serious condition, Wegener's Granulomastosis which is a serious auto-immune disease. We had only received the diagnosis a few hours before and were still in shock to some degree. They couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. In fact, Paula told me about a Rheumatologist that she knew that we should consider meeting with in Newport Beach that she really trusted. After we got home I get a call from Paula saying she called the doctor and took the liberty of making us an appointment the next day, as she knew we were going on vacation in three days and thought we might want to see someone before leaving for over 9 days. All of this to treat an issue that had nothing to do with their practice and made them no money. That is service. That is caring. And for a couple of parents that were just told their daughter had a rare disease that could kill her, THAT was humanity. And for that, I strongly recommend this practice. read more

i have had vertigo for the last few years. i tried as long as possible to just deal with it, but couldn't stand it any longer. i went to all ear doctors' hearing aids and found out a lot of great information about possible causes of it and possible consequences of ignoring it. i am really glad i didn't ignore it any longer. i got an MRI and was scared. luckily i went through with their guidance and found out i have no tumor. inner ear problems are one cause of vertigo. i did all the testing and i have inner ear trouble along with a hearing loss. the doctor helped me with the eply maneuver and it helped almost instantly. the eply maneuver is something people can learn to do themselves after some instruction and it helps quickly until the problem resurfaces. i am really grateful they spent extra time with me explaining how to address the dizziness. i feel i can go on in life without trauma of paralyzing dizziness striking when i'm at work, driving etc. at least i can pull over and do the eply maneuver or do it before i have to drive if dizziness is there. read more
