I've tried 2 different techs at this establishment and it seems they get it right the first time but on your next visit, it's like they've drawn a blank or are simply afraid to say no you can't do what I am asking. I have been looking for a place for pedicures since we've moved here from San Diego, Ca. My first time here for a pedicure and I'm was impressed with the service! My daughter and I walked in on Memorial Day early afternoon and asked for a pedicure. We were shortly taken back. We both got the deluxe pedicure spa treatment and it was amazing! I had a young gentleman who was very attentive and gentle. The massage chairs looked updated and they work. They did bring out the "cheese grater " but he was pretty gentle with it. There was no digging in the toe nails to trim. It's been 2 days since I've been there and my toes nails do not feel swollen or dug into in the corner like some pedicure places have left me. I am a very particular person and I will say, I highly recommend this place for a pedicure. read more

I have going to this place for the last year. Hard to find a place in La Plata that's decent. It's dirty, the staff is rude, but I looked past that since my nails were decent. But now they want the older lady in there to learn how to do nails, my cuticles are sore, the acrylic is on my cuticle which causes lifting and they charge the same amount for this crap job. After my failed attempt to get my nails done at another salon, I called this one (while I was still sitting in the other nail shop that had me already waiting for 20 min after my appointment time) and asked if someone was available to do a full set. I was told to come on in, so I headed over. 10 minutes later, I arrived to an immaculately clean nail salon and was greeted. The young lady went to the back to get the tech who was going to do my nails and he came out and greeted me. I showed him the picture of the ombre set and he gave me options for the base color. Colby went to work on my hands, and about an hour later, I had a beautiful ombre set. He was quick, but skilled and he answered all of my questions. After spending hundreds of dollars here in 2 months, I had one good set and some idiot was supposed to do a simple polish change and sanded them down and painted way too much gel where the nails started peeling and looked bumpy in other areas and ruined my full set. When I called them to schedule an appointment to fix it, they refused to fix it, told me to go somewhere else and hung up on me!!! Decent pedicure. She did a great job getting my cuticles. Also, I was able to do a walk in. Those were the positives. My only issue is that the nail tech kept trying to upsell me. I just wanted to relax. Everything was just money, money, money. No, I don't want my eyebrows done. I don't get them waxed. I get them threaded. Was looking for a new salon in La Plata went to them once everything was OK gave them another chance came in they were totally rude asked for young lady to do my nails because I liked what she did on the Customer before me she straight out refused without having any other clients after. Just took a walk in after she said no to me. Another lady did my nails. She was very sweet but I got a French manicure and it looks like it's been worn for two weeks, the white is uneven, and the tan is uneven. I told her that the white is uneven she said OK and smiled. My daughter got a French with the red glitter not even one nail matches all uneven. Very hard to find a nice salon. I get my nails done every two weeks I tip well I pay whatever they ask for but I just wasted $230. We live and learn. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. My mother and I tried this place once before and the service was mediocre but we decided to give them another chance. NEVER AGAIN. Employees rush through the service, they are not properly trained. For myself, I expressed I have issues with ingrown nails. The lady working on me just nodded and kept on with the pedicure. I expressed again that I needed them removed in which she got an attitude but kept on with the pedicure. I then asked another employee for assistance. It looks like a 5 year old polished my toes, we were not even offered the option to dry the polish, just to "air dry". Polish was ruined within minutes of getting into the car. Aside from the service, the place smelled like sewage. I am not sure if there was an issue but an employee was working (snaking out, attempting to drain) on the pedicure bowls the entire time we were there. If there was a sewage issue they should have stopped all pedicures for the day. Very unpleasant thing to smell during a "relaxing" service. What a complete waste of money. read more

Rip off rip-off rip-off!!!! and they are slick about it! Quoted my daughter $35 for a full set then tried to talk her into gel for $10 more . My daughter called me to ask what she should do I told her no just get the acrylic for $35. So she tells him. They had attitude because she didn't pick the more expensive option ( I wasn't paying for all that) so they switch up and tell her the acrylic will be $45 instead of $35 AFTER they had already applied the nails and acrylic ...not before at the consultation Which would have given her a chance to decline..he said there's a $10 charge if the nails aren't gonna be short. I've never heard of that before and I've been to several nail salons. Just sneaky and crooked. And when the person was doing her nails she told me that she kept snatching her hands back and just being rude. Don't go here. Bunch of crooks work here and that's unacceptable. And by his comment below Henry is calling me a liar because it DID happen. Most businesses would apologize and offer to fix the issue to keep your business not dispute your experience there. MONEY HUNGRY. First time visiting this nail salon. I got my pedicare done for myself and nails and toes done for my 7 year old daughter. I told the Manager, Henry, that I wanted my seven year old daughter nails and toes polished. Henry stated that the service will costs $15. When it was time for me to pay he tried to charge $25 for daughter. Outrageous!! I usually pay $7-$10 to get my daughter nails and toes polished. Rude and unprofessional. I came in today wanting an acrylic fill-in. I wanted one solid color done and my ombré I had before taken off. Henry did my nails and he even asked me numerous times about me changing my color. I assumed he would do it. He fixes three broken nails but just adds more acrylic powder to the ombré ones I had before. I asked him was he going to fix it and he told me no because I needed a new full set. I would have been fine paying for a new set if he told me that before he finished my nails. He then sends me over to someone else so they can add gel color. I'm heated at this point. She ignores what I wanted done to my nails and Henry comes over and tells me I need a darker color. I then tell him for the last time this isn't what I wanted. He proceeds to yell at me asking me what I wanted so I had no choice but to do the same. He tried to make me look dumb in front of everyone. He then fixed my nails and still made me pay full price. Not to mention three weeks ago I had a lady do my nails here as well and told me I couldn't get WHAT I ASKED FOR because it was $65 and she thought I was incapable of paying it and also cut me causing me to bleed.You will never get my business or money again. read more

New to the neighborhood. I tried this place based on proximity and recommendations. I went 3 times. First two times they did a decent job but they have extremely poor customer service. I overheard them talking about a customer after she left. A woman came in asking for designs and no one even answered her at first. Then they said they don't do designs. Then the owner, Henry, says well show me what you want and I can do it. The whole conversation was a disaster. The third time he gave me one price and charged me another. Customer Service was great. Nail designs are done by only one person and he's good. The prices are really steep for me anyway. Bad part my nails cracked within 3 days of getting them done. One cracked on the side halfway through one of my nails and my other nail cracked completely across. So frustrated . Spent too much money for them to be cracking within 3 days. The gel polish didn't stay on. My clear top coat started coming off after a few days and the gel polish itself is cracking. This was my first refill(gel) after getting a fresh overlay 3 weeks before. I was surprised. Henry is the best kept secret in Charles County. Went with a friend for pedicures today. Henry & his wife worked with us. We had an amazing experience! They got us in quickly and started the pedicures right away. We were seated, water was perfect, and we were offered refreshments immediately. My pedicure was perfect from start to finish. He did an incredible job! Customer service is good. First nail tech did an okay job (one overlay came off after 2.5 weeks and it was a new set). Second nail tech did much better. My issue lies with the pricing. My service included acrylic fill, gel polish, 1 nail repair, and toe polish change. Grand total was $50. There was nothing special about the service (honestly, they did less than any salon I've patroned). I am used to getting the same service minus the nail repair for $33 (South Jersey....$13 Acrylic fill, $10 gel polish, $10 toe color change). Seems they are price gouging considering where they are located. read more
