I wish I'd checked reviews. So I arrived for my first appointment and the office was FREEZING. And based on staff comments, this is not unusual. The nurse checking vitals was wearing a winter hat FFS and the Dr. was in sweats with a headband ear warmer. Apparently, "management" sets the temp and doesn't turn it on high enough or early enough for morning appts. They dont even have blankets. Theonly thing worse than an annual exam is doingso while literally shivering. Second, this is NOT ALL FEMALE. The practice co owner is Dr. Khan's husband, he is the practice manager AND the one deciding temperature in the office. Why call your practice All Female when owned and managed by a man? One conveniently not listed on the website. I dont want a Dr. Office that freakin' lies about a thing like that?? Ugh, i wishmy old OBGYN hadnt retired. I went here for their new Vi Peel after hearing really good things about the Laser Hair Removal. I have hyperpigmentation under my eyes and was desperately looking for a solution. Dr. Kanwal Khan is highly personable and experienced at everything she does. She personally advised that I try out the peel, and given her vast areas of expertise, I followed her direction. I was very pleased with the process from start to finish. The front desk had 2 Receptionists, and being a receptionist myself, I'm very keen about how Reception interacts with patients, being the face of the business. Dr. Sarah was the one who did the procedure on me, and she ensured all my questions and concerns were addressed before I left. When something is being done to the face, a peace of mind is very essential, and that's exactly what I got. You also get a skin care package with instructions along for when you go home, which I really appreciated. It's included in the cost of the treatment so I didn't have to drop extra bucks like at most dermatologists. I highly recommend this practice, their pricing is very reasonable as well. If I could I would give this practice a 0 star rating, as that is what the practice office DESERVES! No hospitality nor mentality to the patients. We humans go to an obgyn to be cared for and comfortable, Dr Khan does quite the OPPOSITE. Dr Khan is just ALL about the money for her business and practice, shows her true colors and identity. Doctor Khan is not professional or caring. Staff is NOT professional too! Have had a very bad experience, and I should've realized it from my first visit. My very first visit for a check up, she had rushed it and did not explain anything to me. I just sat on the bed, and got right off after a very very very quick examination. And I paid copay and billing for what?! So a "dr" can look at my vagina? I was just in awe, because I would've assumed the Dr to ask questions and give me some information and reassurance. Also, in Dr Khan office, I was sitting and waiting and had saw a billboard in her waiting room with a paper poster saying "self paid customers must pay in only CASH" ??! Are you kidding me, what kind of dr who accepts cash only?? Does she pay tax for the cash? That right there just shows what she values as a doctor. 1. The receptionist is WAY too overwhelmed to be the only one running the front and that office definitely needs more space for as busy as it is. Dr. Khan is always overbooked so there is always a bit of a wait, which is ok considering she is popular and she is the only provider other than her assistant PA. This visit however, they overbooked so much they forgot to check two patients in (one being me) upon arrival. I signed in like I was told, had a seat, and had been waiting there for over an hour thinking they must really be behind, while other patients were skipping ahead of me because the doctor didn't know I was there since I did not get checked in. During this time, a young pregnant patient had an issue and loudly expressed her anger, caused a scene, and left. From there, the receptionist became very unprofessional and talked bad about that patient to other patients. She mentioned to them that the angry patient would probably be dismissed from the practice and that is what happens when children have babies. Now, I do the same job as what the medical receptionist does where I work, but I would NEVER talk about a patient with other patients, one because of HIPAA... hello a little privacy! And two because it is unprofessional and makes the practice look bad. Now I'm thinking, what do they say about me when I leave the office? 2. Good luck getting through via phone. The phones seem to always be down and you get an answering service stating the office is now closed.... during business hours! 3. They have a sign on the door stating only the patient is allowed in the waiting room which would be awesome considering they only have 6 chairs, but yet they have dads, kids, grandma's, aunts, uncles and whole families in there taking all the space so actual patients have to stand. They need to reinforce that ALL guests wait OUTSIDE of the office until the patient they are with is called back and limit guests to ONE per patient. Seats are for patients ONLY. These are pregnant women and people with issues who need to be able to sit and not stand because a guest is taking up space that the office does not have. I really want to give this place a shot, but so far I'm not very impressed with what I have experienced. I really hope they see these reviews and try to do better in these areas. read more

We love Dr. Khan. From the moment we stepped into her practice, the staff were super sweet. She has two clinics, one in Centerville and the other in Fairfax. Both are very nice. During the first appointment, she took the time to get to know my husband and I. She was personable and funny. We were also given a bag full of goodies with information about the pregnancy. There are complimentary water bottles available beside the front desk, which is a nice touch. Getting ready for our first child was exciting and we had lots of questions. Dr. Khan was always patient and took the time to answer them. The nine months of holding baby Jet has been a journey and knowing we have a great OBGYN to guide us through it all has been comforting. During each visit, my weight, blood pressure, and other necessary health exams were taken. Dr. Khan is always one step ahead, knowing and informing me of what I will need or what may happen along the road. I am so grateful for her care. She is not only knowledgeable but also humble and caring. I can't say enough about how sweet the staff are. Super friendly, professional, and personable. When the day of delivery finally arrived, Dr. Khan was cool, calm, and collected. She answered my questions and made me feel at ease. I placed my trust in her and she didn't let me down. During my labor, she was encouraging and patient. After I delivered Jet, she came to visit me in the hospital every day I was there. I joked how hungry I was prior to active labor, that she even brought me food the next time she saw me. How sweet is that! Yes, I would definitely recommend Dr. Khan :D read more

I have to say that I will not be returning to this practice. Not only was my appointment rushed, I felt that the NP was not very personable. She did not go into the depth of my history for an infertility screening. She rushed through everything and seemed to be annoyed with any questions that I did have. I have worked with many Ob practices as I am a labor nurse and I have never met such a rude provider, and that is saying a lot considering. I would not recommend any patient or person to come to this practice if you want someone who will be compassionate during your pregnancy or for infertility issues. Also, as I was leaving I heard the NP and her students talking about my history and my visit so loud that the whole waiting room could hear. If I could rate this place a zero star I would! The person that i saw for my FIRST pregnancy appointment was the Nurse Practitioner Sarah. She was AWFUL! I was dying to see somebody for my first appointment bec i have been waiting for my insurance to kick in and i wanted to see if my baby was doing okay (mind you I'm 3 1/2 months pregnant with #2 baby) so i decided to go in self paid just so I can get a check up. Let me tell you.. that was the worst decision i ever made! You can tell everyone that works there is just working for money she had no care in the world that it was my first appointment to see my BABY, I heard my baby's heart beat for the FIRST TIME for only 5 seconds and to top it off she didnt even measure my baby's heartbeat to tell me how fast it was beating. (Mind you I already know what to expect bec I already had a baby before!) She made NO EFFORT to get a good view of my baby inside of me and they ran out of printer paper for the ultrasound machine and she told me "you can take a picture on your phone if youd like since we have no more printer paper." For a OBGYN OFFICE you should never run out of such things when those are high in demand! Not only that, this was my FIRST appointment getting to see my baby for the first time and to make matters worse she RUSHED my whole appointment mind you NO ONE WAS THERE! I was uncomfortable, I was pissed and I was disgusted on how she made me feel. For someone to rush a moment that every mother should embrace and enjoy, That was a wreck. It was unprofessional on so many levels. PLUS the receptionist and NP Sarah had no idea what i was in there for and NP Sarah looked thrown off when I had told her I was there for my first pregnancy appointment. Mind you, they had called me a week before to reschedule my appointment bec their ultrasound machine wasnt working so they CLEARLY KNEW what i was going there for! The whole appointment was a mess. It was super rushed, I didnt get to embrace my babys heartbeat nor even know what my baby's hbpm was, and I didn't even get a good view of my baby. Plus, it just keeps getting worse, not only did she speed up the process of the ultrasound she made no effort to make me feel comfortable nor made any conversation to get to know me and how I've been. Thats important for any mom to be or mom in general or any woman! You always want to feel welcomed when it comes to an OB office and this office isnt it. What if this was my first baby and this was my first appointment experience, I would have been livid! This was at the Chantilly office not centerville but either way i dont think it would have made any difference bec the type of character she is i would for sure expect the same treatment. I went for an appointment for and issue that's been affecting me emotionally only for Dr.Khan to make me feel even worse. Appointment was rushed after waiting 1 hour, I did blood work and it did not seem sanitary nor did the woman drawing my blood knew what she was doing and left my arm in pain. I've had the worst luck trying to find a good OBGYN. My previous one was rude, inconsiderate, and gave horrible advice. Dr. Khan is exactly what I have been looking for. She is very down to earth, knowledgeable, kind-hearted, and I can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. Had to wait a little while in the waiting room due to many patients booking after the snow, but she was well worth the wait! Cozy waiting room, and very clean environment. I also didn't have to fill out pages and pages of paper work, which was a huge plus. She took down the necessary information, and that was all. One of my bigger concerns was if she took my insurance, but she takes all insurances, so no problems there. I went off of these Yelp reviews, and I am so glad that they are as true as they say. I have never felt more comfortable with an OBGYN in my life! She is the kind of doctor that will laugh with you if you ask a stupid question, not at you. I read these negative reviews and could not disagree more! Dr. Khan is a wonderful physician and the sweetest lady. She is super busy (which shows that she is wonderful) or else her office would be empty! But she still takes the time to explain everything to her patients and ask if they have any more questions. Most of the time when she is rushing it is because she needs to rush to the hospital to catch a baby! She has been my OBGYN for about 3 years now and delivered both of my babies. She is super supportive and has an excellent bedside manner. She even gave me her cell phone number and lets me text and call her if i ever get too worried! (which doctor does that!!?) This Location is great, easy to get to and easy to park at. You can schedule appointments on line and usually any day you want, which is hard for other offices who are booked for months! I have such a busy schedule and was allowed to come in before opening hours to meet my needs, that a very dedicated doctor who would come in early for her patients! Dr. Khan is a very quick relaxing doctor. She has an updated waiting area with comfy chairs and free water and snack bars. You are taken into her office for weight, blood pressure and questions, not stuck in some exam room for 20 minutes while you wait for someone to come. The exam room itself is very cozy and you almost don't feel like you are at a doctors but maybe at home. The procedures themselves are very quick and invasive and I like the use of patient portal so all test and visit summaries are uploaded there and the patient can access from home instead of having to play phone tag with a nurse. I highly recommend Dr Khan and plan on continuing to see her for as long as I am in the area! read more

Dr. Khan miscalculated my client's baby size and repeatedly told her she could not birth her baby vaginally bc it would be a 9 pounder, based on her own ultrasound readings. During labor, she broke my client's water at 4 cm without informed consent. The labor eventually turned into a cesarean hours later. Baby came out at 6 pounds. My client was upset and felt that her rights were constantly trampled on. She was shocked to find that her baby was in fact much smaller than her doctor had projected and that all the fear that Dr. Khan had built in her was unfounded. We will not return here. read more

I am updating this review for the fourth time to reflect and I am now receiving my seventh lab bill based on a visit from more than one year ago to this office. A visit that was supposed to just be a standard annual female exam. The same bill keeps coming and I keep having to call them and tell them its not legit to which they finally check their records and agree with ....such a pain every single time and not knowing when it will stop. On a related sidenote I have received several private comments via Yelp from other reviewer's who talked about being intimidated either to not leave a review or retaliation after-the-fact such as not returning phone calls. I agree and just the thought of having to contact their office again sends me into a legit clinical panic attack to the point that my husband handles the communication. I really wish it would just stop ....I don't want anything to do with this office ever again, they don't owe me anything nor do I oh them anything and I just wish the erroneous billing would stop. Dr. Khan killed my twin nephews. My sister put her two babies lives in her hands and when she fell ill, Dr. Khan did not show up for the 7 days she was in the ICU. Dr. Khan ignored the deep chest cough my sister was experiencing and kept saying it was an allergic reaction. To what!?!?! That cough turned into pneumonia which turned into RSV because it was ignored for 4 months (duration of her pregnancy). When my sister checked into the hospital, Dr. Khan was called immediately and said, "Okay I will be there as soon as I can". She NEVER showed. Dr. Khan and the Fair Oaks hospital sent her home after seeing her for only 2 hours. A few hours after we returned home, my sister was bleeding so we rushed her back to the hospital. After a series of frequent phone calls, Dr. Khan never picked up, never showed up, never called, and ignored the ER Staff's attempted phone calls. This woman, Dr. Khan, should NOT be practicing. I don't know how she got her license. All Dr. Khan-artist can do is kill your unborn children. If you want a guaranteed miscarriage, please see this doctor!!!!!!!! If you want your unborn babies to live, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This woman is unprofessional, irresponsible and does NOT care about her patients lives. Because of her neglect and carelessness, I had to burry my premature nephews and my sister's heart will forever be broken. How can you live with yourself, Dr. Khan? I thought I had a Bartholin cyst when I came into Dr. Khan's office. She told me it was merely a pimple, and she popped it. Right after she popped it, which hurt excessively, she left the room and I had to look at the damage myself - I was bleeding and it was still stinging. Right after, I paid for the appointment. A month later, I received a letter saying I had not paid my appointment fee - $85 for "removal of abscess." When she was popping the pimple, she had not told me this was a procedure and I did not give my informed consent. I do not recommend her at all - total lack of communication and although she is sweet, her sweetness does not account for the lack of professionalism. read more

I totally diaagree with every single negative review of All Female OBGYN. It seems like every single negative review is completely opposite of what I have experienced with Dr. Khan. I have been a patient of Dr. Khan since 2015 and could not speak highly enough about Dr. Khan. My last pregnancy was little big complicated and required c -section at 37weeks, Dr. Khan is an amazing surgeon. Outstanding, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure me and the baby are ok. I am not quiet sure what previouse reviewer was talking about... I was always informed about type of the visit either virtual or in person, if virtual than receptionists ALWAYS called few min prior to notify me that Dr. will be calling soon. Regarding blood work or other results I could always talk to the nurse or Dr. Khan over the phone without extra visit unless I feel like it is necessary than yes. I have never had billing issues and was seen by Dr. Khan within minutes after showing up. Office has been always clean and I was always welcomed by receptionist will nice smile. Please review the responses from patients who have seen Dr. Khan before scheduling with her office. By far the most unprofessional, unethical, unknowledgeable office I have ever had to work with. First and foremost, Dr. Khan had the opportunity to turn my experience around. She reached out to me after I expressed how unhappy I was with the office only to hang up on me after I explained the mistakes made by her office in regards to billing and coding. I worked 6 years in the dental field and have sufficient knowledge in working with insurance companies and medical billing/coding. This office outsources their bills to an insurance coordinator that has no idea what they are doing. I spent countless hours on the phone with Insurance + Dr. Khans office. Ultimately, Dr. Khan billed out my visit using codes to get the office more money. She was extremely unethical in her reasoning when trying to cover her ass. Fortunately enough, I am aware of the process through insurance and coding and I knew enough to know her office was being dishonest. This office DOES NOT put patient care as a priority, they operate with production & profit in the forefront of their minds. Be aware before scheduling. I will never be returning. Can I give a half star like seriously..it took forever to be seen and when I was finally seen I felt rushed in the room,I explained that I had never had a pelvic exam before yet she was not gentle at all in trying to place the instrument inside me, then when I inquired about birth control she implied I was too big to be on it.LOL really never heard that before.Idk if she was tired or feeling lazy.She also stated that I being 27 didn't need a pap/ pelvic exam until I became more sexually active.I'm no doctor but I know that is so not true their are still risks. The procedure was cut short due to her not taking things at the proper speed for someone who had never had a pap before.It gets one star for the cleanliness, but I will never come back here again, probably try the obgyn office across the street! read more

Completely agree with every other negative review here. I'm not sure where the positive reviewers went, because it was not here. The office, upon arrival, was cluttered and unorganized. Seems like a superficial issue, but it was a major red flag. I was judged for my choice to not medicate (did not want to go back on birth control). Dr.Khan's colleague did a quick google search for alternative methods just to say "I'm not much of a natural remedy type." Additionally, no one warned me that blood work would cost $250 until I received a bill later. The blood was taken in the office, so I had no clue it would cost any extra and was not warned beforehand. I would not have done the tests if I had known how much it would be. They did not notify me my results were posted to my account, and I had to schedule another appointment and pay $40 just to be told what I could already didact from the results. I requested an in-person appointment with Dr.Khan to go over ultrasound reports and potentially do a physical exam, but it was made into a virtual appointment without asking me and I did not realize until the day before. They also changed the time of my appointment without notifying me. Can't wait to never come back. Stay away if you care about your money and wellbeing. read more

I've been living in the Fairfax area for a little over three years now and have been to about 6-7 different OBGYNs. I have FINALLY found the one doctor I will be sticking with for good. I've seen Dr. Khan several times now and she is amazing. She truly wants what is best for you, and listens to her patients! If I could leave 0 stars, I would. *long but please read!* I had some trouble writing this review when things were first happening because I was having a hard time and no other comparison​ for any OB/GYN since going to her was my first time. I found out I was pregnant and was impatient to wait for an appointment, well the one thing this office is good at is scheduling people right away so I went in within the next couple of days of me setting up an appointment. At my very first appointment she saw my birthday and made a strange remark, "Ah, babies​ having babies", but I did not pay much mind to it as I more excited about seeing the baby and knowing more about my future journey. The appointment was extremely quick- ultrasound, some blood work, and that was it. She did not make me feel comfortable and really did not tell me much. I assumed this is how appointments went. She had me come in every other week, same thing every appointment- 5-minute​ ultrasound and some blood work. She used the invasive ultrasound and would check the baby's heartbeat​ and everything seemed to be okay. I already a bit annoyed with the front desk and how rude they were and not to mention their lack of knowledge with insurance companies. I gave them my insurance information every visit because they could not seem to get things right. I called my insurance to see what was going on and they told me they weren't filing claims correctly (which they would know if they just took the step to actually contact the insurance companies instead of having their already grieving patients worry about the mess) But I digress and will touch the subject later on, I was having concerns about​ some issues I was having and I asked her to do a pap smear​. I did not think she was going to do an ultrasound, but of course, ​she ignored my request for a​ pap smear and said I didn't​ need one and did an ultrasound. She looked for awhile and said I do not hear a heartbeat​. I was heartbroken​. She treated it like it was nothing, was not comforting, and referred me to a specialist to confirm the miscarriage. All she told me was I was young anyway and things like this happen. I went to the specialist and I did, in fact,​ have a missed miscarriage. She had me come in again to prescribe me the pill to get the miscarriage going. During this appointment, for my peace of mind, I asked for another ultrasound just to make sure. She didn't want to do it, she said, "it won't​ change anything, but okay". So I waited in the room for about 15 minutes and she had another lady behind me waiting to come in. She saw me and said, ​"Oh, I forgot about you". Are you kidding me?? I'm​ over here about to burst into tears and she was being extremely insensitive. She quickly looked, no heartbeat​ ​then took me into her office to prescribe me the medication. She said, "Once you miscarry, wait to stop bleeding which should be in about 4 weeks then if you would like, you can try again, but I would wait if I were you. You're too young and have better things ahead of you". Any mother that loses her child knows that this is not what you would like to hear at this point. That was my last appointment in her office. Every single appointment I would wait about an hour and a half to get called in to see her. I do not have a copay and they told me I had a $40 copay and I called my insurance and they let me know that they shouldn't have taken it. I have yet to see my refund. This was back in October. They still haven't figured out how to bill my insurance, which is outrageous as I work in a medical office dealing with insurance company and our goal is to figure out as much as we can before bothering and stressing out the patient, which they do not care to do. Dr. Khan seemed to not like me from the beginning and my guess was she didn't pay much mind to me because I have Medicaid​ as insurance. Every other patient I saw go into the office was greeted with a smile, but not me which I found strange. I would not recommend Dr. Khan or her office. The only nice person there I came across was her assistant, but I do not remember her name, ​unfortunately​. After her office, I went to a doctors appointment and they told me I had an infection which could have caused the miscarriage. Thanks to Dr. Khan not checking me properly (or at all) I did not know this and completely regret ever going to her. I am now pregnant again and I go to a different doctor and have a way better, and personal experience. My doctor makes me feel at ease and gives me all the information and testing I need. She told me that listening to the baby's heartbeat that early is not recommended because of the heat that is placed on the heart. She asked me who my last doctor was and I told her Dr. Khan and she told me that the patients that see her after Dr. Khan do not have anything good to say about her. I found out I was pregnant and decided to go to All Female OBGYN because I needed an OB, and they were close and had plenty of availability. This was my first pregnancy and I did not feel there was a good connection between Dr. Kahn and I. She seemed very rushed to get me in and out of the office as quick as possible even though it was me and only one other patient there. When receiving blood work results, they told me the wrong results multiple times when they called which sent me in a panic that my levels were not going up like they should. They scheduled me for a video appointment and then delayed and called me unexpectedly and again gave me the wrong results. They then cancelled my appointment for the following week without me asking for that. I called back and asked them to cancel all future appointments because I was switching OBGYN's. I then received a call on the morning of the cancelled appointment asking if I would be arriving. I was then informed a week later that my PAP with them came back abnormal but was not told what that meant. By this point I had already switched to a new OBGYN and had an appointment set. I asked if the results could be sent to my new doctor and they told me I HAD to come in to their office to get my results. Overall, it seemed very unprofessional. Between appointments being miscommunicated, to being given the wrong results multiple times, and the way the Doctor interacted with me, I did not feel comfortable. After my first appointment, the doctor spoke to me as if I had already miscarried. I ended up miscarrying 2 weeks later however, I never felt like the doctor comforted me or made me feel excited about being pregnant. Dr. Khan is the best I just love Her, She is very good about listening to her patients and making us feel special. I leave feeling that she really does care about what she does and about me. I am so very satisfied with my care at this office. Dr. Khan listens and understands. She performed my hysterectomy with such care and concern. I am so grateful for her and her staff for being so amazing. Some reviews have complained of waiting. At times I have had to wait, but I was able to get right in when I had an emergency. This is the nature of gynecology and obstetrics, things happen at inconvenient times. I was more impressed by the fact that I have never felt rushed there, that I could explain what was going on and how I was feeling, and I knew I was being listened to and taken seriously. Dr. Khan is an amazing doctor, her staff is kind and caring. Sometimes you may have to wait in a comfortable waiting room, but she is very well worth it. read more

Dr. Kanwal Khan is not only the most caring but a highly educated and kind hearted professional that I have ever come across in the history of my visits to many doctors I know across the globe. She was very gentle and very quick when needed her supervision. I would never choose anyone else over Dr. Khan as she has won my vote for life. And honestly speaking I am very picky when it comes to doctors and their knowledge. She helped my wife and I with delivering our first child and she will never be forgotten. Dr. Khan has been a blessing to me and my husband. I first saw Dr.Khan for a myomectomy to have my fibroids removed. Prior to scheduling my appointment I was very scared. Dr. Khan explained to me thoroughly what she would have to do and what the procedure was like. Long story short I had the procedure September 2016. Everything went well and I was fibroid free. Thanks to Dr. Khan, I got pregnant November 2016. Very fast. I delivered a bouncy baby boy on 8/4/17 by Dr. Khan. She is a blessing!!
