Just a bunch of amateurs running a shit place in which engines and transmissions are laying around in mud, cars are on top of each other, doors are piled up full of scratches. Not to mention coming from far and they telling you that parts are available and in good condition and when you there they say to you that they are not available. Upon I insisted to double check they said they have the car with the parts I needed and to go and check the condition before I make a decision. Contacted Global Auto and staff gave me the run around. I ask to speak to Joe, and he denied the issues with the engines. I observed that he has the engines in the open not protected from the elements. I elected to purchase the engine else ware and requested my money back. Joe said no money back just credit. Joe is a Lier and a cheat and should not be trusted. He is selling damaged parts to the public and then does not honor his own policies of giving a refund. I will be contacting the attorney general about his business practices. He is a thief.

I rarely use AP Euro outside of my tea times with the Queen of England. Anyhow, the kids at the high school I teach at are awesome as is their auto teacher, and they do all my oil changes and whatnot and save me mucho dinero. So what I do is order the parts I need, and they fix it! This is where CarQuest comes in. I wasn't exactly sure what parts I needed, but I had an idea... something about an idler tension pulley on the a/c belt. Or something like that. Over the phone, Roderick was extremely friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions, ordered a part just in case I decided I needed it, and got me all taken care of by the time I arrived at the store. When I got there he knew exactly what I needed, knew all about my particular vehicle, and gave me suggestions. I bought a belt, tensioner pulley, idler pulley, and oil filter, all for about $70. Whichever parts I didn't wind up needing I returned, no problem. For friendliness and convenience, CarQuest was awesome and I will absolutely use them again. :)

I went into my local O'Reilly store and the guy on duty didn't hesitate to step out into the freezing parking lot, remove the deadlight (with some difficulty) and put in the new one. No additional charge for services rendered! I'm sure my local auto shop guy would have charged me $100+. Consider me a big fan of the Golf Road, Schaumburg O'Reilly store!!

I dropped my car off at the mechanic this morning and they call me back this afternoon and tell me that they are the wrong parts so I had them order the parts for me. What a freakin hassle. This is the third time this has happened. The first two times I took the parts back to exchange them for the correct parts but with no discount. I feel like this is done intentionally so you are then forced to buy their parts. I will never shop there again.
