This was the first ever escape room I had ever done. I thought it was a cool concept. But it was literally just metal safes strewn about a bland room. In the safes were PAPER clues. It was less than immersive and might be something you could make yourself. It was not challenging enough as well. Only good thing that came out of this was that I realized that my ex who I went with at the time lacks any kind of logic to make it through even an escape room like this. read more

This was my first time doing an Escape Room and seeing as there aren't any other reviews, what the heck, I'll put my 2 cents in. So my friend is really into Escape rooms and for her milestone birthday she asked a bunch of us to do one with her. Definitely make a reservation first. I saw folks being turned away who didn't have one. This escape room is located near Sears, inside Buckland Hills mall. The set up and staffers were very professional and even though they don't have a public restroom the staffers let 5 of my party of 8 in to use their bathroom (pretty nice of them!!). We pre-selected Escape From Alcatraz with a difficulty rating of 1-3 (all this means is there are technically 3 chances/levels to "escape". I was surprised at how much information was presented to us to figure out our plan. There was a wall with over 20 mug shots and TONS of information on each shot to dig through (offenses, locations of prisons, lots of dates). The room also had various metal boxes with various types of locks on them. Mostly the hour was spent opening the locks. I was hoping to have sort of a MacGyver experience where we had to figure out something other than 4 digit combos and that's why I didn't give this place 5 stars. It was kind of boring, not thrilling at all. It was only $20 per person and I guess that's a cheap way to spend an hour but it really wasn't for me. If I were to ever do another escape room I wouldn't do this one unless they changed up the format and made it more interesting. read more

Came here for a girls night and had a blast!! We did the Sherlock Holmes room and it was difficult but we were able to finish it within the timeframe. The staff was friendly and you can tell they love what they do. There were 6 of us and they said the room would have fit 8, but i think it would have been a bit tight. My only advice would be to consider getting multiple rooms depending on your party size. Can't wait to come back and try a different theme! read more

This is not an immersive escape room, which the employees made clear to us even before we booked the room. It's essentially a puzzle room with the puzzles being 4-5 slightly different kinds of locks. We did Treasure Island (level 1/3) with 2 people on a whim and were able to make a reservation for the next time slot with no issues. The employees were through in explaining the different kinds of locks. Note: instead of having a way to contact them or having a screen which displays hints, an employee will pop in every once in a while and drop hints if asked. I'm not sure how they determine the frequency at which they stop by...We technically finished the room (both level 1 and 3), however we weren't sure what our actual time was because our time was reset after they discovered that one of their locks were broken (we had the right combo but neither us or the employee could get the lock to open on the spot). Aside from the mishap of the broken lock, we still enjoyed our time in the escape room, but I'd most likely would not come back. Pros: Its relatively cheaper than most escape rooms that I have been too, but that also says something about the quality. It's a good way to kill time if you need something to do. Likewise, you won't put in a room with strangers. Cons: While I don't mind that it's not immersive, I wish there were more variety in the puzzles. Also, the decor is not as detailed as most of the others escape rooms you might come across, so I'd keep expectations low. read more

We had an awesome experience at All In Adventures! We took my son and his friends here for his 10th birthday party. We did the level 1 Black Ops room. We were not sure of this would be too easy and my wife and I were hanging out, just in case. Well this was the toughest level 1 room and my wife and I were totally drawn in. The people who worked there were knowledgeable and friendly. The kids had an amazing time. Though we could not solve the puzzle in 50 minutes, we worked as a team and had so much fun. One of the best things was that this place had one of the best prices around. Maybe we will go with some adults next time. I highly recommend the experience. read more

Compared to some other escape rooms that I have done, this one misses the mark. We had a party of 9 people and did the Escape from Alcatraz room. It was one room, felt like all the clues had to do with reading things on cards or the walls. It was mostly opening number and word locks without any variety. It kept us all busy but wasn't too exciting. Not much variety, no hidden things, no different rooms and not that many puzzles or fun twists. The worst part was when we asked for a clue and it took forever to get it. The guy running the room seemed pretty unprepared, didn't know what had solved or not and had to double check things outside the room and come back to make sure they gave us correct info. The clues were not worth watching the guy scan the room to think about what to tell us and wasting time on the clock. When we finished with plenty of time left, the door opened but the clock kept going and going. The organizer outside the door didnt even confirm we finished after we answered the questions. And the clock still kept going. There's definitely room for improvement for this escape room. Not sure how they keep track of top groups when our time never got recorded or stopped. This is my very first time doing an escape room. So I didn't know what to expect but after hearing other people experiences, I had a few ideas what is was going to be. This place was not any of those things. I thought it was going to be an exciting multiple room adventure and that wasn't the case. We were locked in one room (Escape From Alcatraz) with a few clues and we spent most of the hours going back and forth unlocking boxes with different types of combinations. Initially it was fun but as the hour progressed I just got bored with the whole thing. My friends and I did the Alcatraz room last week. I have done six other escape rooms prior to this one and this is BY FAR the worst one. This escape room doesn't even deserve one star. The facility didn't even have ceilings. We could hear other people in their rooms. We could hear the gross game master hacking up a lung (right in the middle of this whole coronavirus situation so that was extra disgusting). The room looked like it could be recreated with $50. It was just a decal of a jail cell on a wall, a cot with a mannequin head and Party City wig. The "puzzles" were just a series of boxes with clip art of what they were supposed to be. Each box had a lock that was slightly different. In each box there were laminated clues that were useless. We kept having to buzz the game master in for clues. That's another thing. Actual escape rooms have cameras and some sort of microphone system to communicate to the game master. This place had a button to page the game master and you had to sit there and wait until she came. And when she got to us her clues weren't even helpful. One time we had to press the button four times before she came, wasting at least 2 minutes of the 45 minutes we were allotted. If you still somehow want to do this escape room, make sure you read up on Cold War history, you need it to solve the only non-lock puzzle in the room. If you're looking for a super mediocre and underwhelming experience then this is the spot! Otherwise, save your time and money. read more

This was my second time at an example room, but first time at All In Adventures. My younger sister, dad, and I come to the Buckland Hills mall quite often, so we decided to go here and see the escape room. The escape room we picked was the Treasure Island Room. We had a really good time and we wouldn't have made it out of the room without the help of each other. When you first walk into the room, it does not look like it would be challenging, but trust me, it is. I think anyone over the age of 10 would have a really good time with there friends and family. Escape room was very mediocre. The room itself was very small and not interesting. Puzzles were relatively hard. The attendant working wasn't the most pleasant. The timer ran out and no one came to get us so we just wandered the halls and then pressed the buzzer on the door to notify her we were done. Overall wouldn't recommend, kind of a waste of time. I've been to other escape rooms that had multiple rooms and very large well thought out sets. And this just doesn't cut it for me. read more

My husband and I took four 9 year old boys to the Black Ops adventure and although it was very challenging we managed to "escape" with a lot of help from the staff and extra time. The staff was very attentive and helped us move along when we got stuck. We were allowed to continue even though we ran out of time because no one was booked after us. It was much more satisfying to finish and all of the kids had a blast and were talking about the next one they wanted to do. This was for my son's birthday so we paid for all the kids and it was an expensive party but I would recommend it to any of my friends as a good activity to keep the kids off of an electronic device and using their brains to solve problems. I really enjoyed it too. We also got a souvenir photo emailed to us to remember the event which was a nice bonus. I'll definitely go back and I want to try it without the kids next time. read more

Ive been to a lot of escape rooms and this one is nothing like the rest, it is very unprofessional and the employees are beyond RUDE. We choose this for my friends birthday thinking it would be a fun thing to do, boy were we wrong, here birthday was ruined. The second we got there to check in maybe 5 mins before our actual reservation time, we were completely ignored and when the employee acknowledged us he told us "yeah it's not 6:05 yet" it's not like we were even looking to get in our room early, just wanted to make sure they knew we were there. Once we got in the room, EVERYTHING IS SMALL AND CHEAP. I have bathrooms bigger then these rooms. Mind you it was $165 dollars for this small tiny room for only 50 mins not even an hour. Once we completed the puzzle, we were told we get a complimentary picture, which we thought was nice but once we took the picture my friend was blinking so we asked to take another one quickly, the employee laughed in our faces and said yeah not gonna happen, you guys need to leave. I am so ashamed to have even spent money here, and unless their costumer service gets stepped up, I will never be back and recommend others don't either. read more

After playing numerous times from the app I thought it must be kinda same here also but it was the other way round . I chose to play the super hero adventure as it is my son's all time fav but I realized at the end it was the most difficult one of all the games even for level 1 . As we wait at the reception they give us a sheet of rules and then we can choose whichever theme we want . For some or all (I'm not sure) games we need to make appointments but we went on Sunday afternoon and they accepted walk ins as the games were available. We are given 50 mins for level 1&3 and incase of help in the middle we can press the button on the door . But both level 1 and 3 were in the same room only and I think for 2 and 4 they have other rooms too . As far the game is concerned it's pretty hard to find the clues and sometimes it's confusing too . There is a blue print kept inside each unlocked boxes which is the key to the next step . I can't tell the whole set of clues for this game as that will break the suspense and thrill so shhhhh . I think the treasure hunt is comparatively easy and I will take my kids again because they find it very interesting while playing on the phone . But to its contrary these games are very different except the idea of finding the clues and getting the key to next level . On the whole i had an interesting and fun experience with the game . A team of atleast 3-5 would be feasible to find clues and have more fun ! read more

They explained to me that I needed to choose both the game and day/time to get the gift card. My friends and I are escape room junkies, and so when it came to one of our birthdays, we were certainly looking for a place to do one. Some of us recently moved to the Manchester area, so it made sense to go to a local and nearby place. I also live in the area and have passed by this place many times before I started doing escape rooms thinking it would be an interesting experience. Well, it was certainly interesting. We "chose" the Alacatraz room since it was not only the only one available for that time slot (you don't really choose, you choose which time you go and from there you get whatever happens to be in that time slot) and you would think Alacatraz would be this awesome escape-from-prison heist. It wasn't. You walk into the room which has one large wall decal of prison bars, and the rest are just poorly printed posters that contained some clues. In the corner of the room was a cot with a random mannequin head and a cheap wig to make it look like a prisoner. All of the clues had bad text printed over a poorly stretched picture of whatever "location" it was found in, and most of the "locations" you had to go to were just poorly printed prison locations on a locked steel box, my favorite part of which some had "guards", which were just poorly drawn pic art printed and put in front of the "location" you were trying to get into. The clues were inconsistent where sometimes the keyword would carry over into two locks and other times it wouldn't, and the hints that the GM gave were sometimes just not helpful at all. Also - if you're planning on going on to the more difficult Level 3 puzzles, make sure you brush up on general history since some of the clues might require you to know an escape method that prisoners used during the cold war. All in all, this place MIGHT be a nice time for children or first-time escape roomers, but if you're an adult looking to try something new, do yourself a favor and find the real thing. read more

I've done several Escape Rooms in the area and I prefer the rooms with clear-cut puzzles that are either right or wrong. Unfortunately, All In had a lot of puzzles with grey area that forced you to think outside of the box for unrelated solutions to puzzles.
