My friends and I booked a reservation the day of & we are so glad we did! I'm so sorry I forgot the gentleman's name but he was super awesome from beginning to end! My favorite part of the whole experience was after the game when he gave us a card with "memorable quotes" that we said throughout the game. It was hilarious to hear our reactions & thinking process. None of the other escape rooms we've attended had that, so it was a nice personal touch. He was very kind, funny, & patient with us. There is a locker to hold your stuff. Everything was clean. The game itself was awesome. I also love that it was more than one room. There are some surprises features that I won't ruin, but overall a great time!! We decided on Son of the Zodiac (or something along those lines haha), which we ended up discovering was the second to hardest room! It was awesome. We will be definitely returning to try Podunk (the hardest one). We have been to many escape rooms & this is easily one of the best! Can't wait to come back!

Not gonna lie, I wasn't sure what I was expecting. I give a shout-out to Meg for being an AMAZING worker for fitting us in last minute on a Friday date! As a MA resident, I've never been to Sturbridge or Southbridge before but this is a GEM. Although going in gave the impression of a small dainty family home. It's so much more, perhaps a dream come true when the magic happens from room to room. Shoutout to the game master as well for being so nice and the small hints as well who had us, the escape room isn't what you expect and the interaction is almost surreal with the witty jokes. 5/5 would come back, worth every dollar, and utmost satisfaction from start to finish! I recommend this to anyone (but bring me along too please!) :D

My team of three completed Son of the Zodiac on March 5th. Combined we have completed 21 escape rooms, and this is by far one of our favorites. The room was completely immersive and creative with challenging puzzles. We are always fans of multi-room play! The room is definitely made to make you uncomfortable as part of the atmosphere (scary, dark, confined, wet, smelly), so I would choose one of their other great rooms if that doesn't appeal to you. We did run into a problem where the last room was not reset from the previous team, but this was remedied right away by our game master. He pushed us back a room so he could reset and gave us back time lost because of this. I think something very unique they do here is that our game master wrote down "memorable moments/quotes" which gave us all a good laugh. Our game master was the owner and we had the opportunity to talk to him after we escaped. We learned that they design and build all of their own rooms, which is so impressive. We would definitely recommend visiting Escape the Pike!

What a whimsical room! We just did Wonderland Revisited and it was so much fun. Really cute set…read moredesign and props. Our only regret is that we weren't able to do it in person. Great variety of puzzles with a fun theme. Perfect for teams of 3-4. Puzzles were medium level difficulty. We also did Watson's Revenge which was full of clever puzzles, fun reveals and unique locks. Definitely have experienced players on your team as this one is pretty challenging. 4+ teammates is good for this one. Lastly, we did 13th Floor which was luckily not a scary room, just a slightly creepy theme. Really enjoyed the puzzles and riddles in this one as well as the interactive elements. 3-5 is good for this one. Puzzles are medium to hard difficulty. Rave reviews for the fun game master. The inventory/closeup system for the virtual/remote rooms were a bit tricky to juggle but allowed us to divide and conquer.

We came to do one, but the experience was pretty heavy for the group, and the great staff there let us change to a room that was better suited to our group, right on the fly! We ended up doing "King Arthur's Quest" and Sean, our gamemaster, did a great job at keeping us moving! A lot of fun and keep us occupied for an hour! We will definitely come back for other challenges! If you are thinking about coming, a word from the now-wise: pay heed to the challenge rating (PG, PG-13, etc.). And don't be afraid to ask questions about the challenge when you have your pre-meeting. If you are afraid of the dark - ASK! your gamemaster if the room is going to be dark. If you have to switch escape rooms based on your comfort factor, do it, you'll be glad you did. Thanks again Sean!

We visited Escape Game Worcester and played their "Fallout" room…read more THE STORY It is the year 1977. In front of us stood a fallout shelter, which is the last few remaining standing buildings after US was attacked in a Nuclear war. We had no choice but to explore what was inside... HIT THE BULLSEYE -The entryway to the room was a great mood setter for what was about to come. We always enjoy that extra touch. -Once we entered, the dim light and set design immediately captured our attention. Some props used were from that era and that really pulled us more into the story. -The game flow was great. Since this wasn't a linear room, we were able to explore separately and still come together for the important pieces of the puzzles later. -A "centerpiece" of the room became our favorite challenge to solve. It created that last moment of "urgency" we all yearn for in an escape room and gave us that final satisfied feeling when we completed the task. MISSED THE MARK -There were a few places that we thought we were going to be "surprised" with more than meets the eye, but that could also just be our selfish desire for wanting more. -One puzzle was hard to visualize for us but we were still able to be solve it using deduction. TAKE A SHOT? If you love a little exploration, discovery, and excitement, you'll want to try this room out. We were able to escape with just the two of us, but it's best recommended to go with at least 3 people. We can't wait to journey back for their other adventures.

We did "The Heist" (which I think is one of their easier rooms) with a group of 8 people--7 adults and one kiddo. The rooms themselves are really elaborate and I was surprised by how advanced all the tech was. There were so many different kinds of creative puzzles, and they were challenging enough to keep us on our toes but not so difficult that it got frustrating. You get as many hints as you need, with no penalty for using them. Your guide watches via camera and jumps in to help as needed, but we only ended up needing one minor hint the whole time. We finished in about 45 minutes of the available hour. I think a big part of that was having a bunch of grown ups in the room, it might be difficult for an all-kid crew, but maybe that's where the hints come in! I noticed that on the website some of the rooms (particularly during busy times) are "Shared" games, so if you don't want to be paired with strangers, make sure you fill your whole game! The person running our game was so nice (I think his name is Anthony!), making sure we understood how everything worked and joking around with us before and after we finished. All in all we had a great time, I would 100% come back!
