BE CAUTIOUS! I went to Deems to purchase whole solid wood cabinets to replace cabinets which were…read more12 years old and the particle board shelf supports failed causing catastrophic failure. I assumed with their rating I would have any issues. I went in with my wife told Jeff numerous times do NOT show me any cabinets with even an ounce of MDF or particle board-,and my wife said I embarrassed her by doing this, . We paid our initial deposit of 10.5 thousand. The day comes when the cabinets arrived and lo and behold on the second day of installation, but what did I see- shelf supports that were laminated particle. What disgust. Jeff responded the supports were particle board but were made so they would not fail- what a joke. I refused to allow them to install these shelf supports. In addition, I identified shelves that were missing, provided shelf had obvious scalloped defect and 4 inch groove, glass was absent, and the company was originally unwilling to repair the holes in the walls caused by the old cabinetry removal. I made a list but felt Jeff was being unresponsive, so I went to the warehouse. When I identified the issues, I inquired why did the quality control person not identify these issues. The spokesman stated they were too busy to have anyone do any QC on inbound shipments. If it was not for Bubba, the company would have ended with a 2 star review. In the following weeks, Bubba had the shop fabricate the missing shelves and the shelf supports from plywood. Jeff tried to say we needed to order additional shelves for the pantry cabinet that they were not included in the $21,500 cabinets we purchased-I guess people just order the box and the cabinet beside the kitchen cabinet did not require a shelf. I repaired the holes in the wall myself- wanted to know the backsplash was mounted on a solid surface! BLUFF(bottom line up front) I paid the extra monies to have no headaches- the same system from Lowes was approximately 6 k cheaper. I wish to thank Bubba for fixing the issues but my advice is to go to Lowes- easier to resolve any issues.

They left it to us to get all the measurements and layout. We aren't carpenters. So we did a search for cabinet businesses and we checked out Wood Kitchen and Bath, LLC. Oh my gosh we wished we had skipped all the struggle with the other cabinet company. Wood K & B made everything simple and worked with us when we changed our minds on colors. They came out and measured and measured again when we had question. They came when they said they would. If we had questions they answered them all. They have beautiful cabinets and countertops to choose from. They couldn't have been nicer to work with. Quality is everything and that's what we got. BIG THANK YOU to Bill Tiedemann. Our kitchen, laundry/pantry room and bathroom are amazing looking. THANK YOU WOOD KITCHEN & BATH. THANK YOU Bill & Sunni

My suggestion is to be aware!

One of the inside projects was a patch job done after plumbers changed out some fixtures. Tyler's team was able to match the texture of the surrounding wall and blend the paint in such a way as to hide the fact that the wall was ever patched. The paint on the exterior French doors has held up wonderfully, even after multiple washings. Their prices were reasonable, they were on time, and they completed the job well in a timely manner. Would (actually will soon) hire again.

He also never showed up, as promised, to take care of the numerous issues with the drywall repairs we paid extra for, nor the numerous problems with paint runs, sections that missed getting painted, and so forth. I had to hire another contractor to redo most of the drywall repairs, and sand and repaint large sections. We picked Tyler because we were in a hurry, and relied on the fact that he was named Best of the Best by the Citrus Chronicle. What a mistake! To begin with, NO contractors step on my property without first sending me Proof of Insurance, both liability, and Workmen's Comp. Hopefully this will mean if they break something they won't try to cover it up and deny it. Looks like it is time for small claims court. Well, the response from Tyler is not accurate. He assured me he would come out and meet with me, not only about the headboard, but also about the repairs still needed in the drywall, and the painting deficiencies. He was a no show, and no call. I had to hire another contractor to complete the painting and drywall repair. The tiling contractor never touched the bed, he came and got us immediately to show us it was broken before he began working. Whether you felt I was "Giving you the benefit of any doubt" or not, you still should have shown up to fix your painting and drywall deficiencies.
