Not only did they find us a Treatment Center but they also made sure that the Center took our Insurance & gave the new Center all our info so that they would already be up to date on what issues are needed to be helped with. I've read some of the 1 star reviews here and all I know is that if the folks at Meadowglade helped us the way they did, without us even being a patient - Then how could anyone say that it isn't a place that cared about the happiness and help that is needed by some??? I came here after a failed surgery trying to get off of opiates they left me for 30 hours without any medical support or medication they claim to offer detoxification but they only offer it Monday through Friday because weekends there are no available doctors or nurse practitioners And may I say not even doctors there's only nurse practitioners that you can call and talk to they claimed to offer a detoxification, but they don't,NO DOCTOR ONLY NURSE PRACTITIONERS . They told me a doctor would be available Monday through Friday. Only a nurse practitioner WAS AVAILABLE TO CALLcould be called over the weekend. They promised a 24 hour nurse doctor. None of that was true. They promised 24 hour chef. None of that was true. The chef provides no breakfast. He only provides lunch and he leaves a dinner for us to warm up for later. I'm not complaining about the chef. He is a very nice man and Karen one of the therapist. There is a wonderful lady. She really does care about patients. The conditions were unacceptable at this treatment center there were blood stains on all the sheets there were stains throughout everywhere. The bathrooms were dirty. Everything was dirty. They only have someone come in deep clean every two months.. I was forced to Detox in a shared room with a roommate who kept the TV blasting until midnight watching crime murders horrific TV shows that only added to my PTSD and in no way would she turn it down on a high volume because of her hearing I have never been to a treatment center where they placed you in withdrawal with another person in your room without proper medical care supervision or even a therapist even the Uber driver who picked me up said I was the third person that was leaving early because of how bad this place is that says everything the center should not even be allowed to operate What they are doing feels both unsafe and unlawful vulnerable people deserve real help not false promises and neglect there are plenty of other places that provide proper treatment and care please for your own safety look elsewhere. I rarely write reviews. This may be my fourth review ever and I'm 45 years old, but I feel strongly care about people trying to overcome addiction.i truly believe in karma I truly hope this message reaches anyone who is struggling and searching for the right help. the last 30 hours that I was there was a complete horror that I will never forget and I wish upon no one that this happens please there are so many other treatment centers that don't offer false promises and lies. From the moment you drive…read moreup to the facility, walk into the building and go to your assigned room, you can see the building is very well taken care of and nicely decorated. This is important as it shows their attention to detail. In the room, there is a lovely armoire for every patient to use for their belongings along with a nightstand, hospital bed and tray. The armoire is much nicer and larger than the usual small closet you find in most facilities. The true star of the facility are the employees. The CNA's are always quick to respond and provide you with the service you need. The LVN's who dispense the medication are equally quick to help and all of them have kind words along with words of encouragement for each patient. Unfortunately, I have been in numerous facilities and non of them compare. OakView is fine tuned and runs very smoothly. Administrative staff checks on the patients frequently to make sure all needs are met. Treatment plans are prepared by medical staff. And the social worker is very kind and extremely helpful in taking care of the patient while on the premises but also after they leave OakView. She even called me two days after my release from OakView to check on me and to see if there was any additional needs I had. I was extremely impressed by this as I had never had this happen before. Never was there a social worker that did a third of the work this woman did let alone follow through and show she cared every step of the way. OakView feels like a resort with medical assistance, not a skilled nursing facility. The food is excellent and if it's not to your liking, the chef is willing to prepare something that meets your desires. No other facility I know of does that. If and when I need to be in a skilled nursing facility again, I hope I am blessed to be able to find a room at OakView. I highly recommend it. P.S. They also have an assisted living facility.

The setting is incredible -- beautiful houses, exercise equipment, pools, jacuzzis, and so many community resources. They even take you on outings to the Pacific Ocean to watch sunsets -- and yes, you *will* see dolphins! From the residential program to the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), every detail is thought through. The Santa Monica Mountains surround you, and the views are so breathtaking you can sit for hours just taking it all in and really feel yourself start to heal. The food is next level too -- they have a private chef who customizes meals to fit your diet and treatment needs, with tons of healthy options. And unlike most places, you get both individual and group therapy *every day*. That's almost unheard of at a residential program -- usually you're lucky to get one or two individual sessions a week. The wait times for getting help is very unreasonable- 45 min to use the bathroom is unacceptable. My dad came out of there worse off than when he arrived - during his stay he contracted a very contagious infection and came home with an undocumented ulcer, which has to be treated by a wound care specialist. The rooms are very old- 3 people to a room and 6 people using one bathroom, bathrooms are not sanitized between uses. 1 shower in the hallway, nurse couldn't tell my father if it had been cleaned and sanitized before they wanted him to use it, so he refused. I highly suggest you check out this facility before sending a loved one there.
