First, when we called, Mike, the owner, he patiently explained the different types of ties over the phone. And then, when we showed up to buy them, he explained some more. Although he could not cut up the size of ties we wanted for us, he encouraged us to bring our own saw and cut them up ourselves, and supplied a power cable. He also explained about the best screws to use for installation, which Mahopac supplies, and what kind of drill he recommended (1/2 inch corded). We installed the ties without a hitch and Mahopac Railroad Tie were greatly responsible. MRT rules!

Not only were they about $1,000 less expensive than the other companies we looked at, they were very friendly and accommodating. When our kitchen cabinets and our master bathroom vanity were installed and it was time for the countertops, they were able to come measure, and create the perfect countertops in less than a week! And I say perfect countertops because everything was AMAZING! They were able to cut one piece to fit around the corner!! Everything fit exactly to measurements! And they even matched up the veins in the quartz so that it looks like it flows from the island across to the wall cabinets! But the master vanity is the most incredible of all. We ordered a backsplash with it for the 2 sides with a wall, and they surprised us by matching the backsplash piece to exactly match the countertop in terms of the stone's patterns!!! We have been in the home improvement business for over 40 years and have never seen that kind of perfectly matching stone before! BUYER BEWARE! One of the worst experiences with a business I…read morehave ever had. I wish I could give ZERO stars, but I had to give it one as Yelp only gives me that option. Another 'licensed' plumbing service installed a water purification device on a my cousins home in Mahopac and not only left a flooded mess, but left the job with 5 dangerous violations and believe it or not, the house with the ground wire hanging and attached to nothing. This is a potentially serious fire hazard and the company should have known that. Pipeline USA was called to fix the problems the first plumber left. Photo's of the job were shown to Pipeline owner Ed and he agreed that the previous plumber did in fact leave a dangerous and botched job and it was very dangerous. After a price was negotiated, Ed agreed to get right over there and take care of it. He seemed like a great guy, but it was all a lie... A few days went by and no Ed. I called to say, "Hello Ed, the house still has no ground and no one has called or stopped by." Two days later...still no Ed, so another message was left. Two days after that...still not word from Ed and now the office doesn't answer or return calls. It is now 9 days that we have not heard from the owner of a company who promised a quick response and repair, and the house is still in the dangerous situation that was left. Both of these companies are the most negligent and disrespectful companies I have ever dealt with. The pure ignorance and arrogance is obvious, which is surprising as one doesn't know how to do plumbing and the other is just disrespectful and negligent. With all the great plumbers in the Mahopac area....whatever you do...do not even think of either of these, or you may be either getting a botched job or worse...no one ever showing up. Need more details on this...I'm even willing to post my number. 917 533-6202...and I'll not only tell you more about this clown...I'll tell you who the other plumber was... BUYER BEWARE!
