Separately, I used them for plumbing, specifically replacing a sink faucet, repairing a garbage disposal, and repairing a leaky shower fixture. I was very pleased with this service as well. Especially the garbage disposal because all it needed was a minor turn of a crank to loosen it up instead of a full replacement, which saved me a significant amount of money. I will never use them again. I now have to pay for something that should have been covered under my home warranty.

When I called, they would've had a technician available to come out that day, but with the incoming thunderstorms, they wanted to stay safe and postpone to the next day. Their technician Bill texted me the night before and in the morning to let us know when we would be arriving at our house. He was able to diagnose the issue quickly and had our AC back up and running in under an hour. It could've been less but we had a wasp nest in the bushes near the AC unit that he had to deal with (sorry Bill!). The price was fair, and to be honest, I thought it was going to be higher than it was. In this heat though, it was definitely worth it no matter the price; it was getting up to 80 degrees in the house! In all, I'd recommend VA Air to those looking for AC solutions. My situation; 6 year old house bought new and kept good care with routine maintenance to all my appliances. AC started giving me issues and not running properly. Dave came over and completed a extensive inspection of the system and began troubleshooting finding a bad A coil and some leakage from the outside unit. Unfortunately I was under the old gas which is quite expensive and faced buying new parts for a outdated system or purchasing a new unit and coil. I contacted a few other places getting opinions and quotes to which Gainesville HVAC having the best unit to offer for the price. Installation day which was well planned, Dave and his associate arrived on time with the new equipment and began work. They laid out mats thought out the house and wore foot covers during the course of work. After my lines were flushed they began installing the new equipment which looks very professionally done, (looks better than the original install to me). Dave did mention I would notice a change with the new gas type and I do, the unit runs less and my house keeps cooler for longer, ( I didn't make any insulation changes). I received all warranty papers on the new equipment with in two days. I live in Gainesville off Linton hall rd. Luckily we got 2 more estimates. The second company repaired and cleaned our heat pump for $225. Technician stated this did not need replacing. Scamming an 80 year old woman. Shame on you. I bet they will state I am not in their system like they have done on a couple reviews that were negative. Hmmmmm Why would we need to contact you ? The heat pump was repaired for $10,750 cheaper than your quote. Next step is to talk to the state so no others are scammed.

John came out and was very straight forward and up front with everything he did. He explained the issue to me, how he would fix it, and even provided some recommendations I may want to do in the future. My second time I used Bluestar was on a Sunday and they are closed on Sunday's. I did not realize this at first and left them a voicemail in the morning. Realizing they were closed I called another company who would have charged me more than Bluestar to come out later that afternoon to look at the problem which was that my Nest Thermostat was giving an E73 error code meaning it was not getting power. To my surprise I received a call from John at Bluestar that afternoon prior to the other HVAC company coming out. I discussed my thermostat issue not getting power with John and he suggested several troubleshooting fixes I could try over the phone. After eliminating several causes of what the problem may be John suggested holding down the front panel cover switch to the unit to see if a power light was coming on. In doing this I noticed sometimes the light would come on and sometimes it would not. There seemed to be a loose connection in the a wire that was causing the switch not to supply power. After playing with the switch for a few minutes I got the power to stay on and the problem was fixed. John solved my problem and saved me a good deal of money as I canceled my appointment with the other HVAC company. John took over 20 minutes talking to me on the phone going above an beyond to help me solve my AC issue on the day the company is closed. I would highly recommend BluStar to anyone and will use them for all my future HVAC needs.
