I had a difficult issue with my whirlpool refrigerator. It would work on than off for several days at a time. The service rep worked with me to best schedule a time when the unit wasn't working. I cancelled and rescheduled the repair several time until finally they could come out when the unit wasn't working. Ten (10) years ago I called All Major Appliance to look at my three year old refrigerator/freezer. As it turned out, I had accidentally placed the control settings improperly. Tony came to my home, diagnosed my problem and only charged me $40. Anyone else could have taken unfair advantage of me; he didn't. Now, In May of 2025, the same Samsung Refrigerator (13 yo) was flooding water onto my kitchen floor. I called AMA and Tony came out, worked for 1 1/2 hours, resolved the problem and charged me a VERY fair price. I received good service and I give AMA my highest recommendation. We had a Bosch gas dryer that we had recently purchased that is virtually new. The folks we bought it from had just moved into a house that does not have gas. It's a great looking high-end dryer that lights up and runs but won't heat. Help! I went to the Bosch website and tracked down a recommended local Bosch repair shop. I called All Major and they scheduled a visit on the day and time that fit our schedule. Jason Daniels arrived on time and when he saw some of the New England Patriots gear all over the place he smiled and told us that one of his buddies at work is a huge Pats fan. We talked a little football and he admitted that he's a bit of a fan too. Good start :-) Josh jumped right in a very quickly determined that the heating element was toast. He did not have the part in his vehicle and would have to order it. He told us that the cost would be $40 and he also suggested that we consider replacing the main switch component while he would be working on it because of potential weakness and for $20 we took his recommendation to do some preventive maintenance. Charged us the minimum for the call and told us he'd call us when the parts were in about 3-5 days and he was off. Following Friday we got a call and they showed up, replaced the part and everything went perfect. We were back to where we needed to be and it was like a new machine. I had a service call June 10,2022. A Whirlpool washer under warranty: 3 parts ordered. Paul was great. He warned me of supply problems and it could be 10 days. Canceled appointments bc 3rd part hadn't arrived; (1) June 17 (2) June 29 (3) July 1 (4) July 5 (5) July 8.. One associate said the part was delivered but couldn't find it. Friday July 8 I called and an associate said the part was shipped June 29.Can't track it bc they can't use or look up the tracking numbers.( ???) Said she'd call Whirlpool to see if the part could be rushed and apologized for no-one calling me. Never heard from anyone again. Monday July 11 I called back. There was still no part. TODAY IS JULY 31. Haven't heard from anyone at all about this missing part or fixing my washing machine. I am well aware there is a supply chain problem. For that reason I was always understanding but what about communication? The staff was friendly and I understand they cant control shipments. I have a dishwasher purchased new in 2019 that stopped working. All Major Appliance is the only service provider in the area for the manufacturer, and they act like they know they are your only option. I explained my issue on the phone, and they scheduled an appointment for a week later. When the tech arrived, repeated the description of the issue, and the tech immediately said that we needed to order a couple of parts without even looking at the dishwasher itself. So, they could have ordered the parts after the initial phone call, but they wasted a week instead. The tech said that it would probably take 3-5 days for the parts to come in and to call if I hadn't heard anything in a week. After a week, I called them to check on the delivery timeline, and they tell me that the parts order has not even been submitted yet, and it will take anywhere from 3 days to 5 weeks to get them. There was no apology for the mistake or even an acknowledgement that they had made one. If your appliance's warranty does not require you to work with this company, pick anyone else. If it were possible to award zero stars, I would have chosen that option. Whirlpool sent these clowns out to service my out of manufacturer warranty refrigerator, for which the door panel ice and water dispenser were not working. The service tech spent about 2 minutes poking around before he announced that my entire freezer door panel would need to be replaced and that i would be better off buying a new fridge, then charged me $97.23 for his time. A couple weeks later my father visited, investigated the issue himself, and was able to discover that a connecting wire behind the panel had disconnected. From there it took 2 seconds to reconnect and again have a fully operational water and ice dispenser. All of my efforts to contact the company since then have been unsuccessful, and I get an automated message saying that the Verizon user is unavailable. I am not sure that this "company" is actually still in business, but if they are, STAY AWAY!! read more

Had an appointment for Wednesday between eight and 12 called them at noon they said the service man got tied up- They said they would reschedule for the next day I agreed. Nobody showed. This company is awful, they fail to correctly identify the issue with my fridge an have had 2 different technicians come out to service this fridge. Both technicians ordered the wrong parts then when you call them they wont answer because now they exposed my house to covid. I have filed complaints to bbb regarding their mal practices and for them taking 7 months an still not fixing my fridge. This is where legal action is unfortunately needed because they dont care. Whirlpool should not let them work on their appliances either because of this shady business practices. Called them after lightning struck our relatively new dishwasher. They were able to get a technician out within a day or two to diagnose. Despite being the only authorized Bosch technician in the area, they don't actually keep any of the circuit boards in stock so plan on waiting a week for parts to arrive. Once it came in, technician got it installed flawlessly and was able to bill the parts as a warranty repair. Labor was still pretty expensive, but it got the job done. read more

17 month old whirlpool refrigerator out of manufacturer's warranty. tech out & looked inside refrigerator & freezer & said 3 parts & labor $780.00. parts ordered, did not come, did arrive, lost, misplaced, back ordered. what a mess. was told several tales about parts for a few weeks. very incompetent person....... finally tech came back & replaces 2 parts, not the 3 he initially said was needed. tech was here about 15 minutes for repair. parts cost & service fee way too high. was without refrigerator/freezer over 5 weeks. no one cares, not all major appliance, nor whirlpool. (I made several calls to whirlpool for assistance.) lost all food from refrigerator & freezer. am elderly, live alone, and am greatly seeing impaired. no one cares...... I do not recommend this company. would give ZERO stars. BUYER BEWARE! and on top of all that, yes, they charge sales tax! can you believe? Connor hung up on me when I was explaining how unacceptable it was that I was charged for a service that he said would fix the issue. Ashley at the front said the tech had horrible service and that was the excuse as to why he hung up on me. Why would a tech have a phone that had horrible service? How can u make money that way? My experience with this company, was referred by Electrolux the maker of my washer. Called company told them what my issue was and the part I needed. The lady told me there would be a 110.00 diagnostic fee which I did not have a problem with. The gentleman came took a look at washer, yep what I thought was the problem indeed was the problem. Part was 190.00, 80.00 labor then the 110.00, plus tax for 417.00 dollars. I was under the assumption ( i know, i know) had I chosen not to have it repaired I would pay the fee, not the case. Best Experience ever with a repair company. My Viking fridge's temperature was high so I called XXX service company who after evaluating advised it had a leak and was not repairable because the leak could be in a section that is not accessible. I called Viking to discuss and they confirmed that if leak was in that section then yes it's not repairable but that leak being there was unlikely and that I should get a second opinion and they recommended All Major Appliance to do this. Technician Chris Robinson came out assessed and planned out a sequence of tests to see if pressure would hold. He scheduled and came back with his boss and additional equipment in case more had to be investigated before deciding on outcome. They added freon and my fridge is back! This is the way we expect on service calls to be done with expertise, equipment and time to get to the right solution based on a solid investigation and what this company did. Refrigerator would not maintain enough cooling for refrigerator. Alarm kept going off as internal temperature was going above 40 degrees. All Major Appliance came over and reset alarm and charged us $95.00 dollars. Called him back but realized that it would be fruitless considering he never actually inspected pressure in lines or compressor itself. He couldn't even figure out how to take off access panel on our built in Amana fridge. Told us fridge was too old and he coudn't make any repairs as a result. We finally found another competent repairman who was trained on Amana/Viking refrigerators and he replaced compressor and metering valve. Fridge now works and saved us a ton of money from buying a new unit. Do yourself a favor and hire someone who has actually been trained by Amana or Viking! read more

I called a week ago, explained my problem and asked if it's something they think they can handle. After being assured, I decided to book them. That's when problems really started. The lady said it would be the following Thursday before anyone could come look (presumably because of the mid-week 4th of July holiday). Given a choice between morning or afternoon, I explained it would have to be late in the afternoon because of my wife's medical condition; she said she'd make a note of it. This morning (Thursday) a call comes in from the service tech; he says he's just getting ready for the day; what's our problem?, he asked. I explained the medical problem to him, gave him the details about the problem and asked a few questions of my own. Shortly before noon, I get a call from the company; the lady said the tech is ahead of schedule and wants to come right away, Whoa, say I, I've been upfront and candid with you about my wife's medical problems; I'm headed out the door right now to bring her home. There was a discussion about how they book their time. So I reviewed with her about discussions I've had with them. In her mind, the only resolution is to book me for another day and time. We now are celebrating a week without benefit of an oven. Somehow, waiting for them to get their act together just doesn't seem to be a very exciting prospect, either. The promised call back to work out a resolution has never come. At the moment I don't have many "warm and fuzzy feelings" toward this outfit. read more

i bought from lowes, huge mistake, a fridge...this company came out 3/17 said bad icemaker, changed and charged me. less than one year later ice maker no good, supposed to have been out last week. called to ck on serviceman, seems part not even ordered and that i would expect a call this past friday, march 2, no call...tho i did not take out warranty on a ref. that i thought would hold up more than 1 year with these items, i was hoping the parts would last at least a year. is this going to be an ongoing issue? make i expect a bill of $250 plus every year? so far i will have over 500 on a ref that i bought new for about 1000. lowes, will do nothing and i don't understand why major will not back the part put in by them less than a year ago. where is this stuff being made, mexico? even worse, why does the american reps have some responsibility on a part that lasts less than one year????????????????loyd shelton read more
