Very disappointed in this company. I was lied to. When you call, you have the sales team answer not the local office. The sales team will tell you everything you want to hear just to get the deposit. They prioritize the sale over the actual move itself. I was told I would get my things the same day (move out date). The sales team guaranteed that the drivers had 14 hours to get my things and make delivery to my new location which was 6 hours away. Sadly, they did not deliver my things the same day. They charged me a hotel fee for the crew since they had to stay overnight. They took their time to have everything delivered the next day. I had a very disappointing experience. I booked a 3-person move for what was supposed to be a 2-hour job, and I was quoted under $400 total, including travel and labor. I confirmed this multiple times before booking--at least three times--and verified the price again the day I paid the deposit. I was also very clear about the scope of work: I would be providing all packing materials, I already had boxes and containers pre-packed, and I needed furniture moved downstairs and loaded onto the truck. Everything was discussed upfront. However, when the movers arrived, I was presented with a bill of over $700 and told the job would take 7 hours. They also added new restrictions that were never disclosed beforehand, such as only moving items already in containers. Because this was completely different from what was agreed to, I canceled the service. I had paid a $100 deposit, and they only refunded $28--keeping $72 despite not performing any work. Based on this experience, this felt like a bait-and-switch situation, and it put me in a very difficult position on moving day. What we were told would be a 400.00 move of small items to a place 4 miles away turned into +1,000.00. We had to pay an hourly rate and a travel rate (double billing) and for tape and shrink wrap ( and they tool what was left over and billed us for it too) and for fuel etc. We were not made aware of all of the EXTRA charges. I verified the cost before placing the deposit. After receiving the bill the mgr. was contacted and he did nothing but argue with everything we said we were charged for that was NOT explained at the time of booking!!! service was great but they were slow packing up, so if your looking for affordable, find someone cheaper...they took 4.5 hrs to load up a queen bed, washer and dryer, and a few other pieces of furniture, that I had already pilled in the living room so they didn't have to go take anything apart. I used AMS in 2012 and had a good experience no damage done on furniture or property. Based on that I recently hired them again earlier this month but the second time my experience has not been good and I will not recommend them. I paid $954 for them to move me with very minimal furniture only 5 miles away. I used them because they were insured thinking I was covered. Their movers caused $1290 in damages to my former home by scraping walls and tearing tile up moving a dryer downstairs. I submitted photos and quote from a contractor to claims. The new owners of my home are very upset and want it repaired. Now AMS claims is refusing to pay the claim in full only offering $275 for damages and I now have to come up with the rest of the money to repair damages at my own expense. I would say if you're moving choose another mover that will stand by their work and take accountability. read more

The crew for our move was outstanding. The treatment by their back office and management team was terrible. Costs are an absolute rip off and are misrepresented at every step. We ended up being charged $857 for a move of ten items. Load and unload was 90 min. They charged us for 3:15. Drive time was 19 min, they charged us an hour at $149 and an $88 fuel surcharge that was not disclosed upfront. The worst part is the price disclosure process. They do not disclose the price before the move but make you sign a document agreeing to pay them whatever they charge before they will unload your goods. To top it off the condescending manager told me that my wife was lying in describing their conversation. I have moved many times and this was the worst experience ever. read more

I had an excellent experience with my moving crew in May. After a horrible experience with a different moving company last year, I was scared to hire movers again but All My Sons did an excellent job. My movers were fast and efficient and did the job right. I never even saw them stop to take a break even though it was a long, hot day of moving! They were focused on getting the job done to not waste anyone's time. Simple local move of two rooms in corpus less than a quarter mile. Took longer than expected. Scratched furniture, walls and floors. Huge dent in the wall. Did not adjust legs on bed when reassembled, so the mattress dropped/sagged. broke a lamp. Stole a tactical flashlight. Will never use this company again. read more

Don't just don't. This company is more of a scam than treating customers with quality service. We hired them for a small two bedroom downstairs apartment. Throughout the week we had been taking boxes ourselves, so there wasn't much . We also thought we would help them by placing everything in the living room to make it easy and fast for them. They quoted me $117 hourly plus 14% for gas. Therefore we wanted to maybe pay an hour and 15 minutes at most. The lady did not mention shrink wrap is $50 for one, Mirror carton for &15(which we took the mirrors and TV's ourselves because of the hefty charge)so what mirrors?, mattress bag for $13. We went 3 miles to our home location and was charged $50 for gas, Labor charge $235. Paid $508 for this small amount of items moved. We did most just left the heavy furniture. 1 bed two dressers and 10 boxes. $508!!! They didn't explain any of this. Got ripped off. I was quoted $150 at the most. And if they damage furniture, they pay 60 cents every 10 pounds it's ridiculous. I feel like pursuing this legally that's how upset we are. read more

We hired them to move our 3 bedroom home to a storage unit- with packing services included for about half of the house (self explanatory: we had managed to pack only half of the house) The movers themselves were great and professional. Moved quickly but took care with delicate items. However, it wasn't communicated to us by any of their staff the cost of certain moving supplies (for example- a special electronics box was upwards of $50!! If they'd asked us we would have just wrapped it instead!!) The surcharge for gas was pricey also (seriously we moved the stuff one block away.) Oh. And initially we'd asked for a crew of TWO. No big deal when THREE showed up at our place in the morning. Of course we paid extra for the extra mover, which (surprise!) wasn't communicated to us either. In the end they wound charging us a little over ***$1500*** bucks to pack up half of our home, load it on to their truck and then move it down the street, to a first floor storage unit. The day of the move they refuse to load the furniture until few items and mirrors were wrapped. I had over fifty boxes ready and the items to be wrapped were part of the contract with them. They were suppose to do this work. Needless to say they refuse to do it. They left and have not returned my down payment or deposit. This is way overdue from when we moved but I'm get so irritated every time I can't find something. We had planned on moving in January but our closing kept getting pushed back because it was a new house. The guy that came to do the inventory gave us the estimate which I thought seemed high but we were getting our whole house packed and moved from Kingsville to Corpus. I was supposed to go over the inventory but for some reason I couldn't get it to work on my phone so I called the guy who did the inventory a few days later and he told me he had covid and to call the office. This is right after he had been in my house without a mask around my kids that were both under 2. This was also when covid was still an issue. Anyway, I looked over the inventory and I made corrections because there were things we weren't taking. When I talked to another guy the week we moved I told him a few more things that were being left. A couch and 2 dressers and he said it was fine and we would figure it out. Well the 4 guys came at around 9 on moving day and I went over what was being left and what we were taking and they started. At some point things got confusing and they kept questioning what they were supposed to take. They said a dresser could be moved in 10 minutes but the contents might take an hour. Even though it was just clothes and the other dresser was super organized. They weren't even going to pack our closets even though we specifically told the guy who did the inventory we wanted the closets packed. Instead of packing, many times they were whispering to each other in the rooms or out in the trucks and made it obvious they were complaining to each other about us. This also made it really uncomfortable because of this. Needless to say they ran out of time and weren't able to move everything if we wanted to be able to sleep in our bed that night. My husband had stayed with them and I had taken our kids to the new house so I didn't know how much had been left. I even bought donuts the next day hoping to smooth things over and try to get rid of the tension. Well we started unpacking after everything was over and first of all, half the boxes were not labeled so we didn't know where anything was and we are still trying to find things like remotes to our TVs. They left so much stuff it took us 2 truck fulls that Saturday to move the rest. I'm not talking about the stuff we asked them to leave, I'm talking about all of my daughters closet with her clothes. Nothing from our linen closet had been packed and so much more. I was so angry but we already paid and I knew they weren't going to so anything about it so I've just kept my mouth shut. Well it been over a month and we are still unpacking because even though we took leave to move and unpack we had to spend part of that moving the stuff the movers didn't pack/move. We've been moved twice through the military and none of our moves were ever this bad even when we got stuff stolen from us on a move. The whole thing was unorganized, sloppy, and very uncomfortable not to mention crazy expensive for the service we recieved that wasn't even completed. Worst service and pricing I have ever had! $1450 for a 1300 sq ft. House. No dining furniture, no fridge, no washer and dryer. Only 2 beds, a couch and a bunch of already packed boxes. These guys charged $154 for gas and $109 for trip charge. This was a 3.4 mile move BTW! Just Mapquested it. They also charged for move time for the same travel time! 3.5 takes 10 minutes and they charged for an hour. $200 for packing material. Her stuff was packed. These guys saw a single woman and would not unload her stuff until she gave them $1500. They are POS. They moved me from San Antonio to Corpus Christi, in that move, they bent my washer and dryer, broke my refrigerator and television. They lost pieces to my bed, forgot to pack a closet and left most of my storage shed behind because the driver said that the estimator did a bad job estimating the load. "Could've been better" is the best description for my experience. Pertinent facts: (1) I called All My Sons to unload a 16 ft moving truck, containing the basic contents of a 1 bedroom apartment. (2) I called them the day before the move. They got me on their schedule the next day w/ 4 movers at the exact time I needed them with zero problems. (3) Four very nice, efficient, strong, and capable men unloaded a 16 ft moving truck to a 10th floor apartment, with Brian managing the entire process kindly and effectively. (4) The entire process took 3 hours total (due to a dreadfully slow elevator + almost 1 hour of which was spent trying to properly reassemble a bed two of the men had taken apart to get it into the apartment). (4a) As a relevant point of comparison, a team of two individuals loaded the same truck in 2 hours. (5) Among the charges was $199 for the moving truck, which played the incredibly important role of transporting the 4 men a distance of less than a mile to then sit parked on the street for three hours while they unloaded my truck. (6) I was asked to take a selfie with the moving crew while they were here and instructed exactly how many stars to include and whose names to include in the message as the foreman stood next to me...it was awkward and I didn't want to say no or make things awkward so I just went along with it. Not my favorite tactic. The best advice I can provide you is, if you do not need them to bring a truck, make certain you tell the admin staff to not bring a truck. I personally also think the move could have been accomplished in the exact same amount of time with 3 men instead of the 4 they sent (and charged for). You will save yourself a lot of $$ if you make sure to advocate for yourself a bit when scheduling the details of the move. I did it last minute and just didn't take the time to think, but if you are reading reviews of moving companies then you've already avoided that snare. Parting thoughts: this is a reputable and competent company who first and foremost goal is to make as much money as they can. If that means charging for a truck to sit idle, sending more men than are needed for the job, and soliciting "Great" Google reviews from customers regardless of their actual experience, they're fine with it. Just negotiate as you schedule and I think you'll be a lot happier with your All My Sons experience than I was. :) read more

The quote that we were given Was very reasonable at the time. We put down a deposit and were informed that this deposit would be applied to fee of the move like gas and materials. The morning of the move they were late, and when they came the guys were very professional and kind but they stated that there we fees associated 16% for gas and another percentage for materials we called the office and talked to Amanda and she confirmed that these fees were paid for with the deposit. Cool the night before the move I had wrapped everything with drawers and doors so they would be safe to move. Not once were we given notice that each piece of furniture was going to be triple wrapped and then unwrapped upon delivery this added an extra 4 hours. We had to call for a third guy because we were 4 hours in and only half of the apartment was packed. If we had been informed that this is how they work and there is a possibility of them adding time due to this we wouldn't have picked this company. So we think the apartment is pack except for a few little things that my wife and I can grab mind you we are racing the clocking trying to get them to move some of this stuff .5 miles down the road. I get a call from my wife they charged us $1600.00 that we had to pay before they would continue to unload some of our stuff so now the movers have been ordered to stop moving things until we pay and Stephen told my wife that if we didn't pay it would go to a warehouse until the amount was paid, we had been quoted 5hrs max at $99/hr for two guys. It took them 8 hours to move a two bedroom apartment, we did have things go to storage guess how long that took 30 mins to unload. So after all of the tears and everything we go back to apartment and what do we find a large number of things that were supposed to be moved and I know they moved them around like my sons dresser and tubs that were in his room were left at the apartments so if you want to pay $1600.00 for you to move your things go with this company. This company is awful. Set up our move 10 days in advance. Nothing out of the ordinary typical move did confirmation email two days before. Email stated we should see them 8-8:30 I take off from work my wife took off also. 10 rolls around no call nothing!! So we call to check. "We were going to call you later to let you know we will not get to you today. They told me they will help us uploading our truck once we arrived at the storage in Cropus Christi from Dallas Texas at noon BUT they cancelled on us last minute. IT NON PROFESSIONAL AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED. THEY stood up on us. We have no one to help us unloading from moving truck, So we have to do it on our own unloading ourselves with NO help!. It took us all day unloading alone and we are elders. My husband is VERY UPSETTING about them for not being professing and not keep their promises to help us unloading. I didn't even use them just asked for a quote. They sent someone to my home who was polite and professional while doing my estimate. When he called the office they quoted me a $1,000. I told them that I would discuss it with my husband and let them know later on that afternoon. Instead of saying not a problem the guy on the phone started asking since I have to ask my husband what would make him say yes. I knew him better then anyone and he wanted to know how likely he would go with them. I told them right there that I would be discussing it with my husband. After him saying a few more things I told him I was interested. I thank the gentleman who came out and said they guy on the phone lost my services This morning I get another call from a woman. I told her I already said no to them yesterday. She asked why I told her the gentleman who was in my home was fine the other guy I spoke to in the office was the reason I won't be going with them. I told her what happen and her response was I don't think that would ever happen. I told her to stop calling me and hung up. Never have I had someone say since I have to ask my husband what do I think he would do. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! I moved from Alice Tx to Kingsville Tx. I had a double size platform bed, a nightstand, a small desk and chair, a 5 drawer chest, an 8 drawer dresser, a rocker recliner, a tv table and 20 boxes. They charged me $50.00 for shrink wrap and $60.00 for a tv box. They charged by the hour. It took 2 men 6 hours and 45 minutes to complete this move. The fuel charge was also high. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They had quoted around $600, ended up $1,100. I tried to be nice and talked to Nate about the issue and to inform him I would be posting a negative review. If there were "zero" stars available this company would have gotten it from our experience with them last week! We scheduled a move for my disabled sister-in-law 2 weeks in advance, and this company was 7 hours late. We all live in San Antonio so we had made a special trip to get her packed, moved and unpacked. Because of their unprofessional handling of our case, we had to call in church friends to get her unpacked because we all had to get back home Tuesday evening. If they had shown up when scheduled, we would have had plenty of time to complete the job. There was never any communication initiated by the office in Corpus to let us know that they would be late. We called the 1st time 1 hour after they were supposed to be there (9:00 am), and they told us they were running a late and would be there at 12:30 pm. At 1:00 pm we called again and were told they would be there about 3:30. At 4:00 we were told another hour or so. And at 5:45 pm we were told they'd be there in 45 minutes. The truck FINALLY drove up at 7:00!! Then we were informed that they would load the truck, but before they unloaded we would have to pay IN CASH! This was the first time we had been told about this! We scrambled between the 3 of us to come up with the money including a trip to the ATM. Also, we were quoted $89/hour, but were charged more because the apartment was upstairs - which they knew about from the time it was a booked. One last complaint was the fact that the drivers left our location on route to the new apartment to "grab a drink at Stripes". They didn't show up for a whole hour ... that was one LONG drink break!! The drivers were nice enough, and they got everything moved, but they were slow. We thought that since this was a nation-wide franchise, we would be guaranteed promt and efficient service. I guess that location is the key ... this location is unreliable and unprofessional. I would NOT recommend them. read more

They came for a quote and three business days later I was still waiting to receive it after being told twice that it had been sent or would be sent within the hour. I was finally told by Nate the Operations Manager that quote was not yet completed but he roughed it out with their hourly rate. I then tried to schedule the move but was met with the requirement that someone be home although the move is just the items in our garage. I repeated that I had already shared that no one would be home just like we couldnt be at quote. We used them twice. Both times were mistakes. The only reason we used them a second time was because the people were extremely nice. The first move they hit my washing machine on something and it wouldn't work. I chunked it to moving and got a new washer out of the deal. Second time was SO MUCH WORSE. They tell you that you're insured/covered. They don't tell you that in order to submit a claim you MUST leave EVERYthing in the original boxed condition so they can come verify. Tell me how you're supposed to know what all is broken without looking through boxes/unpacking. We had a storage unit set up so I had to go crawl through the unit to open boxes and verify condition. We had several pieces of furniture that were less than 6 months old that the corners are totally gone (entertainment center, chest of drawers and dresser). My filing cabinet has a huge gash in it. A very nice corner desk that the electronic component no longer works - thankfully we had that piece of furniture under its purchased warranty. Moving is frustrating anyways. You don't want to get to your destination with broken dishes, smooshed in corners, broken electronics, and your filing cabinet looks like someone tried to forcefully open it (it only holds documents for appliances anyways ‍). read more

My husband and I used this company recently for a ONE MILE move from a two bed apartment to a duplex. When I set up the move I was told $129 Hour that's it , plus fuel . 3 weeks out . than 24 hr before the move they sent me a email to sign with all the other stuff they plan to charge you.....leaving us know real way to back out. these are some of there tactics. They park there truck far enough away so they use up the hours.. They over rap your items to add more hours to the clock and charge you for materials used.....with 3 men and truck 1164.00 8 hours 90.00 fuel charge for ONE MILE MOVE... This place is deceitful and unprofessional.. They give you a quote and your bill is nothing close to that. They sent two kids to move from a one bedroom to a house. The kids were very casual and took their time. One of the kids spent 45 mins in my bedroom listening to podcasts and there was only three items in there. Then they couldn't even get the couch out the door. I had to tell them what to do. When it came to paying my bill, I noticed my bill was almost double what I was quoted. On top of that, they charged me for extra time they weren't there. I asked if they were going to refund the extra time, as per the agreement.. I also asked about the bill and why it was so high, and why I was getting taxed two separate times. Per agreement, there's a 16% tax.. Well I was taxed 21%. Of course there wasn't a refund like their website says, and they never explained my bill. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

All My Sons moved contents of my elderly parents house and everything arrived in great condition. The Corpus Christi office was very helpful in advance of the move and the moving crew was very thorough wrapping and preparing furniture for the move, as well as delivering it the same day to its new location. Moving is a stressful experience for the people who are moving but that stress was minimized because of the competency of our moving crew. Check BBB..They get your stuff on their truck then charge you extremely high price not the price agree on mine was suppose to be $139.00 to move me 8 doors down, everything was packed and outside to be loaded they came had me signed computer stuff, my account was charged after they got all my Office stuff on their truck which wasn't even 1 bedroom worth of things but the important documents and computer system on the truck was worth over 10 grand, my account was charge $1,989. then after charging me they didn't want to give my stuff they tried to leave with the things on the truck, we had to block the truck in from leaving get the cops involved and we had to remove my stuff off the truck.In talking with them at the office they were laughing making jokes that this is how you run a moving company since other neighbors of mine and people I know used this service and I have to say I was lucky I got my stuff other people didn't get their things after being milked out of extremely high amounts. Check BBB and see how many complaints are against these people. If you don't want to lose your things don't deal with these people. I couldn't believe they are still getting away with this. they have been doing this for years now. I paid almost 2 grand for them to load stuff that was packed ready outside on their truck then I had to unload it in the middle of the street ware we blocked their truck in and had to walk moving things back to the original location. Neighbors hurried to help me because while the cops were talking to the driver we saw the chance to get my stuff off into the street before they would have been able to leave with my things.The driver told the cops he was on parol and was doing what he was instructed he had no knowledge of what was going on witch was false cause the driver was on the phone trying to get the company to send someone to get the truck and help him cause he was surrounded. His co-passenger said to us and cops this was his first day and people were instructing them before leaving they were to load if things were of value to haul butt once things were loaded to a storage place to unload things they would later sale. They charged us for 8 hours Drive time for Corpus Christi to Victoria which normally takes maybe 2 hours driving. In my opinion they are crooks and liars. Terrible. I called and told the man at All My Sons Moving and Storage when I needed help and described in detail how many beds, dressers, tables, couches, et. They came later than expected and said they thought they were coming to a much smaller apartment. I had told the person when booking the appt. that there were 3 bedrooms and that my son was moving to another 3 bedroom apartment. Both units were upstairs on the 2nd floor. The nice thing was the apartment complexes were only about 1.5 miles apart. When I booked the appt. the guy on the phone estimated it would take a couple of hours, the when they arrived they said maybe 4-6 hrs. and of course it would cost a LOT more money!!!!! They said they would return my deposit and then the bill showed up and they had not refunded my cc. I was mad because it was going to cost more than I could afford and they had been given the right information but paid no attention to what I said and simply sent a couple of guys that knew nothing about the job. This company was great until the new owner came along. They ripped me off so bad. Once they had my stuff they held it hostage and said it would cost $13,000 to move it to California and it was 1 bedroom. They wouldn't let another mover come get it either. Horrible company.
