I've been going here for 2 years but I walked out without service today. I understand that the location is busy but the greeting tech doesn't even look up and emphatically says "we busy". Someone came in while I was waiting and said they'd called ahead and been told 30 minutes but they were told "no call ahead, it be 30 minutes, you wait". Another review mentioned that customer service here is horrific and they are absolutely right. Went in today for a basic mani pedi, having come here a few times before with hit or miss service, but today, the young technician girl who was working appeared to have some kind of infection. Not sure if she decided to come on her own or was forced to work but she was very sick, and the other customers present often glanced at her while she worked because her cough sounded horrific. She took 15 minutes on both my feet and hands when I usually tend to stay for at least an hour. My feet ended up looking worse afterwards than when I came in because of her hasty treatment. When I tried to mention that I wasn't satisfied with the service prior to paying she went to the back while I was speaking and hid. Another male tech came up and I tried to continue the conversation, but he also left mid sentence with a shrug and also didn't come back out. There's a serious lack of professional behavior amongst the staff; I wasn't angry but wanted to let them know that I wasn't okay with the rush to get me out, when other customers who were there before I arrived were still seated when my services were completed. I hope someone checks on that girl because having her work with that infection is a health concern. Definitely won't be spending money here again which is a shame because I live so close, but the disrespect I experienced is enough to make me want to steer clear for good. read more

Got my nails done with gel nail polish on Friday 3/25 at 12pm. The nail polish was ending and was staying on super thick and I asked the guy if we should change it. He said no it's fine! Well guess what? By Saturday at 10pm, 4 of my nails had peeled off completely like I imagined. Something that I payed to ask 2 weeks only lasted a little over 24 hours. Total bullshit! I have been to several nail salons in the area and you get the best value and great looking nails here. My nails always look perfect, and I rarely have to wait. When I get a pedicure, it's a full 15 minutes of leg and foot massage instead of a quick slapping on of lotion I've had at other places. When I get SNS, it lasts 3 weeks or longer. This review is based on a very short encounter...because I was asked to leave. The customer service here is HORRIFIC. I arrived and asked for a SNS manicure. A younger male tech sat me down, I picked a color, and as he reached for the electric file I requested that it not be used on my natural nail (which has been accommodated by my nail techs at various places the last 50+ times I've gotten SNS...never once was an electric nail used on my natural nail and it always lasted two weeks). He proceeded to aggressively interrogate me why I wouldn't use the electric file on my nail and I told him it was my personal preference. He continued to badger and berate me and said if the manicure didn't last it wouldn't be his fault. I immediately said that would be completely fine and that I would accept responsibility if it didn't last. He then started to file my pinky nail with a regular file and then basically stopped and said he wouldn't do it...so basically told me to leave. Unbelievable! I got up, left, and went to another salon where they used a regular file and did a great job. By the way...if the management reads this here's a quote from an article as to why you shouldn't use an electric file on the natural nail..."because of the potential for damaging the natural nail, most instructors advise against using drills on natural nails, and all say carbide burs should not be used on the natural nail. Use the drill on an acrylic surface only. It is not necessary to use it on the natural nail because you're only prepping it to remove oil, and oil does not penetrate so far that you need a drill to remove it. They have ANC dipping nail powder. You have to ask for it as by default they use SNS. Very clean use liners and employees use gloves.

If you want a super safe and professional nail salon, this is the place to go. I am regular customer, but I took a brake due to the Covid-19. I visited them back after 3 months and a half to be quarantined at home. Thank goodness they took all the precautions and more, because I really needed a good pedicure. I felt very safe and relax. They have the hard plastic protectors for the cashier area, the nails stations and a mobile hard plastic protection for each chair in the pedicure area; by the way, its a very genius idea. You really feel more than safe and they're cleaning constantly. Besides that, I have always been more than satisfied with their work and they will be always my place to go. I live in the complex right behind. Nona park Village. Let me start with saying that I had been longing for a mani pedi since the week started, come Friday my big day finally came! This lady was beyond rude, wouldn't even say hello to me when I arrived/sat down and kept making faces and speaking Vietnamese or Mandarin throughout the whole session. I could totally tell she was pissed off by something, and she wouldn't even acknowledge I was there despite working on my hands and feet. I usually don't talk during the session, I wanted to relax and enjoy the chair massage and that wasn't possible. She was pissed about something and her tone was hostile. I'm not one to seek confrontation but i felt so bad that at one point i said to other technician: I can tell she's not happy. Would you mind having someone else finish my nails? Apparently the technician DID understand English and started being -fake- nice to me and asking me a ton of questions. I didn't want attention, I just wanted to not take her shitty attitude or being there to listen to her talk shit in loud hostile Vietnamese while having my nails done. Ugh. Just wanted the basic service, not extra fake attention to compensate hostility and rudeness. I understand this is normal in all nail salons, it's ok. I'm used to it. But this was something else, Honestly don't ever go there. I answered nicely to all her small talk questions and left a $10 tip anyway. But wouldn't recommend this place. Ever. read more

Horrible service. I honestly feel as if I was treated like a second class citizen here. Maybe it was because I'm black or that I just looked like the average joe, but I came in for a pedicure that I ended up walking out on. I picked out my color and waited about 5-10 minutes before a guy let me know that it was time for my pedicure. I noticed two women had come in after me as I walked down to the pedicure section. The guy started my water and literally seemed ready to begin, but the two women who had arrived after I did were seated immediately. Yes, maybe they had appointments, but the way that things were handled left a bad taste in my mouth. The guy told me "5 minutes" as he turned around to start working on the other lady.5 minutes??? I was just gonna get a pedi but he infused so much trust in his quality of work that I was upsold with a gel manicure that I haven't done in over a year. First time here. I did eye brows and a pedicure. I walked in on a Sunday an hour before they close. I waited a reasonable time. The lady who attended me was nice. I felt like they were clean, used gloves. There's apparently only one person who does eye brows and I loved how she told the customer "have a seat. Let me wash my hands first". Normally I see them touch feet and then eye brows which grosses me out. My eye brows turned out nice and I'm so picky about them. I did a regular French manicure which turned out nice too. I chose the regular spa package which is fairy priced. I would come back and try their other packages. The lady was speaking to her other co workers in their language and then would tell me what they are taking about which I thought was polite of her. She also made conversation with me which was nice. I wanted to get tips with no SNS because there is no point of doing that if it is not your natural nails. SNS carry's Vitamin E and many other nutrients. When I spoke with him to schedule an appointment he sounded like he didn't want to do because he only does "Dip Powder" nails. Told him that he does a very nice and clean job with nails. Had the worse pedicure in my life with a guy that either had a cold or had really bad allergies. Don't know if he just learn to do pedicures because one of the ladies that worked there came by and told him good job. As a walk in customer I was prompted to pick a color as they were filling my pedicure tub. Water was too hot at first but they were very attentive and cooled it down right away. The spa pedicure is $25 and a good value. Massage chairs are wonderful and provided deep tissue relaxation. Pedicure included trim, cuticles, pumice stone, skin scrub, and a lotion foot rub. (Not quite the strength of a massage but felt great anyway)... My tech used an opi base coat then one coat of color. All the nails were trimmed even and cleaned very well. My biggest complaint is that the "best of Maraih Carey" was playing the entire time... But if you're in to that then it could be a bonus! Not the best in town- but a good value at $25 read more
