I've been coming to Mango Blow Dry Bar for years, and I've consistently had a 5-star experience. I've seen Charles, Victoria, and Ben, and they've all provided great service over the years. It's nice having a place where I can feel comfortable going back to different stylists and still trust that I'm going to leave happy with my hair. One of my favorite things about coming here is that it actually feels like a little "me time" rather than just another hair appointment. Being able to relax with a cappuccino, glass of wine, or another drink while getting my hair done is such a nice touch and definitely adds to the experience. The salon itself is beautiful, modern, and always feels clean and well maintained. The interior has an upscale feel without being uncomfortable or overly stuffy, so it's an easy place to sit back and relax. After coming here for years, the consistency is really what earns the 5 stars for me. Between the atmosphere, the extra touches, and the great service I've received from Charles, Victoria, and Ben, Mango has remained one of my go-to places. Ben is the best! I go to him for hair cuts, blow dries and extensions. He is super talented and knowledgeable. Made an appt. For a blow out While I was out of town for Gala, I'm always nervous when I get a blow out cause it can go terribly wrong however Ben was amazing. My hair looked great for the event. The best part. I can usually only keep a blowout for 4 to 5 days. I ended up keeping this one for about seven days. It's extremely humid in Florida and my hair stayed flawless Ben you are superstar. Went for a root touch up and they were going to charge $40 for a blow dry. I was taken back since I was already paying for a service and being charged to dry my hair. They honestly lost my business! I enjoy promoting and trying out local and independently owned establishments. Today, I finally went for my first post-covid lockdown hair color. I got there around 11 and was seen right away. Offered wine, cappuccino or water. The person doing my hair was nice enough. I said I didn't really have an idea on what I wanted. I showed two pictures of previous color on myself. We decided to do all over blonde highlights. He then suggested a Blush toner. I was hesitant and said the only thing I really really don't like is anything copper, orange or brassy. He showed me a few pictures of the Blush toner and it looked fine- a tiny hint of light pink basically. Okay, fine. 4 hours later- I take one look at my hair and didn't know if I should cry or laugh. It. Was. Awful. They charge extra for drying or styling so I basically got up with wet, ridiculous looking hair, paid and left. I tipped because I'm not naive to the fact that tips are how people make ends meet. Once I got home- my family legit laughed at me. My son said "they made your hair kinda yellow and kinda orange and red, mommy." I called and the owner asked if I could come back in and allow them to fix it. I went back in an hour later and Victoria got to work on my hair. She asked what I didn't like and did everything she could to fix it. She took time and even went back and did a shadow root after washing and a toner didn't fix it all. She dried the face framing pieces to make sure that I liked it. In the end, my hair looks good. I finally got home at 7:15pm after starting this fiasco at just before 11am. I want to rate them higher for fixing it but I still paid $200 plus tip for it. The fact that they didn't offer to blow dry my hair blows my mind!! No reason I should've even been allowed to leave looking the way it did. read more

This hair salon is okay. I would like to start by saying I WOULD recommend this salon if you want a basic haircut or color. The atmosphere is very classy and cozy, and the stylist are incredibly friendly. If you want anything more, I find that some stylists don't know what they are doing. For example, I requested a blowout done, and the front receptionist could not understand what that was After describing what a blowout is, I was scheduled for Haitham to have that done on my hair. He is a sweet guy, but he does not know how to wash hair properly at the wash station nor handle a blow dryer. I had water all down my back, and he tried drying my shirt with a blow dryer but would keep the dryer on my skin *ouch!* Moving on to the "blowout," he burnt my scalp several times. He would just leave the heat on my scalp I had to repeatedly tell Haitham to be mindful of the heat in that area. In the end, I never got a blowout. Just blow dry Cost was $60 for something that left scabs on my scalp. read more

This salon is pretty, bright, open and the people are very nice. I booked an appointment with Haytham for a blowout. He did a good job - end result looked nice - but he was a little rough on my scalp and definitely didn't do a head massage or try to make the experience relaxing or luxurious. The back of my shirt was very wet from excessive water during the wash. He barely brushed my hair before jumping into the blow dry. The entire appointment took 32 mins. I was in and out. Charles is excellent. I one of those people who are picky with their hair I mean overly picky and the reason we picky people are so picky is because our hair is fine or unmanageable and it's hard to style. Just a lesson to understand open the book and read it. Don't just look at the cover; literally it takes me five minutes to blow dry my hair out to a perfect style. I usually let it dry on its own 3/4 of the way just to keep it healthy and not over process it, but Charles has done the most incredible cut have been going to him for four years now I Love his cuts !! read more

My stylist was Ben, I called a few hours before the appointment to schedule and they were able to get me in for a haircut. Not a normal haircut but for my extensions. I went in with extensions (of different colors because I need to get them dyed) and a blunt bob as my natural hair. I also have thick hair so it's not the easiest to blend into extensions. As stylists say "the dreaded bob" when it comes to blending it with hair extensions. But Ben is detailed and meticulous, which as someone who's also detail oriented and meticulous I really appreciated. He did a great job and I'm happy with my hair :) I'll be going back in 6 weeks when it's time for me to move my extensions up so I can get a trim from him. One week ago I had my hair cut and do some highlights. At the first moment when I left the salon I didn't notice anything wrong, but the moment I washed my hair for the first time I could clearly see that my hair was ruined by the "professional" who did it. Completely crooked cuts (layers) with many flaws and totally opposite to what was requested. I contacted the salon and they told me they hadn't done anything wrong and that they couldn't do anything about it. I had to go somewhere else to fix the mistake made by them and the person who helped me told me that numerous mistakes were made (cutting, coloring, low quality products used and more). Attached pictures of some of the errors. I don't even recommend it if the service is offered for free. That was the worst experience of my life. Worst quality. Worst Customer Service. Don't go! Unfortunately, I hate to do this but I'm upset with the process of my hair. I clearly understand a full balayage is a process, but for the amount of money I've spent and time only to be this far in the process. I was told I would only need to go in twice because my first appointment would do damage to my hair and I would not achieve the blonde I was aiming for so I would need to go back in. I understood a 2nd appointment was going to be needed and after this appointment I would only need to schedule for maintenance. However, I am scheduled mid June for my 3rd appointment to add more blonde and get rid of the caramel color. Although, from the looks of my hair now and where I am trying to be from the photo I provided I am a long ways. I will pay because you get what you pay for but, this is no where near what I an looking to achieve however, I feel I am being taken advantage of because first appointment cost me $423 for hair and product second appointment was another $200 and that included 15% off. Furthermore, in order to get a discount I was hounded by the owner while I was getting my hair done to the point where it was a little uncomfortable. Mango blow dry and spa is a nice looking place unfortunately, it feels a bit like a scam. I appreciate Victoria took care of my hair however, I feel like she is limited to what she is allowed to do. I am embarrassed to share a picture. My hair is short, and I SPECIFICALLY told S---- NOT to cut over my ear. I now have a bald spot above my right ear. "I won't touch it next time," she said. It's a full service salon, Don't let the blow dry bar fool you. The salon is really cute and had good music and was even offered a cappuccino. My hair cut and blow dry came out really nice. i am very upset about my hair. I came in asking for my roots to be evenly color melted down with my tips lighter. I usually pay $265 and tip any trip to the salon and I was very disappointed with what I walked away with for $175. My hair is different colors because the color was not evenly distributed throughout the top of my head I have uneven dark bangs where you can see the old color peeking through and and strips of dark brown almost black unevenly coming from my scalp mainly congregated right in the front. I am the boss of the bosses at my job and have to be in front of many people Monday and I am embarrassed for anyone to see my hair. I have never left the salon feeling so I confident and unhappy. I regret not scheduling with the hairstylist that did my blow out the week before because his client left with what I came in asking for an i left angry and wanting to cry. I still tipped over $20 and bought an additional $60 worth of product. I had a outing tonight and all I can speak about is how upset I am about my hair. I am very concerned to let this stylist so my hair again because now I cannot trust her work and techniques which is very unfortunate. read more
