Once again they worked with us and got our tire fixed right away. This is why we keep coming back. Thanks!

Joe's Auto and Tire took great care of me back when I was in college.

My son had some car issues a few times while attending Winona State. The local places recommended…read morewere always backed up for weeks so I gave them a shot. First, they are very friendly but not trying to sale something you don't need. They send a price quote via text. You look over the quote, except it and they get it done. It has always been great work, service and timeliness. My favorite part is when me or my son have picked up the car. The mechanic who worked on the car comes out and discusses the repairs and answers any questions.

This second time around however, I had come in with a previous diagnostic on what was really wrong with the windows and why this issue kept happening. I explained what the issue was and that I was just looking to get the window up before I go get it actually fixed. The guy (not the same one as before) disregarded everything I had said and recommended parts that I knew would not fix the issue entirely. Also couldn't get the window up like the other guy could the previous time. Paid $50 for them to not get the window up and to get an incorrect diagnosis on the issue. They are all very very nice people I was just confused as to why every time I told them what I knew was wrong (from another auto care specialist), I was completely disregarded.

I purchased a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid from Sugar Loaf Ford for $16,997 in April 2024 from…read moresalesperson Joe. Just 34 days later, at only 62,852 miles, the transmission failed--conveniently just outside the Minnesota Attorney General's limited warranty period. When I reached out to Sugar Loaf Ford for assistance, I was met with more than just indifference. After making a sizable down payment, I needed time to save for the transmission repair--a situation many can relate to. Sugar Loaf Ford, however, showed no empathy. Instead, they demanded I move the vehicle off their lot or pay storage fees on top of the repair bill. To add insult to injury, they quoted me $7,526.99 for the repair in June 2024, promising the quote would be honored for 365 days. Fast forward to January 2025, and they suddenly claimed the cost had risen to $8,071.79--an additional $545. Of that amount, $410 was labor! This kind of bait-and-switch pricing is unethical and shows a complete disregard for customer trust. Sugar Loaf Ford clearly treats used car buyers like second-class citizens. They happily take your money, but a month later when issues arise with a vehicle their service department "inspected", you are on your own. Their refusal to honor written commitments and their predatory business practices prove they value profits over people. Fortunately, my father stepped in and brought a 2001 Toyota with 227,000 miles here. He was able to ensure in his barn, with his own well-loved tools, that I would have reliable transportation. This is a service Sugar Loaf Ford could not provide for $17,000. After this experience, I no longer question my father's philosophy of buying reliable, well-maintained vehicles outright. 2 Conclusions: 1. Don't step foot in Sugar Loaf Ford unless you plan to buy their extended warranty. 2. I like the Toyota. I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with purchasing one. There's a Dahl Toyota just across the highway. I'll be taking my business to Dahl, and if they treat me fairly, I might just buy my next car there.

My wife and I have been looking to buy a new pick up truck for the last couple of weeks. We came…read moreacross a truck that was available at Dahl's in Winona, MN and made the call to inquire about the availability. We spoke with a sales associate McKayla, who gave us the details we asked for. When we asked if the dealership would honor the suppliers discount and if we could put a deposit down to hold the truck, she let us know she would have to speak to the manager to ensure she gave us the correct information. She placed us on a brief hold and when she came back on the line she told us they would honor the supplier discount and took our financial information so we could put a $1000 deposit on the vehicle. She then told us that they would put a SOLD sticker on the vehicle and it was headed into the detail shop. She then texted us pictures of the truck. We made arrangements to meet Thursday and we were told by McKayla that when we came in we would be working with Brett. Approximately 30 minutes after getting off the phone with McKayla, Brett called. It didn't take long to figure out that what started out looking like a pleasant business exchange turned quickly into a shake-down. Brett completely reneged on the deal almost immediately. When asked if they would give us a Veteran incentive he told us that it would be roughly the same as the supplier discount and said no they would not honor that. Vet discount is a completely different incentive. Brett told us that there were 3 other buyers who were interested in the truck and it would essentially go to whichever customer agreed to pay the MSRP minus the customer cash. That is to say they'd sell it to the one who agreed to get screwed. I'll reiterate here that we already committed to a deposit. We also rented a hotel room to ensure that we would not be late to our meeting on Thursday. Our financing was secured. When we challenged Brett he immediately threw McKayla under the bus, even though she had done as she promised. Brett told us that he would speak to his manager and that the manager would call us back. The manager never bothered to call us back. The big take away I want any potential buyer to know is this: WE HAD AN AGREEMENT AND THE DEALER RENEGED. The lack of integrity is appalling and we will never initiate the buying process with this low-class chicken-shit dealer ever again. We will also be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau. If I could give negative Stars I would.

I shouldn't be, the last car we purchased was a new one. Very good service and follow through even sent me a small check cause the licence was less than they charged me. Most places would have kept the difference! My wife likes to go there for service on our vehicles too, very clean and honest about repairs and service. I like the fact that they err on the side of safety. Rather than charge us for a lot of unexpected costs to fix everything they ranked the repairs and we were able to work through the list and have a much better vehicle now. Very happy with this dealership!!
