Horrible Kennel, don't take your animals there! I went to All Pets Boarding Village for a work trial and couldn't believe it, obviously I didn't accept the job. They don't care about your dogs, they don't even care if they don't eat!
First thing I saw is that they breed Cattle Dogs (working dogs) and they have them in small kennels all day long. They only come out of them when the kennel is getting cleaned up (5 minutes) and they are moved to just a slightly bigger kennel. No interaction with them at all and no exercise at all.
Then we went to clean the boarding dogs. Building was very very noisy, every bark would echo, so not a very relaxing place for the dogs. Most of them were very scared. I went to move two dogs that were together in a kennel (both under 5kg), hiding under the bed and the girl told me to leave them there because I might get bitten! I couldn't leave the dogs there and hose the pen down with them inside (as suggested) so I spent under two minutes in the kennel, I sat next to the bed and ended up taking them to the "exercise area" on my arms and they were the happiest dogs ever, running around and jumping. I was so happy to see that but after cleaning their kennel I had to move them back in. I couldn't believe it, it was the first time that those dogs got out of the kennel and they couldn't stay longer than 5 minutes.
When we finished cleaning the kennels it was feeding time. They feed the dogs mince and 4 balls of kibble on top. If you dog is not used to eat raw food he is screwed, they would most likely have a massive diarrhea for the first week until their stomach gets used to digest it. Once they finish feeding all the dogs, they star picking up the bowls, empty or not. They don't care at all if they don't eat or neither write it down to keep track of those dogs meals. Those two little dogs were too scared to get out of the bed to eat. I ended up in the kennel hand feeding them.
And that's all, your day is finished at the kennel! I thought after all of that we would take the dogs to the "exercise areas" and interact with them, but no, you go home. And nobody is near those dogs all day long.
So please, do not take you loved dog to a place like this! Make sure they take care of them before leaving them anywhere! read more
