The roof has been on for over two years now and is performing well. All Phase really earned their 5 star review when they reroofed our entire house on short notice. Long story short, we discovered so severe leaking during a kitchen remodel that required opening a ceiling. My wife and were headed out of town for a week plus, but the roof had to get done right away to keep our other contractors on schedule. They jumped right in and fast tracked the repair, all while keeping us updated on progress daily so that we could keep our other contractors on task. All Phase's quote came in at half of the largest quote, and 2/3rd of the next lowest quote. In retrospect the other quotes all had a lot of padding to cover a number of potential problem. They also included ridge roof vents and vented roofing to solve some of the venting challenges of the crawl space/attic spaces with the unique design of my house. All Phase's did not, a fact that I didn't realize until later. Since we were also facing another large expense at the time in needing to replace the furnace, we went ahead with All Phase. After all there was nothing in the reviews to lead me to believe there would be any problems. I had pointed out to Robin all the issues I was concerned with, a small piece of siding was missing along the roof line in one piece. No circulation in the three separate crawl spaces I have on the house, the dryer vent that I insisted be installed. He promised, just like the other three guys who quoted me, that these would all be fixed. Problems start off with the roofing crew not showing up until 11am each day. That seemed kind of stupid to me since it was 90+ degrees in the afternoon then. On day two I noticed that the crew was all drinking beer while working in the hot sun. They were also sneaking to one of the guys vans and smoking marijuana there. But work was progressing and I didn't spot any problems. The next issue was the roof vent I asked for to vent the dryer upstairs. I stated multiple times that I wanted the vent to go straight through the wall, horizontally through the crawl space and out the roof. They ran it vertically along the wall inside the living space and directly through the roof. Then they capped it off with a solid vent piece that can't be removed to be cleaned. When they were tearing off the roof of the garage, they did not put down any type of plastic to catch debris. Granted, my garage suffers from "too full, not enough shelving," syndrome, but now everything is also covered with little pieces of roofing material. During this time they found a few problems that needed to be fixed. Some of this was accomplished by raiding my stock of lumber in the garage without me knowing. The owner, Robin, did call me up to let me know that they had to purchase more lumber to fix these problems. Including the extra labor we were looking at another $1200 which brought the price within $1000 of the next lowest bid. On day five they leave at about 7pm. There are still a few problems that I assumed they were going to finish up the next day, there was roofing material, nails in the driveway, and trash all over the outside of the house. They did not install any roof venting at all on the front side of the house with the isolated crawl space - which was where the major problem was. They left the outdoor light on the garage hanging by the wire. I did not pay attention to these as I actually ended up loosing my job that day. I emailed Robin the next morning telling him that I had lost my job, including my company cell phone and gave him other ways to contact me. I found out later that he left FIVE voice mails on my old phone getting angry about me not contacting him to pay the bill. The last one was apparently VERY bad and included threats of a lawyer. They were also all within two hours of each other. After not hearing from him, I call him back about noon from another phone to get together to pay him for the work. I didn't know about the irate voicemails at the time, but he seemed fine when I talked to him. The bill was another $800 higher then I expected, but he explained to me why. The next day I had a chance to sit back and look at the work that had been done. This is when I noticed the issues. The driveway was covered with nails. I spent 30 minutes sweeping it up and picking them all up. This is when I noticed that hanging light on the garage, the lack of venting across the roof where we had discussed it was needed, the missing piece of siding was not only not fixed, it was even worse then before. But the part that ticked me off the most was where the siding had been cut to put flashing in. The lines are not straight at all and look terrible. I call him up telling him about these issues. He tells me to call an electrician for the light and the other part isn't his problem. I send a picture of the light titled "WTF?" and two days later he comes out to look at the problems. He promises to fix them, the foreman from the job comes out to do so. He fixes the light and nothing else. I call up again and he finally sends his two sons out a week later. They apologize, add the vent I needed, but did nothing about any of the siding problems. They claim the siding was already damaged when they got to it. How they know that I don't know. Overall I have a roof that still needs proper venting. I now have siding issues that need to be fixed. And I have a potential fire hazard with the dryer roof vent. I am extremely unhappy with this service. read more

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend these folks - even though at first I felt good about them. The bid was low compared to the 5 others I got. Part of the bid was a couple thousand dollars to replace the "Barge boards", and they did do it. What was not revealed until after they were finished and paid was that they "are not painters" and it'd cost me another $2,600 to have the raw wood they put on my house painted! And that was after the bid went up by $450 because they needed more wood. I am sorely disappointed... read more

Matt was so professional with his communication, he always replied in a timely manner, answered a ton of my questions and explains things in a way that someone with not a lot of building knowledge can understand (me). Their bid was very competitive and the total price ended up being not far off of the original bid (mostly due to additions on my part and one addition because of water damage that dearly needed fixing). Lucino was the craftsman who came in and did the most beautiful job installing the siding. He is meticulous and excellent at what he does. Dustin made these perfect custom planter boxes that are removable (who would have thought??). I honestly loved having this crew around, they're so trustworthy, genuinely good humans who are great at what they do. I will absolutely work with All Phase again in the future, they're the best! Often I need them on short notice and they work it out to meet my deadlines. This review is for a complete tear off on a 3 layer roof including the original wood shingles making it necessary to replace the sheathing, too. I called them on Friday. They squeezed me in to start on Monday. The weather started to change so they doubled up their crew and managed to finish the whole project 4 days ahead of schedule! The roof looks beautiful and the grounds were left spotless. Rob and his sons gave me daily updates and assurances they would finish on time. I return to them time and time again because of their consistent integrity and quality. I don't even consider other companies. These guys are good! read more

All Phase replaced the roof on my house. Their bid was lower than the others I received, yet covered all the needed work in detail. Rob was helpful in making the changes I wanted. The three man roofing crew did a great job especially on the siding cutbacks that were needed to do the sidewall flashing. Chimney work was done at the same time. Their sub contractor, Tony Vasquez, did a great job of rebuilding the fireplace chimney and installed counter flashing. The site was cleaned up daily and the final cleanup was meticulous. We were very unsatisfied with All Phase's execution of the roofing job they did on our garage. 1.Upon the estimate of the work, it was discussed and written in the contract that the property, and flowers, were going to be protected from the falling shingles that were to be coming off the roof, and the site would be cleaned daily. The flowers were not protected by tarps, and six to seven flowers/plants were destroyed in the process. I videotaped falling shingles going directly into the flowers and plants. When confronted with the destroyed flowers/plants, the owner's response was, "The flowers look fine." The owner's son was also heard telling the sub contractors that they were told about being protective of the flowers/plants. 2. When the sub contractors first arrived, then stayed in their car for 15-20 minutes before working. Once they started working, they stopped because they, "Didn't have the right tools." It was discovered that the roof had more layers than was thought, so an additional charge was going to be added to the total. I asked why this wasn't discovered when the owner did an inspection with his, "35+years of experience," that he so proudly proclaimed. The sub contractors left, "To get the right tools," and came back, but again, stayed in their car for another 15- 20 minutes before returning to work. They left a total of two times. They also unplugged our hot tub to connect their power tools without asking or informing us. I called the owner of the company and complained about the workers not working. His response was they were maybe taking a lunch break, but they had been, "breaking," more than they had been working. He said he would talk to them to get a move on. He also told me that the workers where on, "their," time, not my time. That told me there was not a sense of urgency or consideration of the customer's time or life. After the phone call, one of the two sub contractors came back to work, while the other sub contractor stayed in the car. The working sub contractor worked on the roof while talking on the phone. The second sub contractor finally came out to work on the roof after being in the car for 20 minutes. Not long after they were both working, the owner's son and two other workers came to pick up the trailer of old roofing that was to be taken to the dump; however, they couldn't because the sub contractors had been resting more than they had been working, and didn't have the job done. I complained to the owner's son, and he listened patiently and said they would do what they could to make sure we were happy. By him being there, it also told me he expected the sub contractors to be done by a certain time as well. The sub contractors did finish, but left fallen shingles inside the garage, and were going to come the next day to clean them up. It was later stated that they did NOT clean the inside of garages even if it said in the contract that they would protect the property and daily clean and haul the garbage. 3. The next day the owner came to collect the payment, and we went over our dissatisfaction with his work. He offered a discount, or an offer to have the sub contractors come and clean the inside of the garage. He did both, which was gladly accepted. The same sub contractors left another site to finish cleaning the inside of our garage, which made me wonder if that is why they left our site because they were called back to finish another project that wasn't completed to the customer's satisfaction. In conclusion, I would not recommend this company because while Robin bragged about his vast experience in the business, he, nor his workers represented, or delivered the experience and professionalism that was promised in the contract. I requested an estimate for roofing replacement from 3 companies, including All Phase. Clearly, Rob and his son provided the most comprehensive roof examination and project estimate of the three. And the estimate was the most competitive. Rob provided a great deal of useful information to consider when deciding on the type of shingle. He and his sons were quick to respond to our questions throughout the profect. Given the job, the All Phase crew did a great job removing the existing shingles, repairing several portions of the roof that had rotted, installing proper ventilation, and installing the new roof. It looks great. The crew did a good job cleaning up after each day's work. Challenged by high daytime temperatures, they worked later in the evening when it was cooler. To finish the job within an acceptable time, they also worked on the weekend. Impressive! No regrets picking All Phase as our roofing contractor. read more

When I arrived home at the end of each day, the ground around my house was clean and debris free. This happened every day. The price I was quoted is the price I paid. there were no surprises. Rob anticipated some potential issues and some of them needed to be addressed and others didn't. My neighbors report that the crew started work early, but not too early, and they were respectful of the fact they were working j. A neighborhood. We recently had our home painted by All Phase...as well as have some windows trimmed out and some siding replaced prior to painting. This is a large three level 3,000 sf plus home with a fair amount of windows. All Phase completed the work to their budget/bid and they also completed the work early. They had an awesome crew and a lot of attention to detail. They were very courteous and kept a clean job site. My husband is NOT an easy guy to please and this is the first time we have hired out to do something that he could otherwise do ( but we didn't want to spend our entire summer doing this) ... He was VERY happy (as am I) with the work that was done and we can definitely recommend them to our neighbors. In fact, we called All Phase for a bid to begin with, because our neighbors hired them a few years ago to do their house .... and they did such a nice job there - it was easy to "see" why they had hired them. We contracted with Rob Duffy at All Phase to build a partially-covered back deck. The construction of the deck was fine (it looks quite good), though I will say Rob initially came in with a low bid and then slowly kept bumping up the cost of the project as it proceeded, so it eventually came in to line with all of the other bids we got (I assume this is his sneaky way of getting his foot in the door with a project). The big problem however, was his choice of subcontractors. Part of the job involved wiring the deck for lighting. He chose ABS Electric (the only electrician he works with). The electrician did part of the job and refused to finish the rest. Rob and his crew covered over all of the wiring that was done and now I need to have someone partially dismantle the deck so inspectors can see what work was done and get a new electrician to finish the job. Even though Sam with ABS Electric was the electrician that Rob chose, and the fact that Rob covered over the wiring before inspectors could look at it, Rob took absolutely no responsibility. I'm now in the position of paying someone to take apart, reassemble, and rewire a deck that I already paid for. All Phase Construction is a dishonest company, and I would caution anyone from working with them. ADDED NOTE: After posting my review, I noticed Rick H's review of All Phase. Apparently he had the same experience of Rob coming in with a really low bid and then slowly bumping up the costs as the project advanced to bring it in line with the other bids received. I apprecited their honesty when they said they could do the patch but we really just needed a new roof. This was something we suspected already, but now we really needed one. The windows are fine-we've had some Milgard windows for over 20 years, and have had no problems other than a couple of broken screen handles. The installer left my window sensors (home security) on the old windows when they were removed and trashed, which cost me almost $200 to replace. All phase said they would split the cost with me. I said if they would get me 2 replacement screens (very inexpensive, but useful) I would not pursue reimbursement. This was over a year ago, no screens have materialized, and they don't return my emails. I see all the reviews on this page are at least a year old, so maybe they went out of business. read more

The guys at All Phase Construction installed three windows and two patio doors in our home. They did a good job of removing the old aluminum windows and replacing with Milgard Energy windows, and putting interior and exterior trim on the windows.+ The windows had a 0.24 and 0.25 U-factor, much better than the 0.29 windows installed last year in the front of the house by a company that advertises on TV and newspapers daily. (Lower is better.) The price of the Milgard windows installed by All Phase was roughly 1/3 the price of the other windows per square foot. Better windows, better service, and clean up after it was done. I'm sold. I'll have All Phase do my gutters when I'm ready. read more
