Reliable is definitely very RELIABLE! Less then two years ago, they replaced our old worn out…read morefurnace with new unit... A mid range unit (Goodman) was selected to reduce some costs. The removal and replacement process was excellent all around. The unit ran well over the period. There some minor water leaks, but not their issue. They fixed these during the 1 year inspection they provide. All was well it seemed. Then earlier this month (December 2023) they had a deal to come out and inspect the furnace for no charge. They came out, and found the heat exchanger in it was cracked and leaking CO.... The furnace had to be shut down as a result. Goodman has a published 10 year warranty including the heat exchanger however, no labor was covered. Reliable contacted Goodman, but no luck in getting the labor covered and replacing the heat exchanger was not a great option. They went to work and provided us with an amazing solution...replace the entire furnace with a new better model....all at no charge. On their nickel!!! I am just absolutely amazed they did this for us, and further they were here with the new unit in a few days, and replaced the defective unit with the new Heil. Also amazing, they were able to remove the existing furnace and complete the new installation in about a half of a day!!! These guys are incredible and very professional. There was only one minor glitch and I called them late afternoon after they left, and again was amazed as they came right back out within a few hours and fixed the issues and all was well... This is a company that not only talks about great customer service, but they live it. Everyone from the fantastic techs that were here, to Kenton the owner, and the office staff went far above and beyond for us... I would only wish more companies provided such excellent service! If you need a few furnace and/or AC, these are the guys you can trust!

I cringed when this happened because I know service calls can kill you on weekends let alone a Sunday. I had a bit of an idea what might be wrong so I called the Bryant Contractor who originally installed the system. Whoever was on call gave me the run around about getting the part and that it will take him a bit of time because he lives out of town. So I went to the Bryant website. I called Engelsma Heating bc they were also listed in the Bryant website. Tim said he had the part and can be by in 30 min. He gave me an idea what it would cost which sounded reasonable, and much less than what the other outfit quoted me. After 30 min or less working on it he had my furnace going again. If i recall he only charged me for the part. Based on this experience I highly recommend them. My impression was that they were not out to get me and getting me back on service was their priority. I found them to be reliable and will not do work that is unnecessary. Engelsma should be a model for all heating contractors for the way they do business. My system is almost 20 years old and am planning on replacing it soon. I will definitely give Engelsma a call for an estimate when the time comes.

I attempted to contact Hendricks after discovering a leak in our ceiling. The plumber we hired…read moredetermined that the water heater exhaust vent had never been glued at the coupling, which allowed condensation to leak and damage our ceiling and drywall. When I first called Hendricks, Travis told me they "don't do water heaters" and insisted it wasn't their work. After I explained that our plumber specifically identified Hendricks as the installer, he continued to deny responsibility and rudely responded, "Well, we don't do drywall, so I'm not sure what you want me to do about it." To verify the facts, I contacted our plumber again. He confirmed that Hendricks was responsible and explained the situation: During the rough-in of our home, Hendricks informed the plumbing contractor that the boiler they were installing for the in-floor heat would also provide domestic hot water. Based on that information, the plumber did not run a separate vent for a water heater because one wasn't supposed to be needed. During the finish stage, Hendricks realized they had made a mistake and determined the boiler they had specified would not provide domestic hot water after all. They then instructed the plumber to use the existing 3-inch pipe that had been connected to the furnace combustion air intake as the water heater vent, with the furnace instead pulling combustion air from the mechanical room. This decision was made because the drywall had already been completed, and there was no practical way to install another vent. After learning this, I again attempted to contact Hendricks by phone, text, and email. I received no response. My calls have been ignored, screened, or disconnected. I would have much preferred to discuss this issue and give the company an opportunity to address it, but after repeated attempts to communicate, I was left with no response. Unfortunately, this is not the only issue we've experienced with Hendricks. We have a 9-degree temperature difference in one bathroom, previously had an 11-degree variance in another zone, have dealt with water leaks, stuck dampers, insulation stuffed into ductwork, loose vent covers, and an improperly installed dryer vent. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Hendricks. Mistakes can happen on any project, but how a company responds afterward says a great deal about its professionalism. In our case, they chose not to communicate or take responsibility, and that has been the most disappointing part of this experience.

Benito was our checkup person and he was wonderful. Informed, professional and no hard sell. We bought a dual furnace and heat pump system to both heat and cool our house. We were so impressed with the installation guys. Liam, Jackson and I'm sorry but I can't remember the name of the other gentleman. They were all very considerate laying down tarps over their walkways and respecting our house. They kept us informed every step of the way. Our new system is more efficient (90% to 97%) and the thermostat allow almost total control of the system. I can't say enough about the staff from the receptionist to Travis to the installation team. I got a quote within a range and like all other things, I expected the final price to be at the higher end. The technician did a great job removing the old unit and installing the new one showing that he'd obviously done this many times. I'm always concerned because these guys are on the clock and my cynical self says it doesn't matter how long it takes because it just gets reflected in the bill. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived the next week. The total cost was at the lower end of the quote with an excellent job as a bonus.
