I can't overstate how wonderful the RH team is. We interviewed a lot of design + build firms and they won out (and were very patient along the way as we went back and forth with questions and requests to meet again... and again). This is the first time we've taken on a project like this and I had a lot of anxiety and concerns, and they helped every step of the way helping me understand the what ifs, the process, the opportunities of when or how to modify decisions, etc. We also have a very shy cat who requires some extra care when strangers are around, and the main builder on our project has been so accomodating and respectful of our needs to support her through the construction, and he ensured all other parties did the same. The quality of craftmanship is outstanding, not just the RH crew but all of their subcontractors as well. You will always hit bumps in the road along the way but I feel like we were in the best hands possible to navigate those bumps. We've had such a stellar experience with RH -- from first inquiries, to design meetings, to the actual work -- that we will 100% return to them for any of our needs, and are already thinking through the next possible project with them.

Red House guided us through major renovations, new heating system, air conditioning, replacement of all the windows in our home after they discovered interior mold, finishing our basement, new bathrooms and kitchen, etc. We trusted that Red House would provide the highest quality products and finishes and they delivered. Red House is not the most inexpensive, however you get what you pay for, excellence ! We highly recommend Red House, you will not be disappointed.

If you want quality work, excellent communication, and ease of mind, hire Build Pros. We originally wanted to have our microwave vented out (rather than circulating air and grease in the kitchen) and add a second banister to the stairs to the basement to make them more safe for our growing toddler. We were also considering having our spare basement bathroom remodeled. The bathroom really wasn't very functional because it was built in pieces (so the gross tiny stall shower wasn't even in the bathroom). That was a big job, and we wanted to get a quote for all three pieces. The first two jobs were too small on their own, so we hired Build Pros for all three. They were amazing to work with, and the work they did was the highest of quality. The team was extremely communicative, and we always knew when they were coming, what they were doing next, and what to expect. Their spreadsheet system made it really easy for everyone to keep track of what we had selected, costs, etc. They helped us a ton with design decisions, made recommendations when appropriate, and made sure we were happy with absolutely everything before moving forward. Our house stayed unbelievably clean, given the level of work they were doing, throughout the process. Mike and Rouben were fantastic at reimagining the layout of our bathroom, taking all of our priorities into consideration. John, their carpenter, is a master. We went way over budget, but a lot of that was my fault. I wanted a bathroom that was functional, but the more we talked and designed, the more I realized we actually could get a really *nice* bathroom that wasn't just functional, but high end. They did a bunch of other random things in the area too. We just were so happy with their work, and they were already there, so we asked them to fit in a few small things and they were awesome in getting those done too (adding a couple outlets in the adjacent home gym, replacing our outdoor water spigots, etc.). We are extremely happy with the final products. We even had a water problem shortly after they finished. They fixed it swiftly with no charge. It might have been a part issue or a labor issue, and so in the beginning it was unclear whether we were going to have to pay for repairs right away. I would have been very disappointed if they had charged us, and have all the more confidence in them since they fixed it and stood by the work and warranty. The only real negative was that sometimes when we had to make a decision, and the team gave us a quick "off the cuff" estimate about how much a few different options would cost, the estimate was really a fair amount lower than estimated. That contributed to some of our cost increase, but in the end I think we would have made the same decisions regardless. We're extremely happy with the final products. We even hired them again and they're starting work at my mother-in-laws house this week! I'm already dreaming of putting an addition on our house in the future, and we will hire them absolutely if/when we do this.

I was shocked at how expensive piers were and spent a substantial amount of time doing my homework to find the best pier for the money in my opinion. I worked with Kerry from Jack Docks to help me understand all of the options that were available and he was instrumental in helping me finalize my pier needs. I took delivery of the pier about a month ago and in two days I was able to assemble all of the the sections. The quality of the product was actually a pleasant surprise as it was much nicer and sturdier than I had anticipated. I ordered 11 pier sections, 14 screw Jack Dock legs, aluminum deck panels and a shore ramp. Assemble was a breeze. I am so happy with the pier. I can't emphasize enough how helpful Kerry was in helping me figure out all the pieces that were necessary for the layout. He was just a phone call away whenever I had any questions. I am waiting for the ice to melt off the lake in northern Wisconsin to complete my installation. I will update this review and include some photos once I get it in the lake.

I would give the contractor Robert Marcello and who is works with a negative number if I could…read more Robert is by far the most rude, inconsistent, unprofessional person to work with. He disregards emails. He ignores true problems. He writes inappropriate and condescending emails. For example: He painted our entire interior of our home beige. I asked specifically for "lazy gray" in which I chose, infront of several people, in his office. He pointed to his wall color, which was beige, and stated " this is the color I usually use". I stated " I do not like beige, I would like to choose a different color". He proceeded to show me the paint swatches, and I chose "lazy gray". The house was painted beige and then proceeded to tell me that I chose beige and that I am crazy. I refused to pay for the interior to be repainted, and so did he. SECONDLY, I have been asking for ONE YEAR via email for our landscape to be cleaned up. His workers grinded stumps and trees and left ALL OF THE REMNENTS everywhere in my yard, in massive piles. He says this is not his problem. I had to pay THOUSANDS of dollars to remove the enormous piles from my yard. He continues to ignore my emails. THIRD, and certainly not last, we had a leak in our basement. I asked for an assessment as our one year warranty was still valid. He sent plumbers over for 11 minutes, fixed it and sent me a $450 bill because it was "user error" and not under the warranty. I'm sorry, NOT ONE PERSON called to let me know this would not be under the warranty. NOR did anyone call to tell me that it would cost $450. If someone asked prior to fixing this and gave this information, I would have laughed in their face and had my husband do it for $10.  The two plumbers were at my house for 11 minutes and I was charged for 2 hours of work? Absolutely ridiculous. I received a call today from the company about not paying the invoice. I said I am not paying this due to the above reasons and he said he will see me in court! :) I will absolutely be there and we can discuss the other punch items that were not addressed at my property.
