It seems like a lot of RV shops and mobile mechanics have their share of excuses why they can't help with your particular problem, and blame it all on your camper's brand or age or whatever. If there's something that's beyond what he can do (and there isn't much), he'll propose some creative workaround that gets you what you need, simply and pretty inexpensively. The inspection took over half a day to conduct and he provided a massive 57 page report to us by 6:00PM the same day. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable and was very patient with us on explaining all his findings. We were not Navion experts or even RV experts so we had a lot of questions. He is very efficient and responded back to us very quickly when we were first setting up our partnership. All the paperwork is online and very easy and quick to complete for payment and terms of the contract. He is a very conscientious person and most importantly these days he is very trustworthy. He was here for 15…read moreminutes, seemed knowledgeable and professional and he explained why he knew it was the cooling unit that needed to be replaced and gave her an estimate for $1700-2100 to replace it. He charged $400 to come about to our place for 15 minutes and when I asked if he would credit the cost off the estimate towards the repair if we do it with him, he said no. He actually gets paid $400 to drive 1 hour round trip and says the reason why things are so expensive is because "It's a motorhome". Turns out the price to replace the cooling unit is $600, but we should pay $2500 for a couple hours of work. Every service call I have ever had has credited the cost off the diagnosis to the cost of the repair, except this guy. Just be aware. Ask all the questions.

I went to Wayne and Sons Automotive in Santa Rosa due to a check engine light after I had replaced all of the supposed reasons for the check engine light and it was still on. My own mechanic was as confused about it as I was so I took it to Wayne because I had heard they were good. They told me they would fix it with parts costing nearly a $1,000.00 for two parts that I can buy elsewhere for both under $50.00. That $1,000.00 amount does not include labor. When I went in to set up an appointment, the couple ahead of me were told that Wayne's diagnostic charge was $189.00! I took it in the next day and when I went to pick it up after Wayne told me the exceptionally exorbitant prices if they did the work they handed me a bill for doing only the diagnostics and charged me $296.00!! What a RIPOFF!!! Because that other couple were young and I am a 78 year old man does that entitle them to charge me half again what they were charged? Maybe age discrimination?
