I've been shopping at this Lowe's for about a year now, having purchased a house in Deland. As with…read morenew "old house" purchases, there is a lot of work I'm doin. I would usually go to Home Depot because I am also a Home Depot stockholder however Lowe's is close to my house. As a result I have spent over $12,000 in the last 12 months getting my washer my dryer and also renovating my bathroom, changing my ceiling fans, buying paint, and all that goes with that type of Renovation It's been very expensive and for the most part I've been happy (Mostly thanks to Anthony in appliances) Today I went to return an item because I bought an extra one just in case the guy needed it. It only cost about $10-$15 each. When I went to the return registered to return it and gave them my credit card which they traced to my purchase I was told that they couldn't return it because it was over 90 days. It was also totally intact in the original packaging and they are still selling it. I can't really think of a good reason why they would not have returned something and giving me credit when they still sell it except That their customer service is getting poor. Admittedly, I haven't returned a lot of things here and I guess that's good for them but this type of customer service is bad. I asked to see a manager and a guy, Christian said he was in charge of the front desk. I'm not sure if that means he's a manager or they were just sending anyone out because they weren't going to give me credit. He didn't have "manager" on his name tag. There's not much I can do if they're not going to give me credit on the spot, but what I can do is never go to Lowe's. I had already been in talks with their kitchen renovation people to do a full renovation in my kitchen. I guess you know I will not be using them for that. It's not enough that all the prices all over are so expensive and elevated almost 100% more than it was five years ago today but now them refusing to take a perfectly good item back that I purchased from them when they still sell it because it was a little over 90 days is terrible. What else is this country gonna be messed up in and when are the consumers going to be considered never wrong again? Not today at least not at Lowe's. They've seen me for the last time.

Just by freak accident I found out they failed to put plastic down over the cement floor before install. They did come back and redo the whole job again. Now I have raised sections of floor. A choice I regret because not only did the replacement of my gutters took an unnecessary amount of time to do, but when the soffit was removed, rodents found their way into the attic space because of the exorbitant amount of time that had passed before anythin was done. I had expressed multiple time my concern that having the attic exposed for too long would bring vermin into my home...only for any action to finally be done weeks AFTER proof of mice/rats crawling in and out of my roof through the exposed areas where he removed my soffit! I gave grace because he was goin through alot at that time, but explained my stress and had to deal with the clean up of the damage personal property the rodents chewed on to make their nests...ontop of having to deal with the mistake of Justin (owner of Phelps) tellin me to put moth balls in the attic. Trying to give this small family company another shot, I contracted to have my windows done around 2021. I requested a quote and did not complain about the price nor, considered "haggling". I trusted the price was fair and reasonable. I was told that when the windows arrived, it would be 3 months for them to be installed...which turned into 6 months...that turned into now 2years. When I asked when they were goin to be done near or after the expiration of each timeline Justin gave me, it was met with hostility and accusations of being ungrateful for not being patient enough for a job that he gave me a discount for (which was never requested) and that if I wanted the job to be done faster, I would have to pay more. During one of the times Justin had a few of his coworkers over to do SOME of the work, one of them (who was/is a drug addict) invited their girlfriend that I knew to be a drug addict and she invited herself into my house without my permission and while I was not present at my house. Because I made the statement that I do not want any of his coworkers inside my house and that he (Justin) was the only one allowed to finish the job because of concerns with having potential drug addicts (which he has hired several and knew of their habits) or past convicts inside my house, I was blocked from contacts. The current office worker, Shannon, tried to interject herself in conversations that she was told she did not need to be a part of due to the nature of these conversations (which, according to Justin, also told her to not be a part of), ended with multiple text messages from her with the use of profanity, including calling me a cunt and bitch and threatening me. After multiple attempts of contact last month to finalize this drawn out project and avoid having to go to another company. It was confirmed I was blocked and ignored and I had to pay additional money for someone else to come out and finish a paid and contracted job that Justin started 2 years ago. It's sad that people who claim to be 7th Day Adventists treat paying customers in such a manner that goes against the religious beliefs that which they loudly profess. Even more upsetting that when you hold these people accountable to their promises and actions, they attack you to protect their self-image. BBB will receive a complaint as well as this message repeated across all possible platforms to warn people of the verbal abuse and hypocrisy of this company and it's workers & owner(s)

In the past Ron's has been our go to for plumbing issues and always had fantastic service at a reasonable cost. On Ron's recommendation I called 4 Towns Plumbing. Again, Ron's never let me down. 4 Towns did a great job and reasonable.
