I'll note that I have owned several homes and have hired contractors for various projects throughout the years. This is to say that I have a pretty good sense for good and bad. So here you go... I cannot say that my experience with MYWH Construction ranks very high. Bottom line is that we did not get the end product that we desired and we certainly paid premium for this service. The issue is that there were a lot of conversations between me and the owner so it comes down to who's word you believe more as to what was expected versus what was delivered. But I know this. In all businesses that require customer loyalty, the customer is always right. As we got towards the end of the various projects, I started to question what I thought was missing. Then the communication broke down completely and he (and his crew) stopped communicating. My wife would call and text to see if they were going to show up and the never gave the courtesy of a response. I regret my choice in choosing MYWH Construction. They had come highly recommended by my real estate agent - with whom I hold in high regard. I would advise folks who are considering this type of work to interview several before deciding (which is my typical process). In fact, in the early stages of the project, I got estimates for additional work and MYWH came in 2x the price. The other contractor did great work. Second piece of advice would be to choose a contractor near your residence. This shop was 45 min to an hour away which is probably one of the reasons why they were untimely. It is a shame too because fixing a few small things would have made a big difference. Updated details based on owner's response…read more Stay away.  We hired 1 Day Bath on March 2nd and they promised they would complete our kitchen renovation by May 1st (my wife was 30 weeks pregnant at the time). We made all payments in a prompt manner. We found out later they use fake positive reviews and stock photos on their website (and probably here too, see news article at the end).   At the project's beginning, work went quickly in clearing out the old kitchen.  Because of this, we also hired 1 Day  Bath to renovate our fireplace and do minor bathroom work.  They assured us the additional work would not interfere with the kitchen project (different work crews they said) and everything would still be completed by May 1st.  It turns out 'work crews' meant one person and we never had more than one worker show up on the same day. After kitchen demolition, the project moved along at a snail's pace.  Our project manager rarely showed up and did not communicate the progress of our project to us or others in the company.  One month in he left the company and no one replaced him thus leaving our project without a supervisor.  I would frequently text/call Don (owner) about the disappointment in the project progress.  He would make meaningless apologies/excuses.  The pace never picked up and he never once visited on site even when the project was left without any supervision. From March 15th to May 2nd, we had absolutely no kitchen and no working being done. It was a huge room of just concrete, with a big trench in the middle of the kitchen floor (not safe for anyone, let alone for a family with pets and a 35+ week pregnant woman).  Why would they remove our old kitchen if the new kitchen wasn't going to be installed for several months?  Our refrigerator was in the garage and we cooked on a portable stove.  We still didn't have a functional kitchen by the time our baby was delivered on May 17th.   From June to August a worker would show up sporadically for still unfinished items such as installing the backsplash, painting, cabinet handle fixtures, etc. In early August most of the work was finally 'complete' (three months past promised completion date). We requested the standard final walkthrough before final payment as agreed in the contract (per contract, 25% of the payment is pending on final walkthrough). On August 7th, a newly hired site supervisor came out and agreed that some work was not up to par and more work needed to be done.  However, he said he must collect the final check or they would sue us.  He wrote an email with a to-do list, promising to return within three weeks to finish/fix everything.  He wouldn't leave until he had the check. Concerned about our family safety, we reluctantly handed over the final check (yep I know, that was not smart and I should have called the police). The email stated (which Don was included on) the site supervisor promised to return within three weeks, which would be Saturday, Aug 28th.  On the 28th (talk about cutting it close) at 11:30 he called and said he needed to reschedule to Sunday "due to unforeseeable circumstances".  On Sunday he never showed and stopped responding to my text messages and calls.  At this point I naturally assumed our business together was done and when I wrote the initial review and started planning for small claims court. Weeks later Don texted having no idea about the timeline above and asked about 'fixing all the things that were installed wrong' (does no one communicate with each other in this company?). Any 'fix' to the flooring would be a band aid. It was not installed properly and needs to be completely redone (the estimates I received from professional flooring companies thought I installed it). This is something Don refuses to acknowledge. Don's response is simply not true on all accounts. At no point was anyone anything but polite to the workers. The allegations against my wife's parents (this is insulting) are completely false and there is no recording. The actual workers really liked us and we keep in touch for odd jobs. I have no issue with them, wasn't their fault. We received a 1% discount (wow, thanks!) for the items that were not completed on the contract. I guess for paying $91,000 I was expecting a lot more: such as staying on the promised time schedule due to a newborn coming home, not not having a kitchen for three months with not work being done, having a project manager, communication on project status/timeline, and high quality work. The company has a past. This company came recommended to me by another construction related business. My initial impression…read morewas positive. The came out, look at my proposed job and provided an estimate. When the time came to actually start the initial stages of work, they proposed a time when I could not be home. Based off my initial positive impression, I agreed. The day before the work was to be done and with no prior notice, they demanded payment in full before ever setting foot on my property. I offered to provide payment when they arrived, if they would reschedule to a time when I could be there to see the work being done. They declined to reschedule and only sent snide emails saying they could no longer do the job. That is a gigantic red flag for fraud in my book. Use this company at your own risk. Follow up to the owners response. There was no advance notice stating payment was required in advance. I was only notified by email the day before that payment was required in full before the visit. I would never have agreed to have the work done without me being there if this was known. I DID NOT refuse to pay. I attempted to reschedule when I could be there. My calls and e-mail were ignored until I finally received a snide email from Ms. Lawler saying your policy of payment in advance was clearly listed in the quote. I double checked. There was no mention of advance payment being required anywhere in the quote. I made every effort to rectify the situation before posting this review. Your response was decidedly unprofessional.

We went to their warehouse and selected 2 different materials; 1 granite and 1 quartz. They had a really nice selection to choose from. We were both pleasantly suprised with the estimate for both. Lowes and HD didn't want to do a small job (1 @ 72", 1@ 43") so they said it would be over $1K each. Synergy scheduled the onsite measuring within a few days and had our tops ready to install within a week from the measure. The demo and install went smoothly and the installers left everything clean and tidy. Can't say enough good things about them.
