I don't often hawk local service providers, but felt compelled to with SPS - these guys/gals are…read moresimply awesome. After a near-miss with some lightning, which completely knocked out my First Alert system, I found out how Ackerman makes all their money - the estimate was over $650 to replace the board and that didn't include any additional bits that might need replacing (had to replace two door sensors too). I ended up buying my own Ademco kit and hiring SPS for both the install and monitoring. This time I went with a wireless unit for phone (the lightning came in via the phone line - it actually hit the service pole). A call brought Bo Beaven from SPS out to look things over and give me an estimate - their hourly rate was HALF what Ackerman charges - and since I got my own equipment when John the installer came out it was a breeze, and half again the estimated time I got from Ackerman. The entire experience was fantastic. I also ended up using them for the monitoring - which came out about the same as what Ackerman was charging me, even with the added expense for the cell service on the wireless phone. Recently I was throwing a code and was able to get a human on the phone with the first call, and get a live technician with instructions to clear the code over the phone. To top it off they're coming by next week to take another look to make sure that there isn't an issue with the wireless - that's what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Not that they have received ALL of their money they refuse to assist us in helping us achieve a fully functioning system. Recently some of the programming went "wonky" which is part of the issue they caused with the driver's they installed and the owner literally told me to reach out to the guy who sold us the system who no longer works for AAA, how crazy is that. When I called to confront him about this ludicrous statement he told me to "shut up"! Being a business owner for nearly 2 decades I truly understand customer service and ethical conduct as a business owner and Phillip Ampel the owner of AAA is probably one of the most unprofessional, dishonest individuals I have come across. I will update this review accordingly in the future with also pictures of how they left the Control4 cabinet install etc. once I get them uploaded. I will also update it accordingly to give insight as to how things are going with AAA in terms of getting our system operating as we were promised it would at contract completion. That did not deter him from spending time with me. He clearly understands developing a potential relationship for the long-term. I really expected Evolution to be VERY Home Theater centered. While they certainly have that expertise, they also have a ton of two channel HiFi! I would say their point of entry is the mid-fi market, but really specializing in Hi-Fi to the Super Hi-Fi. Scott took me around and we had fun listening to some amazing set-ups. They are very McIntosh heavy. This was by far the largest amount of McIntosh gear I have seen on display. They also carry Rotel and Marantz on the electronics side. For speakers, they have Dynaudio and Sonus Faber mostly. For analogue they carry some beautiful EAT tables. The shop is definitely drool worthy. Super amazing gear, beautiful set-up, and a friendly non-discriminating staff. I would say for the most part this is a "cost no object" type of place. Travis told me they were so new we had to order it to get in line for them so he did. After a month or so the projector came in ahead of schedule. This upgrade was also for all the gaming I do in my theater room so this projector could do 4k 120HZ which was something my last projector could not do. Travis sent Rafeal over to install the projector and some fancy switch and we had to get new HDMI cables that could carry 4k 120 HZ. Well the switch would not do what was advertised they tried for a long time to get the switch to do the 120 but it would not. They came out a second time this time with Rafeal and Chris they worked a long time making calls and looking stuff up to figure out what the problem was. The kept me informed of the plan to fix it which involved putting a new board in my receiver and ditching the fancy switch. So the third time they came out again always on time if not a little early. They got it working in no time with the proper piece they needed. We cannot stress enough how pleasant it was working with Travis, Rafeal, and Chris. I strongly suggest using GHT it is a local owned company and they do amazing work if you are interested in High end stuff. I used to try and save money and use the big box places but they just do not have the skills nor the equipment that GHT can get a hold of. They are super knowledgeable you will not regret using them.
