He said that he could swing by same day and take a look at what the problem is. It turns out there were a few problems with the unit: the core issue was an electrical problem, but the AC unit was also sinking into the ground and had not been serviced in many, many years. After about an hour, I was thrilled when our unit was back up and running. Nemat will be returning in about a week to ensure that everything is running smoothly. In addition to being knowledgeable, Nemat is a really personable guy and was thoughtful enough to wear a mask the entire time. I had called other electrician companies and all their emergency service appointments were all booked up. Calling Vaccarella Electric Services should have been my first call. Roberto picked up and wanted to solve the issue immediately over the phone. My initial diagnosis was completely off and in less than 3 minutes Roberto was able to determine the issue based on what I told him and answering his questions of what I saw. He told me to head outside and look at the piping connected to the meter. When I did, the meter was throwing up, "888888." That confirmed to me Roberto's diagnosis. It turned out to be a PSEG matter which saved me from having to get charged a service call. They installed a chandelier and replaced 2 light fixtures for me in a UES concrete ceiling apartment. The pros: -Super professional installation people. Had an onsite estimate given, and they clearly knew their stuff. Advised me quickly on possibilities and what wasn't possible. -Installation occurred right on time. -Installers covered all flooring and wore covers on their shoes to protect all surfaces. Also carefully moved furniture from the install area. -Installers worked very hard to measure and drill properly so that I did not need to repaint the entire ceiling. They were successful! -Shockingly low dust from the install. The cons: -when I have a bug to get something done immediately, I want it, well, immediately. I had to wait a week to get the install set, but that is really quite reasonable.
