Went back a second time. It was a Saturday this time and it was packed. There isn't a ticket number system so you pretty much just have to keep track of your place in line. Parent tip: if you're the type of parent that is bothered by rap and cuss words, beware. They play unedited rap so beware if you're sensitive. I on the other hand, don't mind because my kid and I have an understanding about what's what. duh! We got David as our barber this time. Awesome attention to detail. Straightest line up ever, takes his time, and patient with a fidgety kid. So if you care if you're lines are straight, go to him. We watched him work on other folks and he's pretty legit and does take his time. Also, I only had to show him a photo of what we wanted once and he copied pretty close. Everyone looks like they can cut hair well, except the barber I got of course. Took over 45min for a simple fade and still had to have someone finish the cut for him who, turns out, ended up completely messing up the back of my neck (pic provided). I almost didn't want to pay the $20 for the cut (which is higher than anywhere else I've gone) but did so because I didn't want to cause a scene. THE WORST BARBERSHOP! I've been here a total of 4 times and each time I've been here, I had one of the worst hair cuts of all time; not to mention, the customer service is horrible, there were a few times where I've came in and waited for over an hour or 2 because the barber's friends would come in and ask for cuts and basically cut in front of the line. It seems this shop has their own clientele and if you're not one of them, they will cut your hair like they don't care and they don't even have the decency to greet u as u walk in the door if you're not a regular. I asked each of the 4 barbers I've gone to not to cut too high and guess what?! They cut super high each time! And some of the barbers can't cut a fade to save their life. The only reason I went the 4 times is because my regular barbershops were closed or my usual barbers were off that day and I've regretted each and every time. It's not fair for a Barbershop like this to get away with their disrespectful service and horrible hair cuts. I normally don't leave feedback on social media etc, but I've had enough with this Barbershop and I just want to let everyone know and warn them NOT TO COME HERE (they have low/negative feedback for a reason). If you're choosing to come to this Barbershop, my suggestion is go to another one or wait a day or 2 to go to your usual Barbershop--I've learned my lesson. read more

Took my son to get his first hair cut ever. I chose this place after a friend of mine who rocks a different hairstyle everyday, told me a barber named Mario cuts his hair. We wales in and the place has your typical hometown barber shop feel. Mario went ahead and began cutting off his hair (which was down to his lower back), kept my 4 year old calm, and 30 minutes later, finished a haircut better than I imagined. Great shop atmosphere. Very clean. The issue was with the Barbers didn't seem to care if anyone was waiting. I was the only one in line waiting and 2 barbers we're available. They were chatting for 10-20 minutes with no one in their chairs. Great way to waste customers time. Decided to walkout and go t a different shop. read more

I've only been to this place twice, but they always do a great job. I had my haircut previously by one of the ladies, her chair is straight through when you enter. This time I had a gentleman, didn't catch his name, though his chair is the first on the right. I asked for a 0 on the sides, hard part, faded, squared in the back and he did a fantastic job. Even squared the front off for me and checked in and asked me questions when he wanted my opinion. I read other reviews saying they didn't see their licenses or anything like that, but I checked and they're all clearly displayed. My barber is in Oceanside, so since I'm an Escondido local now, I'll make this my one stop shop! read more

David has been my sons barber for the past 2 years and he is simply the BEST! His cuts are rediculously always on point!! He pays close attention to detail, takes his time, professional, and the cleanest lines ever! Everyone at the shop here is so professional and very skilled and although we only go to David I am always soooo impressed with all of the Barbers!...You can walk in, choose any of them, and be sure you are going to walk out looking amazing!...Sometimes there is a bit of a wait because this shop does get busy, but it's so worth it!...It's a busy shop for a reason because it's GREAT!! read more

This place is near by and usually doesn't have a wait. I got a haircut here about a month ago and it was fine. This week I went in there and nobody greeted me or said anything when I walked in. Usually pretty busy but that's because they know what they're doing and they take their time on each head. My son is 5 and he likes getting his haircut by Manny because he's real down to earth with him. I don't recommend any of the lady stylists though, no offense at all. read more

Absolutely the worst place to get a haircut. Was just in there the other day the girl who works in the first chair as soon as you walked in didn't even take pride in her cut. I showed her a picture on how i wanted my hair to look and she didnt even do what i asked for. She Took 20mins and completely butchered my hair. I did not like the fact that you have an appointment at a certain hour and your get seen like 2 hours later by the person that confirmed the appointment with me by text to get my hair done! It's terrible!! I have walked out on him 3 times now cuz I get tired of waiting two and plus hours... I'm there on time and he has one person on the seat and another waiting! Really??? learn how to set up your times! Im not going to lie Mario is good but this shit of telling me one time and gots me waiting two hours is not cool at all!!! It's like you got my number let me know you are behind and I'll come later but noooo... I need to find a new barber as this one is unprofessional when it comes to scheduleing his appointments. I came here to get my haircut two months ago. I had heard good things abot this place form some of my customers and decided that I would give it a try. Upon entering the shop everything seemed cool, I was able to see hwo the regulars were and there was a good vibe for the most part. I went to look at the prices and they seemed fair. 17 dollars for a men's haircut or so i thought. After waiting for literally almost two hours i get to sit in a chair (i won't say the barber's name). I asked him to take my hair down on the sides, nothing special. After he was done it turned out to be a pretty decent cut. When I go to pay him he tells me that the cut was 25 dollars which was absolutely absurd (I pay 15 at the shop i go to). Needless to say, I paid him and decided against coming back here. I guess that each barber in here is allowed to make his own price instead of following the standard price up on the sign. If you decide to get your hair cut here, be sure to ask your barber what his price is. You've been warned. read more

I took my son here for the third time, last visit being 31 January 2015. This was the last straw! I can deal with crowds, bad customer service but blatant disrespect is unprofessional and no place for a business. We arrived at 9:17, there was 2 people ahead of my son, because there isn't adequate parking, I let him go in & I drove around the block until someone left. There was three barbers inside Allen, Nestor & a female ( I don't know her name). Mario arrived to help because by then both sides of the waiting chairs were filling. Mario cut one person, I won't deny everyone cuts well in this shop. What I do have serious issues with is Mario's attitude at a business, not one person displaying a business or barbering license, no Barbicide any where in that establishment. I watched each barber & not one of them changed their straight razor the whole time I was there (3 hours total, felt like I was at a beauty shop!!!!!) I know that's a health code violation, as well as not cleaning the combs after each use and having your license posted. At the very least sweep the floor. My son has an infection from where they used the straight razor. He's been to the doctor twice, and I just filed a complaint with the board or barbering & cosmetology. I am very particular about their haircuts and this place was recommended by a friend once so I decided to give it a try. They always end up looking super sharp with all the care and time that goes into their haircuts. All the staff is friendly but our favorite barber is David. This place is usually packed but David is really good about making and keeping appointments on time.
