Not a repeat. The great: Only a few mins wait for a cut. Cut only took a few mins. We were in and out in like 30 mins. The just how it is: Everyone was nice. It's been years since I'd been in a great clips. Back when it was 6.99. Now it's $20-23. That's just the increased cost of things now. Plus $5 tip. Reviews I thought it was for women n kids but only men were getting their hair cut. No recent photos but reviews recently seemed great. The bad: Asked if the example photos we had were possibly for my daughter's hair type. Thick. Straight. And added we don't have curling irons or any products. Is this an easy style? Was told Yes and that she could do it. Ok great so she got started. Again very nice ladies working here. After finished my daughter covered in hair I was a bit surprised how the cut looked. I asked if there's something we need to know. Advice on how to obtain the example look. She responded well her hair is just so thick. As if to say no. I asked if the starting hair cut was a problem, she said no, only one small hidden area was too short but she said it was hidden so not an issue. So I'm not sure why she cut her hair so short and boxy. She thinned it a little. But if this cut isn't possible with thick hair, a simple Not recommended would have been nice instead of yes then attempt then act like it's great and when I ask about getting it to look like the example then say oh it's just too thick. No other suggestions on how to fix it or alternative cuts, just nada. Also no clean up of the hair at all, I remember being brushed off a bit after cuts and the place we use to go always cleaned up the hair. There was sooo much hair on my daughter's shirt n face. We cleaned her off in the parking lot. I still tipped 25% because again, she was nice and can cut better than we can and it's just rough financially for everyone, so I tip. Not sure how to fix this. We stink at being assertive so my daughter just said "it's fine." We spent the evening watching tutorials on how to fix it but seems growing it back out and maybe asking a few places their options for her hair type is the best solution. Not a repeat. read more

Great place for good quick haircuts. They fixed my toddler boys hair after his first haircut ever was botched so bad at Sharkey's. I think our stylists name at Great Clips was Diana. She was super nice and friendly, and she was great with my 2 year old. She fixed his hair and did an amazing job given the state of his hair when we arrived. The employees here are great! They work hard and have all been very personable. You can check in online which helps set expectations for wait times. They are a casual and quick service salon. The woman on the phone read it back to us, confirming we had an appointment for 1 PM on 3-18-2023. Well, the day of our wedding comes, I drop my wife off at her hair appointment here, and when she comes inside with her dad to get her hair done, they tell her they don't make appointments here, that this is a walk-in hair salon only. My wife tells the person at the counter that an appointment was made and confirmed over the phone, and the person at the counter proceeds to tell her rudely to sit down and wait in a 40 MINUTE WAIT. Give it up for Cheryl here! Had a really bad haircut at another establishment prior to my visit that needed immediate attention that I had no hopes of being fixable. Although it wasnt the haircut I had originally sought after, she was able to work with me and gave me a cut im very happy with! She made sure I was able to see everything she was doing and explained and got permission from me before cutting anything. What started as a disaster ending being a surprisingly good look for me and she was able to do it very quickly and on top of that was fun to talk to and really made me feel comfortable in a crisis situation. Long story short I'm going to be going to her for my cuts from now on and it's great to have found a great hairstylist locally. Can't recommend her enough! read more

Second time here! Still hesitant as usual. The girl who cut my hair last time (Lynn) was not here today. So I went praying I would get the same service as last time. I had requested Brit (Brittney) that was just clocking in since I seen her name on here with a great review! I absolutely love my cut once again. I had her take the back up to my shoulders with an A-line front with a little layer only on the bottom. I came home straighten it and its perfectly texturized. Cant even explain how devastated I am of how my hair came out I wasted 22 dollars plus a 5 dollar tip. I asked the girl to cut 1inch off and give me layers but keep the length close to what I originally came in with. Came out with a mullet basically hair super short. My hair is a mess. Everything I told her went in 1 ear and out the other. She basically did what ever she wanted and ruined my hair. Don't even recommend coming here. She only judged my hair and didn't ask for opinion. This place is super convenient for me when I take my teenager to go get his haircut. We never have an appointment we are always walk-ins and I don't think I've ever been there longer than 20 minutes. The prices are super reasonable they'll add you to their system. Once in awhile in the mail you'll get a discount for your next haircut for like 7 bucks. My son really likes going there he'll tell the stylist how he wants his hair and they do it with no issues. Olga called me up and I explained to her that I have thin hair and like my hair scissor cut. No problem she said. Well she gave me the best haircut that I have had in years and I have been going back to Great Clips and requesting Olga ever since. Olga is also fun and very easy to talk to. It wasn't a bad cut but I wouldn't give it 4 or 5 stars. Very robotic and not warm. Can't beat the prices here though. I would give it a shot here, just don't expect all out crazy good service. we were driving by and saw they had a sale going on today so we stopped in and had my 2 boys get their hair cut. We got Cheryl and she did an amazing job, she was so great with my kids... They really liked her and felt great about themselves with their fresh new cuts. We recently stopped going to the Country Barbershop because their prices were outrageous and we were worried about the quality of cut we were going to get at a regular salon but we were beyond satisfied and impressed with how great Cheryl cut our boys hair.... This place is ridiculous. Before they put anyone on the floor the should get proper training on consultations and getting to know what overall look the clients wants. The client should be happy with what he/she walks out with. A family member walked in looking for a medium fade with a trim with shears on top. He walked out with an uneven on both sides (one side higher than the other) high and tight. It was not even blended and there was patches of hair left in the back. It looked liked she tried to achieve a Mohawk that was too wide? I can't even tell you what kind of style that was... It was NOT a proper haircut. The stylist should be held accountable of this improper work and be educated on consultations. I mean if you can't do the haircut or aren't comfortable with the kind of cut just say so. However I don't have COVID-19 but I have a cough due to Bronchitis. I was in the salon yesterday needing to get my haircut along with my mothers the receptionist who I spoke with told me to leave without questioning what was wrong with my coughing. I called the shop to try to explain what the situation was, however they refused to help me due to my coughing. As I said I don't have COVID-19 but the fact that they refused to give me a service along with my mother is considered discrimination. I am very upset with great clips salon I feel that the corporate office should investigate in the service that I received.
