The facility isn't big but not small. Just big enough for about 4-5 appointment. Receptionist was good, didn't take long to get checked in. Customer service and quality of care was above average. Very personable with my child. Filing an upcoming appointment was no issue. Facility was clean as well. Wish there was more than one bathroom. Service was relatively quick. read more

I'm not satisfied with this dentist at all. Set in the waiting area for almost an hour. Stated to the receptionist how much longer because my son can't sit for so long. He has autism the tv was so loud, they have the chairs sitting right under tv and it makes it even louder, the waiting area was so packed. Please be considerate that kids are not all the same. Some have special needs. So when I went to ask the receptionist t hey how much longer she said it will be a while because a family of 4 just came. When my son had a scheduled appointment, and had us waiting for so long. Kids with special needs cannot wait so long. In such loud over crowded waiting area. I will not be going back and if you're a parent with a child with special needs please avoid this dentist. Do better at protecting kids with special needs and make your waiting area comfortable for kids with special needs also. read more

I took my children here for over 10 years and loved it. Once Dr. Heaton sold the business it started to go downhill but the quality of care has become unacceptable in the last 2ish years. They do not have any knowledgeable dentists on site, long wait times despite having an appointment, they reschedule appointments regularly, and the friendly helpful staff of the past are nowhere to be found. We switched to Lone Star Dental and found out they are now owned by the same company and had the exact same issues. read more

Cons: Whoever is scheduling appointments and accepting walk-ins need to be more mindful of dental procedure times per patient BEFORE scheduling. Waited 45 mins from a scheduled appointment for my son to be called back for a routine checkup. During that time, was not updated once or apologized to on the delay. This place has gone beyond downhill. It fell straight off the cliff. Expect to wait for over an hour past your appointment time before you are seen. They will have walk ins seen before you and tell you that you are next over and over again. Don't waste your time with this place. They got bought out by some company and stopped caring. read more

Perhaps it's just me, but scheduling 15-20 kids at the same time is not going to generate positive reviews or experiences. And this has happened every single time we've been to this office. This was our 3rd visit and the last - no one should have to sit in a waiting room 45 minutes to an hour after a scheduled appointment only to be told it'll be ANOTHER 45 minutes to be seen. If you don't value our time, we cannot value your service. It's as simple as that. The front staff is nice enough, which is all fine and great, but even the 2 times we did actually make it to the back, it was chaos - no organization, 2 different technicians switching in and out of our child's mouth before the dentist even came by. The only good thing that ever came out of visiting was a referral to Smile Doctors Orthodontics. read more

We've been coming here for years and always felt like our kids received really great care! Even driving 45 minutes for appointments after we moved out of the immediate area. However, we will be looking for a new dentist's office after today's appointment. It must have changed ownership. It seemed like at every turn they were trying to upsell us on services and treatments while not being clear if they were actually needed or were just extras and were all out of pocket costs. They wouldn't give us a clear answer about whether or not our kids had any cavities and would say, "Maybe, but you really should do the X-rays if you want to know." We did X-rays on our last visit and insurance only pays once a year. So I'm guessing there were no obvious cavities, but honestly I'm left feeling really uneasy and unsure of the state of my kid's teeth. We left with questions that only had vague answers. It didn't feel like they cared about our kids or making medical decisions based on actual needs and more about how they could add services like sealants/polishes that we're not sure are actually necessary. My daughter has always had great reports from the dentists and hygienists and today they quoted us over $300 for sealants. I feel like we might be paying out of pocket to get clear answers from another dentist about the state of our children's teeth. Very disappointed. We will not be back. read more

Had an appointment made for my youngest daughter yesterday. Apparently, the receptionist tried to call me but said my number was wrong on file. However, earlier in the week, they were able to send a text message with a link to a 5-page questionnaire and an email to confirm the appointment, which was made weeks in advance. Whoever tried calling only tried once, and they probably misdialed... Upon getting to the office, we were asked to reschedule due to an unforeseen death on the Dentists' side (understandable and we send our condolences if true); we were able to reschedule it for today at the same time. Before leaving, I asked if I could confirm the appointment since it was a rescheduling error on their behalf. I was told, "No problem." Fast forward to today, the receptionist tells me I might have to reschedule since I didn't confirm my rescheduled appointment which was literally under 24 hours ago... I've checked my missed calls, voice mail, my emails, but nothing from this establishment. After explaining the situation to the receptionist, she told me she would have to talk to her dentist to see if they would see my daughter because "their schedule is all booked up"... The young lady comes back and tells me that "We can see your daughter today, but it will take about another 25 minutes before she can be seen; this is why it's important to confirm your appointment"... Everything would've been fine if it wasn't for that last little snarky comment... This dentistry office needs to look at its day-to-day operations and front desk courtesies. Either they don't have a Group Practice Manager who knows what they're doing, or they need to retrain the front desk staff. After that little snarky comment, I'm convinced that they need both. We will definitely take our business elsewhere. read more

This office has gone way downhill. I've taken my kids here for six years. Recently there has been a change in staff and doctors. They no longer take my primary insurance and did not inform me of this change. Many of my friends have been receiving bills from them, for services they've never received bills for in the past. I found the previous owner and doctors in Cedar Park, and made the switch to that office. This clinic use to have five stars and great reviews, now it barely has three stars and you'll see all the negative posts from the recent months. I originally gave them five stars five years ago, but now am forced to change my review to allow future potential patients to have the full picture. read more

The workers here were super friendly and caring. My niece has autism and it was her first time visiting a dentist today and they made sure to make her experience comfortable and enjoyable for her. We had Nurse Rose and Dr. Park assist in getting River acquainted with the dentist routines and ready for her next visit. Definitely recommend going here if you have children! read more

I wish I could leave 0 starts but in order to leave review then it will be 1. I have two kids( one just turn 1 year and the other one is 2 1/2). We moved in June here at Harker Heights and we waited for 1 month to get this appointment because my kids were new patients. Now, I completely understand that. Today finally was the day of the appointment . One appointment was at 9:30 am and the other one at 10:10 am. We arrived 9:25 am( they sent a link a day before for you to check in and put all info needed) which I thought was great. Now, from 9:30 am to 10:10 am 3 different patients came in after us and they took them first before us. My husband asked what's going on and Their excuse was that they only had one doctor. Ok. I understand things change last minute but we don't think that's a fair excuse for them to take patients walking in after us first and more because they have only one doctor today. Every patient will go in and out very easy. Front desk ladies didn't apologize and realize what was happening. We didn't like this and we said that we were leaving... the front desk lady just responded : would you like to reschedule ? ..HELL NO. This was a very disrespectful situation ( time Is gold for everybody)and they didn't care. I will not recommend this place and more if they are short in doctors after waiting one month for this appointment. read more

I took my 17 year old daughter for a check up, she has several issues. The Doctor told me she was too complicated and referred me to another dentist. The dental assistant that was helping us was very very nice and helpful, she took us to their Office manager, she promised she would look into my daughters case and see if another doctor on their team could help her. I've called and left 3 messages with the office manager still have not received a call. After feeling like the doctor didn't want to deal with us because my daughter " was to complicated" or was it because we didn't have insurance either way I wouldn't recommend this dental office to anyone. Very friendly staff and dentist but I was not comfortable with how quick they are to jump to sedation of all kinds even for minor routine procedures. My children have had other pediatric dentists that do not use any sedation and we've never had a problem with exams or treatments. As a parent I didn't appreciate being made to feel that I was being over protective/crazy for questioning their techniques. Though they say they wouldn't do any treatments that aren't necessary I'm really starting to question that as well. Like I said they have very friendly staff and the dentist was nice enough. The atmosphere is kid friendly so for some people that may not care about how much work is being done in their kid's mouth or what is being put into their child's body it may be ok for you. The most caring, fun, family oriented staff! Dr. Heatons and his team has taken care of my two littles for the last three years. They always made sure the kids felt safe and thoroughly explained all procedures. We are sad to have to move away from such a great office but will always recommend them! Brought my son here since it's close to his orthodontist. I will not be bringing him back here. I take my other kids to Texas Star Smiles and without hesitation, they did X-rays on my kids, no charge,even thou we just moved here and utilized the X-rays at our last duty station. When I made the appointment here at All star, the person had attitude but I still made the appointment. That should have been the red flag for me. My son cannot get X-rays because it was utilized for the year already and they tried to push it on me and said it would be $44. I denied it. The dentist here just cares about money. I would have paid it if they would have told me about this charge when I made the appointment especially since I asked about any charges after they looked up my insurance. I took my 1 yr old to his first appointment here. I was very impressed. They are very focused on the children and love them. When we took him in, they put us in a small room and had the dental assistant come in to speak with us about good dental care. We learned a lot as adults about how to care for your teeth! It was great information. After that, the dentist came in and looked at his mouth and brushed his teeth for us. It's not pleasant for any child but they were very caring. The office staff soothed my son and put him in a happier mood after his cleaning as we were checking out. All around great experience! As for the paper work side, they are very efficient. When I called for my first appointment they emailed me all the paperwork that got him set up immediately. When we walked into to office the day of the appointment, all we had to do was electronically sign off at the front desk. Very simple, time saving practice! read more
