Extremely Unprofessional Response to a Customer Concern…read more I took my vehicle to this shop on August 5, 2026, for an A/C compressor replacement. Afterward, I noticed issues with my vehicle, including damage around the wheel-well area and a problem with the fog light, so I contacted the shop to ask what happened and requested that the matter be addressed. Instead of simply inspecting the vehicle and professionally discussing my concerns, I was initially told that they "never went under" my vehicle or did anything to the front of it, despite having replaced the A/C compressor. I told them I wanted to discuss the situation and, for documentation purposes, intended to record our phone conversation. They said they did not consent to being recorded--but then immediately told me that all of their own phone calls and in-person conversations at the office are recorded. What bothered me most was how quickly the conversation became personal. Rather than keeping the discussion about my vehicle, the company representative told me that I "obviously have an anger problem," suggested I "call a psychiatrist and/or a pastor," said they would "pray for" me, and then told me never to call, text, or contact them again. That is an incredibly inappropriate way for a business to respond to a customer questioning the condition of their vehicle after repairs. I was not asking for anything unreasonable. I wanted the vehicle inspected, an explanation of what occurred, and an opportunity to resolve the issue. In fact, they initially said that if the fog-light issue was caused by them, they would make it right. Unfortunately, the conversation deteriorated into personal insults instead of customer service. Whether or not the shop ultimately believes it caused the damage, there is no excuse for speaking to a paying customer this way. I have screenshots of the entire conversation and would strongly recommend that anyone considering this shop document the condition of their vehicle before and after service and keep all communications in writing. One star based primarily on the way my concern was handled and the completely unprofessional communication that followed.

Despite some of the mixed reviews I've seen, my personal experience has been consistently positive. Anytime I've had questions. especially "what if" or scenario-based questions, they took the time to answer them thoroughly and professionally. I was always given clear explanations and all available options, which allowed me to make informed decisions about repairs without feeling pressured. They've also stood behind their work. In one instance involving an inner door panel repair, I pointed out a discrepancy after pickup. They immediately ordered a replacement and corrected the issue to my satisfaction without hesitation. That level of accountability matters. There were also times when I needed services they didn't offer, and instead of trying to upsell or take on work outside their scope, they were upfront and referred me elsewhere. I appreciated that honesty. In addition to this, there was a time a brought a foreign vehicle I was considering purchasing for my daughter to Pete's Auto for an inspection. They performed a thorough evaluation and were honest about the condition of the car, ultimately saving me from purchasing a vehicle that would have required nearly $5,000 in repairs that the local dealer DID NOT disclose despite saying they had completed a bumper to bumper inspection. That level of transparency and expertise reinforced my trust in their recommendations. One thing I think is important for people to understand, especially when reading negative reviews, is that high-mileage foreign vehicles will require costly repairs regardless of where you take them. That's the nature of the vehicle, not the shop. At that point, it becomes a personal decision whether to continue investing in the car or move on to something with lower maintenance costs. Compared to dealership pricing, Pete's Auto has consistently been far more reasonable. Overall, their professionalism, communication, knowledge, and willingness to stand behind their work have earned my trust. I highly recommend Pete's Auto to anyone looking for a reliable, knowledgeable shop for foreign vehicle maintenance and repairs, without paying dealership prices.

The dealer's Master Tech couldn't even give me a proper diagnosis. I dropped it off at Pete's, and within 24 hours, they identified a voltage spike from an old battery that fried the instrument cluster. Within 4 days, they secured warranty approval and parts. They also caught a transmission leak that the dealer missed. MJ was awesome and made everything easier than I thought. Their competence and communication are top-tier. They have a customer for Life in me.
