In one instance involving an inner door panel repair, I pointed out a discrepancy after pickup. They immediately ordered a replacement and corrected the issue to my satisfaction without hesitation. There were also times when I needed services they didn't offer, and instead of trying to upsell or take on work outside their scope, they were upfront and referred me elsewhere. I appreciated that honesty. In addition to this, there was a time a brought a foreign vehicle I was considering purchasing for my daughter to Pete's Auto for an inspection. They performed a thorough evaluation and were honest about the condition of the car, ultimately saving me from purchasing a vehicle that would have required nearly $5,000 in repairs that the local dealer DID NOT disclose despite saying they had completed a bumper to bumper inspection. That level of transparency and expertise reinforced my trust in their recommendations. One thing I think is important for people to understand, especially when reading negative reviews, is that high-mileage foreign vehicles will require costly repairs regardless of where you take them. That's the nature of the vehicle, not the shop. At that point, it becomes a personal decision whether to continue investing in the car or move on to something with lower maintenance costs. I cannot recommend Pete's Otto enough. I brought my 2020 Mazda Miata RF to them after it sat at the local Mazda dealership for nearly 6 weeks. The dealer's Master Tech couldn't even give me a proper diagnosis. I dropped it off at Pete's, and within 24 hours, they identified a voltage spike from an old battery that fried the instrument cluster. Within 4 days, they secured warranty approval and parts. They also caught a transmission leak that the dealer missed. MJ was awesome and made everything easier than I thought. Their competence and communication are top-tier. Pete's gave my car back to me with the interior trashed from a homeless person and exhibiting all the same symptoms I asked to be diagnosed and repaired. I have no idea whether the $3,200 repair I paid for was necessary or even completed. They cleaned the interior when I complained but wanted another $2,000 to fix the car. They were friendly, but if I need to spend more money to get the car fixed I'd rather pay someone else. read more

Actually got the vehicle 2 weeks and 2 days later because they could not properly diagnose the vehicle and had a delay in parts. After diagnosing one problem and a delay in parts, they found another problem... and then had to wait for parts again... THEN GUESS WHAT.. THIS IS THE BEST PART.... Two weeks after we picked up the car, we're still having the same problem THE CAR WAS DROPPED OFF FOR! Make that make sense? So yes we've called frustrated, but instead of management knowing how to handle a problem-- they hang up in your face without a proper goodbye and DENY you to speak to the General Manager.. I've never seen a more unprofessional place IN MY LIFE! ... and again, not to mention the car is still having the same problems it was dropped off for. That's the part that amazes me! I want to express my total disappointment with Pete's Otto's work on my BMW. The pricing was outrageous, and the quality of the work was far below any reasonable standard. They sent me home with what they said was a completely repaired car, on way home it broke down so when I brought it back they charged me over a 1000$ more to repair a car they had totally signed off on. They are Pirates who inflate their prices to totally gouge the public. The experience was nothing short of horrible, and I would strongly advise against taking your vehicle to this garage. They failed to deliver on even the most basic expectations, and I cannot recommend their services to anyone, EVER. read more

We were traveling cross country Our car wouldn't start after we turned it off to get gas. We git a jump and went to auto zone. Auto zone said it was the alternator and not the battery. So we came to Pete's garage. I can't say enough about the service we received. They ordered the alternator. Offered to help us get a rental car. If you wanna test and decided no it wasn't the alternator it was in fact the battery They got a battery and install it so we could be on our way. Excellent job would highly recommend them to anyone who has a foreign car that needs work. read more

My 2014 BMW 428i check engine light came on when I was traveling through Valdosta and I called them. When I got there the shop had Mercedes, Range Rivers, BMW and Aston Martin's being worked which gave me comfort immediately that they were experts. They diagnosed the problem and didn't try to upsell me then fixed it at a fair price. Good people you can trust-they know their stuff too. Only took a few minutes for them to figure out the O2 sensors needed replacing. The owner Tiger said the car was driveable and that I could do the repairs when I got to my destination however I chose to have them fix it versus taking a chance with someone less knowledgeable. read more

Great service at a fair price. My wife and I were traveling home from Florida to St. Louis in our BMW X3, when we broke down on the interstate 30 miles south of Valdosta. We did an internet search, and decided to take a chance on Pete's Otto. I'm so glad we did. Tiger (the owner) sent a wrecker to get us, and it was there within an hour. He took our car in immediately (and was obviously busy with many BMWs, Mercedes, Land Rovers and Porches in his shop). He gave us an estimate (I expected to pay at least $1,000 - it was $435 including the tow). I verified with my friend in the auto repair business that this was a more than fair price. Tiger had us back on the road within two hours. Tiger also let us use his personal vehicle to go get some lunch while the repairs were being done. I am so glad that there are still some businesses that treat people right. He could have easily taken advantage of our situation (we were at his mercy), but he didn't. He knows we won't be back, because we live out of the area. He just treats people right. read more

2016 The water pump broke on my BMW X5 so I took it to Pete's. They repaired the water pump, fan clutch and replaced my serpentine belt in under 3 hours (on a Friday) AND only charged me $200!! I'm so pleased with the end result and the customer service was awesome!! I recommend this ship to anyone looking for professional service and excellent repair work. read more

-5 my time in chain broke on a 2009 mini Cooper they quoted me $2500 when they are finished they charge me $3300 they cannot explain where the extra money came from so I had to pay it drove the car 500 miles the engine light came on oil put 3 1/2 quarts of oil in car noticed they never put the plastic engine cover back on the engine took it back to the shop they did a diagnostic on it saying I needs valve seal guides wanted another $4000 they found my engine cover and put it back on left my car been running good ever since they want to charge me $189 diagnostic fee after that I argued with them They told me just get my car and leave, my belief is when they replace timing chain they didn't put any oil in the car, if they're stupid enough not to put the engine cover back on they're probably stupid enough not to put oil back in it , I don't recommend the shop to no one they say the high luxury cars they work on I'm just a working man I guess they're used to having high dollar clients not the average working man that can't afford their mistakes find anyone but them to work on your car. read more

Took my 06 LR3 to find out why my car was shifting strange around dusk every day I drove it. I thought it had something to do with the auto headlights. They claimed that it never acted up while they had it for 4 days. I paid the $108 and left and as soon as the lights came on the it started shifting strangely. It would rev up pass 4000 had to put in sports mode and manually shift then after several minutes it would automatically lower it and lock out cruise control and 3 warning lights would come. One evening I had turned my lights off before cranking. Was able to drive across town before I needed my lights on and my LR3 shifted normal. I went on a LR forum online and found out it was either my battery or alternator. Had both check for free found out my alternator was not producing enough amps. Bought new alternator and Walker installed for me ($200) now no longer having that problem. Took my LR3 to Pete's because he advertised as a repair shop for European cars and trucks. They don't even like to work on Volkswagen cars. Go to Walker's first. read more

I cannot express how much Pete's Otto Shop saved the day for me when I was traveling from the North to Florida last week. My BMW X5 showed signs of overheating while I was an hour north of Valdosta. I did a quick Google search for BMW repairs in Valdosta and Pete's came up. I called and spoke to Tiger who told me to come on in. I was able to limp in and Tiger and his team figured out immediately the issue and set out to get it repaired. Not only did they provide great service at a very fair price, but they were so welcoming and kind to me. Tiger offered me his personal car to drive around while they repaired my car. They checked in from time to time to let me know how the work was going and were very engaging. My experience could have been very scary and expensive but it was neither. Tiger and his employees are truly great people and I would (and have) referred anyone in the greater Valdosta area with a foreign car to head their way. Well,where to begin?I took my car(vw beetle)for several repairs and my car is in worst shape than when I TOOK IT THERE.I had a bumping noise in front end they said it wasn't the struts was rear bushing control so they replaced $196.50 later now it's the struts THEY say.Changed oil,said givng me a discount charged $65.70 with 28.80 labor.My total repair was 788.93,451.20 labor and 263.35 parts.What is their hourly charge? 28.80 to rotate tires.My car is still making noise in front end as pulling to right now and ratteling inside now and they want 400.00 more to make right.That is for struts,no charge for labor or alighnment.I fill like a FOOL and they raked me.BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
